The question is ....

Hi, Alien Dawg.

Your descriptions at #980 might be experiments that could be examined further. We are not posting that the procedure will work as either we or yourself outlined. We simply post that similar experiments might reveal potentially edifying experiences. There are several grafting techniques that could be employed, not only
`wedge` or `approach` techniques, and not only at those particular stages of growth or development.

Each might be a relatively lengthy processes to complete (at least two to four weeks, or more); having to create a bond where both donated parts form a bond to make them one living organism.

We are not certain about proceeding with the experiment when the blossoming or fruiting might be ongoing; the concept primarily being to recover or use an existing root system mass for vegetative growth of other specimen following its initial usage; though, what you describe may work.

What we attempted to describe was a root stock, following blossoming, removal of foliage and a period of only water (start of revegetation), being employed as a base for scions to be bonded to the existing root system. Or, conversely, wedging a portion of an existing root mass between the split stem of a new scion, in an attempt to form a bond.

Broadly, revegetation of a given specimen might consume anywhere between four to eight weeks to reach the stage where growth might proceed as ordinary (non-blossom type growth). Relevant to your question, it might be possible that the bonding process could be initially taking place during the same span, simultaneously. We are not certain. Difficult to determine; overlapping and different directions of growth (blossoming while the scion is generally desired to be vegetating) occuring at the same period. Might be an interesting area of gardening to explore.

Best,
/SRGB/

I am definitely down for a go at something new. I am keeping the bathroom area for the veg room, and plan to fill in the voids in there with some autoflowers so I can have a 'quick fix' (even though I don't smoke much LOL). There are so many strains on SB that my brain hurts!!
So far I have your BH, maybe a couple 3 or 4 of BOG strains.
Im so overwhelmed it hurts.
Gotta focus and stay in da zone. Been a monocropper for life, don't wanna get too distracted, but im like a kid in a candy store. LOL

You're da best bro. Thanks!!!

That draws people in to not only
Going Vert but coming here to do their thing...

It (at least for me) has a lot to do with the great vibes given off around here.

I think people are inspired to be nice(Give off good vibes)
when someone like you shows them that nice...
Works....

You my friend,

I have a feeling Im going to have to add a taste of grafting into next season.

Im going to be trying to re_veg my 1st cutting...
Getting ready to try and Re-veg a cutting from GSC..

Just to see...

Hi, Alien Dawg.

The scope of each cultivars` revetagation process might be an advantageous dataset to note. Especially if preserving heirloom stock.

There might be an occasion when the soilless gardener, for any number of reasons, might only have access to a single (1) flowering specimen of a special line, with the only way to continue preservation being revegetation of that single specimen.

It might be a rewarding project to test the entirety of your stock relevant to revegetation; perhaps to compile data of your work with a tentative guide for each particular cultivar lines` specifics.

Some may take longer than others to revert. Some may not revert at all.

The revegatation process might also be particularly beneficial if a gardener were to be evaluating several cuttings or seed stock of given cultivar line. It might be that even if all cuttings were derived from the same donor, one of the litter might produce a more abundant set of fruit or flowers, as compared to the others. A `sport` cutting or seedling. While `cutting from cutting` of a sport theoretically would sustain the full genetic profile of the donor specimen, the seed true stock would be the actual base of that genetic preservation.

The soilless gaerdener might want to possess some degree of certainty that the revegetation process might work with that particular specimen, and approximately the length of time required to expect the first signs of new growth.

In any event, revegetation might be a useful tool for the soilless gardener in preserving tested seed stock, observed `sports`, and if the gardener has only a single fruiting or flower specimen of a line and desired to preserve that specimen by reverting it to a vegetative state.

Some points that might be considered; not a large amount of illumination nor nutrients might be needed, continuous illumination might be helpful; removal of flowering or fruiting parts once the the gardener observed the seemingly malformed new growth emerging from nodes and terminal flower tips.

Always a pleasure, SRGB...

Likewise. We are just sharing some generic concepts that we hope might be helpful towards soilless gardening.

A re-veg time/estimate would make a great addition to the strain information listing and could prove useful for others looking to work with my crosses.

So im thinking of a test tote for re-vegetation ladies... Simple enough...

Most of my ladies in flower right now are not strains
I plan to work with, as I believe the beans from these ladies
will be an improved version of said moms....

There fore I think I will work with my 2 most uniqe strains being.
Lambsbread and GS Cookies...

So im thinking of taking 3 cuts of each.

One from the (top-middle-lower)
All with a thick strong branch and health bud sites.
Say 6"-8" long.
Same wicked set up as BH babies are in.

Perhaps jacks hydro at 300 PPM..
Would I want to add N ? Keeping at 300 ppm total.

Would just wicked watering be enough with hand watering once a day.

Ill just sit the tote off to the side of the veg ladies on a 18/6 light cycle.

lol

I have all the parts for a areo cloner (25 x 360 degree spray heads)set up and now im thinking that would be fun...

I got my hand full ATM and needs to stay the course...

I'll make a RV-tote though as this sounds
like some skills I could really use learning.

Y'all are keeping me busy with
some great information and opinions..:tiphat::ying:

Another day at the office...

I need to set up my pollen collection area for the Ga3 ladies.

The all in one PPK in the closet....

They are going back to the closet and
I may try the 150 hps hood with a couple
65w cfl vert in the center on them.

Wish I had a 90w LED...
The 300w Led i have seems a waste of watts...

Anyways...

Coffee breaks over..
