Hmmmm......I think HL`s new thread shows what happens with 4 plants and 5 lights in an X pattern where each plant gets blasted by 3 sideways lights at all times.....
The larger the room the more lumens are dissipated instead of concentrated back at the plants , not to mention how it`s all but impossible to control environment in massive sq ftg areas , and that`s why.......
ALL my old head growbro`s in medville that started out runnin mega light warehouse setups cuz they had the resources and scrips to do so listened to this old ass sooner than later and went with smaller fliprooms finishing behind each other for ease of trim and perpetually having product for market on a regular basis, and have done so since the late 90`s......
Environment`s waaaay easier to dial in smaller areas while providing optimum watts per sq ft with everything not green covered in the best reflective material of your choice , meaning Orca , reflectix , or the new prodex.....anyways......
It matters not if yas run a 1000 light setup just cuz yas can if yas don`t dial environment BEFORE yas blast light at the plants......bet on it....and hey....
I just know what`s worked for me and all my guys on the left coast I met many yrs ago online and even up into BC where you must be close to Disciple , so it sounds like we`re on the same page as far as providing optimum wattage , although I fully understand D9`s thoughts and written knowledge of "over-lighting" plants and causing photo-inhibition......but....
With smaller rooms 50 watts per sq ft produces a superior end result product IME with walls and ceilings covered in reflectix per my old setups with the concrete floors painted with ultra-flat white bathroom mildewcidal paint mixed with epoxy for garage floors to prevent peeling and insure bonding.......anyways....
If yas can`t grow big plants , surround your bare bulbs with plants......If yas CAN grow big bitches , surround your plants with lights.....simple....babyshit.....
Peace....Freds...........
