Born Losers Bathtub Blowout

Never posted anything on forums before...so heres a few:
Freebie autos? Figured Id try em out. Diesel, Yumbolt, Critical. 6 total. Roots soil. Seaweed, Trinity, GH 2 part, calmag. I was expecting tiny plants...things got out of hand FAST!! Planted last week or so of May:

I kept telling myself " why scrog or train these guys? They wont amount to much" LOL!:blowbubbles:

Now to figure out a plan...little late, but better late...

Welcome to ICMag!!!!!!!

Nice plants!

Scrog it up man - they look like they in one already :)

:joint:

Thanks for the welcome, and thanks to all the cool people here. I have been 'around' for a long time, just never really checked out anything on the web much. Finally decided 'why not??!!'. Never to old to learn more!!

I will set up a scrog somehow. All the branches seem to have self-leveled. That's the biggest thing I noticed about the autos. Some of the lowest branches are taller than the main tops! Its pretty cramped in there, I better get at it!!
I could splay them all out and see if they still fit under the 400 CMH. If not I can stuff a 1000 in there instead. I love my little CMH though... :)

Things are looking good. They are still stretching about 2 inches a day. Tallest ones are just under 3 feet. The fruity and skunks smells of the vegging plants has turned to a grassy/freshly mowed lawn smell... And there's zero signs of any trichs. :-\
Hopefully those 2 things change soon. I've been growing the same sensi seeds California indica for so long that anything new is kinda freaking me out. Gotta say the growth rate and bushiness (with no pruning) is amazing to me. :)
I did stop the seaweed and GH. Now they are getting trinity and age old bloom. Time will tell.

Some are well over 36 inches now. Not looking too bad, but theres still no signs of any crystals at all. Smell is a tad better now. Thinking of tying them all back to screens and dropping in a 1000w vert tube. That means work though...but Im sure the payoff would be worth it.
First pic is auto critical, coming along...

Second pic is half the bunch, couldn't get them all in. These are auto diesel .

They really seem to be drinking up the nutes, but Im weary of overfeeding.
It sure is nice having a crop that's lit 24/7-- I can go in there anytime, and with my crazy schedule it works out great.

looking great born loser. autos get bad names from people that make an early mistake , and get a midget plant and blame the genetics, and go bad mouthing them on sites. your plants are coming along great, and I can't wait to see the future. I know you dont have the room, but auto's will stretch with a good tie down for an increased yield. peace and best of luck!

Thanks bro. ;)
I never expected them to get 40" tall for sure. They are STILL getting taller.
From the looks of the 2 sets of pics I posted 6 days apart, they have been hitting almost 3" a day (judging from the yellow lids height in the background. That's fuckin insane to me. Ive kinda been 'under a rock', growing the same clone/seed for eons--so I really don't know anything other than the Cali Indica I started in '97. I rarely ever get those near 30". I have the room for sure, it just needs a rebuild--which is planned to be ready at the end of Sept, for fall. 12x12. I am going to set the autos here up in a corner tomorrow with some screens and see if I can get them tied back to the walls so I can squeeze a 1000w cooltube down in them. No point in half-assing them just because Im being lazy. Its a little late, but with a month or so left, I think it should really help them pack on some weight.
Now off to the 'Depot for some stuff. :)
Thanks for stopping by man!

so I put in a 1000w hps, but with the 105 degree temps outside and air handler being on the brink, it was too hot for me. I kept the 400, but went vertical. I can already see the buds filling out more. This should be a good yield--a lot more than I expected!
Flushed the tubs last night with plain water, ready to blast them when they dry a bit.

Sorry to hear about the heat issues, but you got some nice fruit on it's way. Congrats, and keep up the good work.

Thanks my friend. :)
The ac in the house is so old. I did take it apart and clean the evaporator today. Holy shit, it was nasty!! Its cooling better, but needs to be replaced before I fire up the new big room with 2-3K watts. The cool tube definitely helps out for now.

They stopped the stretch finally. Some ph issues popped up in a couple of plants, so I'll deal with that tonight so I can have them nice and healthy before hittin' them with some MOAB.
They are really filling out, and most of them are pumping out the trichomes now..finally. :)
With the cooler temps and a bit better AC (cleaned filthy evap) I might hang another 400 or even a 1000 over the top if I can get the new light controller (for the new digs) wired up to the breaker box. Id really like to see what these autos can do in these big pots with tons of light...
Heres whats up today:

and last but not least, a FAIL at getting a decent group shot:

things are looking ok. Fattening up.
Learned a few lessons on this one..no big deal. Got a new ph pen. Old one was waaay off. :( Need to stick to my old nutes. More bottles=more issues for me. Water in new house sucks, need to hookup RO. Dry-ass hot summers suck too.
But overall it will be a good chop. These are definitely all over the place. All the Diesels are different. Very sativa. Very touchy. But they are gonna be some nice fluffy arms. The critical looks good, smells awesome. Grows like Im used to growing. :)
The Yumbolt is huge-43", tons of tops. Smells like fruity baby poop that burns your nose.
I will be glad to get em all done and move on to bigger and better things. The ghetto grows gotta stop and the new digs is gonna be sweet. :)

Sucks I planted 3 in each tub. Now they all need different feeds, and I cant do that. I knew better, oh well!
Definitely getting stinky in here. :)
Its tough to get any full-on shots, heres the very top of a few. The criticals are definitely the best looking so far. They are all nice except 1 diesel that pretty leafy/sativa, and shes having a rough life---curly leaves are crispy and nasty in spots..

O

OKD

...The ghetto grows gotta stop and the new digs is gonna be sweet. :)

Lookin' good! Don't look like no ghetto grow :) You know anything about topping autos? I got my first one goin' and I'm not sure if I should dare top it...
Peace and good luck in the new space!

I wouldn't top it unless its absolutely needed. I know they can be very touchy girls..
Bending/training can control the height for ya, and will help them bush out if needed. Mine did it by themselves.

Thanks for the kind words. Its been a fun little garden for the hot summer. :)
