Hey y'all

I'm hoping someone can help me even though I don't have a picture yet.

I'm about 25 days into flower, so far everything has been going along great. I have 6 plants in a 4.5 x 4.5 tent with a 400 HPS, growing in coir.

Yesterday I noticed the Nepali Rukum (sativa) plants very droopy. For a few days now they've been having a sort of taco leaf look, curled under along both edges.

Now today there's a very strong chlorophyll smell. The room has normally been stinking of skunk (I can get away with the smell issue fortunately, so I don't have a carbon filter).

Two days ago both of the Nepalis looked good. Yesterday not as good. Today, terrible. I'll try and get a picture later tonight. The other 4 plants look fine.

The only two things I've changed are: added molasses to the nute water the last two feedings.

Temperature outside has increased. I was using the lighting for heat in that room, because it has been cold as hell in my house. Now we've jumped into spring and suddenly it's like 20-30 degrees warmer.

I raised the lights up a few feet, since the two Nepalis are the tallest plants in the room. I also opened the tent doors wide and put a fan drawing air in from outside the tent. It felt kind of muggy in there. That chlorophyll smell was hurting me, like my plants were cooking.

Is this likely to just be heat stress? What else should I do besides get pictures?

Thanks

GYPSYNIRVANA CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THIS IS?

GYPSYNIRVANA CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THIS IS?

hi gypsynirvana, what do you think this might be
I have had this problem for months, I've tried just about everything to get rid of it but without success.
I start the sprouted seeds in "Root-it" sponge cubes. These cubes are about 50mm high, if the seed is 3mm high and i plant it 3mm into the sponge cube then that means the seed has to put out a tap root approximately 44mm before it shows out the bottom of the cube. It is doing this in about 2-3 days after planting and the seed leaves have sprouted through the surface of the cube and the stalk has started to grow, this means that the tap root is managing to grow fast and healthy and get to at least 40mm long before it emerges from the bottom of the sponge. All this seems to be fine and the tap root always emerges brilliant white and healthy looking. It's only when the tap root grows out of the bottom of the cube to about 10mm long does the end of the root turn brown and die, see pic 1-2. THe feeder roots try to come through but shrivel, go wirey and eventually disappear altogether, see pic 3-4. Temp and humidity are ok. Food if any (sometimes just water which is bottled) and ph are ok. Circulating air fans seem to make it worse.
I try to keep out as much light as possible and I've tried transplanting as soon as i can see the root, but it didn't help. The seeds are definitely trying their best to root but seem to be catching something as soon as they appear which is wiping them out very quickly.
I've tried lots of different vegetable seeds but the same thing happens to them. This leads me to believe it might be something in the air.
I did have a small amount of black mould on a wall and skirting board behind a wardrobe in an adjoining room and i wonder if the spores have infested everything. I cleaned both rooms very thoroughly several times with different chemicals including a fungicide, i've also tried ozone.

Watered it with regular water and went away for a few days and when I came back this was the result, the plant has been overall sick for some reason earlier, but this is first time it has gone this far D:

Growing in soil, stealth system. 125W light.

The odd thing is that the other plant isn't suffering similar symptoms at all..

Hey guys, it's my first grow and I don't know if I should be worrying about this. I have 2 pretty healthy looking plants, but there's this lone leaf that has a dried-up yellow tip. It looks like it's creeping up on the leaf...is it a disease or just natural dying off?

I'm growing in Ocean Forest soil under 4 26W CFL's. The plants are 3 weeks from seed. Thanks!

magnesium deficiency ?

magnesium deficiency ?

Factsheet
------------
First Indoor Grow on Soil, 3x Jack Flash #5, 1x C99
25th Day of Flower
PH of Water 6,4 - 6,8 (tap water)
Size: about 3 ft
Startet with slowly with fertilization with Hesi Bloom 2 weeks ago, because of deficiencies and lower leaves falling of. Lower Leaves are ok now.

Problem
----------
Leaves in middle to upper Part of the Plant looking not healty, yello with green vains. Symtoms get worse very slowly. Jack has more sickness than C99.

I used some once full dosage HESI Bloom 4 days ago in hope it helps against this problem, nothing happend. I increased also PH from 6,4 to 6,8 in hope it helps the plant to get more magnesium.
Use also now tapped water with bottled water (bottled has more magnesium than in the tapped).

Is this is magnesium deficiency ?
What can do. I sprayed a little epsom salt on the leaves today and hope it helps. Still worrying about my plants :comfort:

@bluefoodie

Some of my plants startet similar in veggi.
Now it is worse. Maybe it is magnesium deficiency also.
But i think if you got just one sick leaf it is nothing to worry.

Thanks Sat, yes it get very, very slowly worse, going on for more than 2 weeks.
I sprayed with epsom salt and today i gave a tsp of ES in 5 Liter water.

Pic of whole plant ist nearly impossible, plants standing tight to each other, don´t even know which bud belongs to which plant. Can´t move them anymore :D

But die upper buds looking quite healthy. Just a few leaves are yello. The Jack Flash #5 seems anyway very difficult to grow, figured this out to late.

Donblaze, what is The PH of Soil/draining water ?
I didn't understand how you are Feeding them ? How old is the Soil ?
When have you started with bloom nutrients, when switching to 12/12 or later ? Have you checked EC ?

@AshitMyself
Are the older leaves affected ? Are the buds stopped to grow bigger ? High PH in Soil ?

Then possibly phosphorus deficiency !? The Plants need more Phosphor in Flower.
Just couple of times EC 1,3 is not much i think.

Problem: Seeds in hydro

Problem: Seeds in hydro

Hey all, having problems with seed starts. Just got crushed by broad/cyclamen mites, had to toss my entire garden. I ordered feminized seeds, haven't gone from seed into rockwool hydro - always cloned in the past. here are some stats before pics:

1. 2-3 days germination in wet paper towel method
2. into 1" rockwool AOK cubes soaked 5.5ph , 0ppm water (RO)
3. placed into humid dome, 18 hrs light on/6 off. florescent T5s
4. temps lights on 80 deg, 55 humidity
5. 2-3 days in humid dome and stem popped, dropped the seed.
6. 1 week after germination - mistake: did some over watering, noticed when pinched 1" cube, water streamed out. I squeezed all the water out, left 1" moist, and only water when cubes dry-ish.
7. 8-9 days after germination removed humid dome and placed 1" into soaked 6" rockwool cube grodan hugo.
8. yellow spots showing on leaves, slow growth, light green. 30% of sprouts look sick, and more getting yellowish.
9. day 10 after germination (yesterday) added 15ml/gallon rhizotonic (kelp) to RO water, balanced to 5.5, did light watering to 1" cube sitting inside 6" cube.

I'm wayyy stressed. After losing everything to broad mites I gotta get going again! I've always just started from clones - ez cloner or humid dome with no issues. I have to get these babes back on track and figure this out as I've got more seeds on the way. Any tips advise or direction from you pros out there with experience starting seeds in hydro thank YOU!

^^^ I think I figured out the issue: overwatering + ph. RO water is NOT okay to balance and put straight onto seedlings. RO or 'dead' water is completely unstable and cannot hold a consistent ph, which I already knew and why I add cal/mag during regular conditions. Having started from clone for so long, I took some seed advise that wasn't so good. I fixed the prob with a light mix of cal/mag and kelp.

b/c I was seeing ph issues I watered again to fix the ph, which over-saturated the medium
