10 year BoggleGum shout out to BOG

Once upon a time on og... I was a bucket wanting knowledge and I found a lot in BOG which prompted me to get BOGs bogglegum as my first strain. Lets just say its still around and it can't be bested!! Literally 10 years of cloning it and it still blows people's minds and no one can get enough. It's at the top,of everyone's list who has smoked it in the past 10 years.

I wanted to personally say thank you on the part of so many people. You're the Michael Jordan of this craft in my book.

It's odd it's taken this long to look into how to contact you but life, of course, has happened in that time.

If possible, would be cool to exchange messages. Thank you sir.

Hey BogglegumVet, yea BOG puts out some very nice strains. Glad you found something special. By the way BOG has a forum here and once you get your post count up you can pm him but for now you can find him in his forum or leave him a visitors message. Hope you get to talk to him, he also helped me out a lot back on OG. Welcome to ICMag. Take care 1

looking really bubblegummy yummy!
I had a pack of Serious seeds bubblegum around 2001-2. Had some amazing pheno's...
One pheno was a pink flushed bubblegum on an indica frame.(wish I had kept that one)
a good range of pheno's, but they where all dank
the pheno I kept and passed around was like a hybrid indica structure of pure frost. ready anytime after 6 weeks. I used to take her to the end of week 8(everything going well)
Full 9 weeks for that sparkle like no other, the aroma...wow that never gets old,its that fruity skunky somewhat pink bubblegum with that super stong and enjoyable high, great for party's,really social weed. This will get you talking allthe way to your fridge, hehe!
anyway I got this strain in 20001-2(I think) grew out the pack, picked my favo then ran with tthat for nearly 4 maybe 5 years? passing it all around at the same time, I passed it to one good friend (jackfrost 99) who continued to clone it for another 5 year's at least.
(I also crossed it to hashplant for the uk bashplant )those beans are floating around the UK) Blah blah, sorryfor the ramble ...you got me started and I love that strain.I think i'm gonna grow it again.
The old version had amazing mold resistance.I've seen rooms so infested with mold(bud rot) that it was growing through the walls and the Bubblegum was still perfect! everything else, SSh, Nebula where trashed with mold..
Everyone should rock the Bubblegum
ps the hash is just redankulas!
mack..

I couldn't agree more. Bubblegum has amazing genetics and no on3 has mastered them quite like the master bog.

If you want some bubblegum strains, you go to the master lol.

Thanks for your kind words. I have been cloning my elite SB mom and growing her for more than ten years now and my product is considered top of the heap anywhere I take it.

Clones do not degrade if selection is properly done. Your name honors me sir.

Bogglegum won the 2011 HT Med Cup in San Francisco. That pic looks very dank.

Texas love my Bogglegum and I love Texans. A huge state that is like about four states actually. People in Dallas are pretty cool. The more stoners in Texas the better but your moron Governer has been doing too many dabs. ;)

I kid Rick P.

could you please elaborate on this a little more? i find this quote very interesting, i would love to hear from the master. i have followed you work for quite a while and have a nice selection of sour bubble that i am very fond of, i also did some work with a SB male that turned out great... thanks a million Bog

BogglegumVet that nug looks fantastic...... I was wondering if you could describe what your keeper pheno is like?

Thanks

My garage in Montana where I grew some big indoor beauties.

On the cloning there has been a running debate, one between Soma and Jason that I recall.

I agreed with my respected friend and mentor Soma. He is Master Soma and his knowledge is rarely disputed by many growers including myself.

Master Soma made the assertion that the genetics of a clone were secure and lasting. I agree as commercial clones in agriculture continue to be used for indefinite periods.

Clones only weaken when selection of clones is done improperly. Cut clones only from string and healthy plants. Never let your moms get too old. Clone a mom three times or less and just flower them out. The mistaken belief that many cuttings from cuttings weakens them is why people keep old moms. This causes their problems.

As evidence Soma and I have old clones and I clone every SB clone plant because I grow continuous production (bonanza of green). I top every clone to replace itself and it's always the top growing tip. I also take a few extras when needed from older verging clones with more branches. One last thing.

I don't aero clone. We found this to be counter productive and we just use rapid rootes in cone trays and we rarely lose a clone. Cloning machines make noise and use electricity and they also often make weaker clones.

That's my opinion. Seed breeders should tell the truth but it could be in our interest to lie.

There are many lies believed by growers but these topics are controversial and I don't mean to diss anyone. Including Master Jason. Weakening does occur. Bog

Sir Bog, thank you for the clarification on that subject, i agree cloning mothers for to long takes it's toll on the plants we have been taking clones from every crop right before flower with out keeping moms around at all; just vegging production plants;

i never bought in to the whole genectic drift theory

Getting seeds to select your own clone moms from is far better than taking someone elses clones because you can bring mold or mites into your room.

Regular seeds are best to use for a clone selection verses demonized seeds. I meant feminized. ;)

I also do not like auto flowering and I consider it a bad trait. Lots of outdoor growers don't want plants to flower before they want them to.

You can even make seeds from my seeds but don't tell the other breeders I said that. Bog

That's what I did with some sour bubble seeds I got like 5 years ago and all the females I get are just crazy good I have not found a bubble i didn't like. And I have 1000 plus seeds to play with.I have not bought seeds since I only have 2 plants that do not have bubble in them that's my White widow {12year clone} and BLUE satellite {2 year clone}both are great weed but my bubble phenotypes are just the best and BOG I never smoked a better weed and I have smoked 100s been stoned for 38 years and it's nice to work with your genetics thank you .

Interesting.. was wondering what happened to the Blurple (DJ Short's Blueberry X Afghan Kush X GDP) after a while, it's still a great producer thats strong but it used to have one of the most unique and wholesome flavors, first time it went through when we got the cut it was solid purple though color isnt a concern but that aroma!! But after 3 runs it started expressing more and more like DJ Short's Blueberry, having a winning cut of her to see it happen side by side, but still with the Blurple structure and bigger leaves.. still alright but I almost can't tell the difference flavorwise, maybe slightly hashier, but still totally different and not as potent..
All you gotta do is not horde an old mom? Got it. Thanks a ton BOG I hope to see you at the HTCC in September! I would do anything to bring the Blurple back but work it's traits so that they will retain with generations of cuttings :(
maybe pollinate our blueberry with an earthy GDP and then outcross it to an old afghan after being satisfied with a worked BBxGDP pheno a few filial generations? bah idk..clutter and ideas

I'll take any B.O.G. strain over any O.G. strain, unless it is an O.G. cross BOG made, then I gotta do the Pepsi challenge. Would it be callled Bogog or Ogbog?
