Looking For Some China Girls.

Well the big girl is in flower and the other five have snapped right back.

Hard to tell cause I didn't get the white balance set good on the cam but they now have green leaves lol.

Not sure what I'll do with them at this point, flower them or take clones and run them.

I'll vote for both... move those plants into flower in a week or two after taking clones... is what I'd do

So that's what I ended up doing, I got clones of all girls and stuck the seed plants in flower. Cuts rooted nice and quick, before my OG's for sure. It was between 7-10 days in straight coco.

I'll have to get some updated pics but they are doing great. They are 17 days into flowering at this point and range from 4-5 feet tall.

Here's a pic from about a week ago. Lots of good growth on them. So far they are the picture of health.

Got a few pics to drop as these have started to flower. I believe these were taken at around day 14.

These girls definitely had some stretch to them but I have a feeling they'll fill in nicely. The side shoots are elongating which is a good sign.

Guess time will tell...

Doing good. She never really bulked up any since that pic. She grew a bit and put out some more nuggage but the tops pretty much stopped growing on that one after week three or four.

Here are some pics from a couple days ago. I think these are day 50.

This next batch seem like they are going fine so far. I have a feeling they are going to stack much better than the first pheno I flowered.

This group are on day 28

This last pic is one I'm keeping my eye on for sure. Looking like a super stacker going on here. Must have got a bit of that Chernobyl influence. If she grows the way I think she's going to I should have a few donkey dicks.

This is my first run with them so I can't really say how they will finish out. The one that is on day 50 has developed from menthol/mint to now a more lime/mint odor.

I haven't really done a smell check on the four that are on day 28 so I can't say.

I'm hoping one of them does develop a nice tart lime-aid kinda thing but it remains to be seen.

I'll keep you posted in this thread though.

I like it, especially for something that looks done in 7 weeks!

sucks about the yield, but kinda reminds me of a cookie plant from the growth and bud structure and resin... mint smell... its like the real deal "fortune cookie" pheno... china girls, fortune cookies... lol...

how dense are those buds maybe they are heavy?

I wonder if the tops would react better to lower light... sort of like how all the GSC dudes found out the forum cut prefers lower light?

when you said that you smelled menthol and mint on your first china girl, I expected the mint to fade and turn into lime for a hashy menthol/trainwreck lime smell... so the fact that the menthol faded and left the lime with mint could be really good if it translates to flavor in a crisp type of way...

all my phenos had some sort of lime component... some were sweet/soapy lime others were doughy lime...

like pie crust and lime aid with vanilla custard and overpowering trainwreck funk... like the pheno below at about 4 weeks or so...

oh yeah.... this is from 3rd's garden so your gonna have to ask him before you light any of his china girls on fire... I'm sure you must pay to enter the parlor.

Buds on the first pheno are very dense, no give when squeezed. That's why I'm confident that even though there are no big colas to speak of I'll still pull multiple ounces.

There are a lot of them little nugs.

Also wondered what it would have looked like single cola style.

single cola minimal to no veg is how I am going to run them from here on out... unless I find a pheno that likes spread out

It seems like a lot of people have success with the sour bubble in SOG grows.

Third Coast the nugs might not be as big as some strains but they sure are pretty.
