Ok so I asked the seller to prove to me these things are throwing out 1200 watts and I asked about the drivers they are using as well and here is the reply:

Dear friend,

Thanks for your kind response.

The light is actual 1200w light for there are 240pcs 5w leds in the light, so the light is real 1200w light. We are using Epistar 5W leds to our lights, and you can go to Epistar website to check.

There are 9pcs drivers in the light, and you can open the light to check. The lumen of the light is 32400lu, and this lumen will affect the function of the light. The real power consumption will now affect the function of the light. PLS don't worry.

So they have now given me permission to open up the light and check lol so I will try and get some pics of these drivers but I have already told them just because they stick in 240 5w LEDs it does not mean that that's the power of the light, as it depends on the drivers that power them that they do not say much about..

Is it just me , or do the suggested hanging distances above canopy look a bit far away ?

Ran ledgurls early abomination about six inches away without spotting and last years dropbay,s the same , and use a 600 sodium at eighteen inches burn radius without a cool tube.

If the newer lights really have this high output and penetration i would be tempted to build one , in a Wallace and Gromit style with unfeasably large sandcast heatsinks and lots of rivets.

My luck with not paying any duty or import ended today with an invoice coming through from Fedex for £54.37 So put them all in the UK for just over £1400 Off to go and test the amps now and try and get some pics of the insides

£1400 is pricey for 3 lights. I was complaining about £250 for the sun system air cooled 1000watters... But, If they perform as described by Dirk Diggs, et-al, then your ass will be less sore that's for sure

Hey shhh tbh mate if these things are as good as peeps say then I am not concerned by the price and if they are not then I can always add aircooled HPS alongside them.
No plant pics yet but only did some the other day LMAO impatient git.

I took the lights apart today and also ran amp test and volts test:

Light 1 : 495 watts / 2.10 amps
Light 2 : 505 watts / 2.15 amps
Light 3 :476 watts / 2.01 amps

I took it apart and inside are 9 drivers (4 down each side and one in the middle) with a whole bunch of Chinese symbols on them but also some English so here is what they say AC 100V 240V, 55W - 100V.

Thanks mate welcome to the show it will get a lot better when the system starts filling up and flowering, but due to heat issues in the vegging room it got delayed.

Dank Demon think you will find they out perform a 600w hid even if there drawing only 500w. My 600w leds were out performing a 600w hid. At the moment got 900w leds on one side of room and a 600w hid on opposite site of room to put temp up, theres a big difference in growth even at this relatively early stage. I think some companies do put a higher voltage through the leds but that defo decreases there life span have seen some leds melted inside a unit, if you notice all the led manufacturers dont recommend having them on 24hrs a day as they need time to cool down. Better to have your light last three years instead of one.
