scored a cut of this old skool super elite.... '84 Black Afghan
according to talk... this cut is one of the original building blocks for the infamous UW / or U-dub strain... that has made the PNW and Seattle famous.....from the University of WA and there cannabis breeding program from way back.....supposedly even before the legendary g-13 outta of Mississippi.......


would love sum info or pic's to compare...... anybody thats in the know..... plz share...:peacock:

i think the '84 cut had quasi the same origin up north to the border and high altitude, i mean Kafiristanica!

Sounds like a winning cut to have the '84. Indica from that region would have differences that made the strain completely different from one 10-20 miles away. So many have been lost over the years, can you imagine the selection if they were all still around?
The old rks strain I remember was an afghani strain and not the sweet ones you see today. You are a very lucky soul. Take care of that thing.

I think they simply come from the same old family, dwarf with large and thick leaves, the colors blue, purple or black, sometimes brillant plastic effects too and of course the massive resin production which are due to UV high altitude... Chemotypes would be interesting to compare the cousinerie! Peace. Vibes Yort

found some black phenos in my deepchunk & lapis mnt indica recently both 100% afghans hope you dont mind a couple of pix....hope you can share pix of your 84 black afghan im sure everyone would love to see them.

I've been smoking oil from that for about a month now. I think it's the building block for Mr. Nice but not sure. Came out of UW in 1984, lots of resin, a little sensitive, good pain relief, does not turn any color indoors. That's about all I know on her.

Seems to rarely happen, those in the tight circle stay that way, keeps the cutting/strain "rare" and the "smug" and "$" level high.

Great find, don't mind me being jealous :biggrin: , I know given the chance I would jump over ANY rare cutting like a Life or Death situation. Still waiting for my buddy to get me a Chocolate Thai he's been promising for years... he calls it "Independence Day" as in, it will be the end of the world/aliens attacking before he gives it out i think :tiphat:
