big plant ppk

Hmmmm......I think HL`s new thread shows what happens with 4 plants and 5 lights in an X pattern where each plant gets blasted by 3 sideways lights at all times.....

The larger the room the more lumens are dissipated instead of concentrated back at the plants , not to mention how it`s all but impossible to control environment in massive sq ftg areas , and that`s why.......

ALL my old head growbro`s in medville that started out runnin mega light warehouse setups cuz they had the resources and scrips to do so listened to this old ass sooner than later and went with smaller fliprooms finishing behind each other for ease of trim and perpetually having product for market on a regular basis, and have done so since the late 90`s......

Environment`s waaaay easier to dial in smaller areas while providing optimum watts per sq ft with everything not green covered in the best reflective material of your choice , meaning Orca , reflectix , or the new prodex.....anyways......

It matters not if yas run a 1000 light setup just cuz yas can if yas don`t dial environment BEFORE yas blast light at the plants......bet on it....and hey....

I just know what`s worked for me and all my guys on the left coast I met many yrs ago online and even up into BC where you must be close to Disciple , so it sounds like we`re on the same page as far as providing optimum wattage , although I fully understand D9`s thoughts and written knowledge of "over-lighting" plants and causing photo-inhibition......but....

With smaller rooms 50 watts per sq ft produces a superior end result product IME with walls and ceilings covered in reflectix per my old setups with the concrete floors painted with ultra-flat white bathroom mildewcidal paint mixed with epoxy for garage floors to prevent peeling and insure bonding.......anyways....

If yas can`t grow big plants , surround your bare bulbs with plants......If yas CAN grow big bitches , surround your plants with lights.....simple....babyshit.....

Peace....Freds.....:ying:......

My new room is 10' x 20' with a 3 ton mini-split, 200pt dehuey, pond fogger, CO2 generator, 6.8kw in light... I've had the easiest time dialing in this environment just by setting the controls... vs. my smaller air-exchanged rooms. The temps sit at 84F and about 60% RH right now. I'm working on getting the RH up to 65-70%, just gotta buy another fan.

I think the easiest way to dial the room in depends on the budget. This was also the most expensive room I've built, but a low-ball figure of my first harvest is around $20k...

Disciple I checked out those cheese undercurrent grows on youtube, impressive stuff!

You're right about the quality being more and more important, especially bag appeal. From what I've seen people choose weed with their eyes first and their noses second. Complex flavors and the quality of the high may keep the aficionados coming back, but the initial bag appeal is still the #1 factor around here.

Nice! For me personally im doing a head to head of my 10x20's vs my 10x10's.

10x10 with 5k
10x20's with 8.4k
I have a feeling I will turn my 10x20's into 10x10's before the end of the year..

When are you gonna try a love machine?

I really meant to be more diplomatic with my last comment. Sorry. One of those "overkill is underrated" things, with all the over-sized equipment to do the job. Oh well.

I should have the space for a ppk in a few more weeks. Just waiting for my veg room to empty out. I know I've said I was going to do it a while ago, but life has been changing very fast for me lately. Who knows what will happen next week.

Running the 10'x20's with less light than the 10'x10's isn't a fair comparison... are you going on weight per lamp?

For me the 10'x20' was because I got a great deal on my split, and so it just made sense to build one big room and run it at night. I don't have the space for another room or I would have built it already.

don't worry about it, just try to be nice to each other first. nothing weak about being nice.

in the old days the definition of a gentleman or gentlewoman was "a person who strove to make those around them feel as comfortable as possible at all times".

it's a noble thing to do and is always correct.

bout time you built a ppk!

i thought i'd take a moment to explain my posting situation. about 4 weeks ago i began a new hep c antiviral therapy. i have gotten progressively more ill as a result and my latest blood work shows me turning somewhat anemic.

i am very weak physically and am having trouble functioning but i am getting it all done, in pieces.

anyone needing help should post here to the general group rather than to me personally. i especially won't have time for long detailed responses in pm.

i've got 2 more months of this intense part and then a year of the balance.

at this juncture there are a lot of folks who understand this thing as well as i do and i'm sure someone will come along soon to answer your questions.

thanks
