I dared to add a tbl spoon black molasses to the last watering (no other nutes up to now) - no ill effects, maybe a little increased pistil production.
I think the first wave of pistils turning brown has started - see coloring of the distal pistil halves and already very few brown pistils in the close ups.
In my books this marks roughly half-time of flowering.
Down to watering once a week with just a little bit of blackstrap molasses added. I'm hoping for 2 more weeks to increase buds.
The colors are really fantastic:
Unfortunately she doesn't smell at all. I don't know if she is just to small to recognize a smell, or if its due to all the trouble she has been through, or if she will smell later - my last grow of Cream Caramel (an ancestor of Black Cream) did smell quite massively. This is a real Bonsai plant, and I just wanted to finish this grow to learn - the next round will be better.
There is a good percentage of browning pistils already. I didn't look at trichomes specifically, but I think she can still go a week or so.
Nothing special about the plant, a few more days, ore maybe a week.
But I got a new camera, to be more precise, I got my first own camera, the other one was borrowed. Colors are closer to reality than with the other one:
I started the next round growing Black Cream, as I think the tent will be free in the next days. Hopefully, I will do better this time around.
I improved my setup for germination and seedling phase. A small green house is placed between the chinese "crap" LEDs, on which rests a new LED light with cluster LEDs, which I will show in more detail later. The new LED has a specialized seedling setting, and will be started as soon as the seedlings show - atm it is off.
After 12 hours in tap water and 12 hours in wet cellulose, I could see where the tap roots break the seed shell and placed them tap root downwards in moist Root Riot cubes.
Okay, I messed up again - trying to help the one plant with the shell was wrong...over night the stem snapped half way through (probably the stem was torn a bit). The stem straightened during the day, but there is a substantial defect. Dunno what will become of her, leaves are still growing thou:
The other one looks good, her frist set of true leaves pointing straight up:
Turned off the chinese crap LEDs, and turned the Growsun LED to 50% of seedling mode.
This grow is about to finish in the next days. Trichs are almost all cloudy, a few amber in between. However, I think there still too many white pistils to harvest her:
Today I gave her a few hours summer-sun bath, and took some pictures.
After all, she didn't produce much bud, but what she did looks damn fine. Trichs are all cloudy, but still only few amber in between - maybe it can be seen on the pics (zooming my originals shows each trich in detail). Although there is still some new pistil growth, I plan to start 24 hours darkness tomorrow to harvest in two days.
Looking fukin incredibly sexy right now. Can't wait til you harvest. Also how much was that LED light? Been thinking about upping my wattage. Awesome grow tho man, i'll stay tuned ^_^
