Lots of great reading in this thread alone. Im sure it and the links etc will keep me busy for some time. I have a question though.

Is it even worthwhile for me to pursue a license to grow for myself with the changes in the forecast?

It seems like a lengthy process and I am prepared for that just dont want to waste time and effort if it is a pointless pursuit. I manage to get by on my own as it is and have no problems keeping that up but it would be nice to legitimize the scenario.

Depends where the fulcrum lies for you, but it is leaning towards too late if you want to grow. For some, something is better than nothing. For others, its a waste if time and money. Peace GS

Spoke with the lawyer today. After reading the new Gazette stuff, he says we are done Mar. 31. He says they are by no means ready, nor have the ability to supply. But, that they are shafting everyone anyways. Peace GS

If they don't have the means to supply they'll be had pressed to find a judge that will convict anyone with a licence for cultivation. I still think they've screwed themselves and the courts will still say people can grow once the new laws are challenged. But that's just my opinion....

Ok so got some bad news today my dg is no longer able to grow for me . She finds it too much work to stay on top of everything . So Ive decided to take it over myself . What steps do i need to take to do this?
Can i just grab all my gear and plants get in a car and move it to my new location then notify health canada?
Is there another long waiting period ? To be approved ?

If a designated grower writes a letter to HC stating they can no longer provide services for the patience and the patience decides to grow for them self can the DG still grow (after submitting the letter ) untill the patience gets approval ?

I ask as my DG is right in the middle of a crop and is willing to finish it outfor me .I will be taking over the licence . Now that HC will not allow any changes to the licences after Sept 30th and this process can take some time i like to summit it now so it be in HC hands well before Sept 30 but not at the stake of my crop.

Also if my forms along with my dg letter sits on someones desk for some time at HC and it was in there befor sept can that jsut not issue me a new ppl ?

I would write a letter to HC, letting them know you want to transfer the license from him to you. You want to do it so that you, nor he will be left in limbo. Transfer should coincide, one ends and the other starts. Good luck. Peace GS
