1st Indoor Grow White Widow

i did nirvana's white widow a couple years back and thought it was a very very strong smoke, almost narcotic. couldn't get anything done on that stuff. some friends didn't even want to smoke it. however the yield was pretty bad.

they looked very similar to yours in growth pattern. how did the harvest work out for you md? you like the smoke?

I'm currently growing nirvana's white widow and i agree with the yield , it is not a big yielder

Harvest wasn't that great. I got a 5 pack of them and still have 2 left. The 2 I have going now actually are looking better at this stage than the one I did on my first grow. In particular, 1 out of these 2 I got going is looking really good. Well uniformed and smell's better to. Last grow I went from 24/0 to 12/12. This grow I went from 18/6 to 12/12 and there is a difference. The biggest difference is that they started flowering a lot sooner and faster than going from 24/0 to 12/12. The smoke wasn't bad but it could have been better. I made a few mistakes as a lot of newbies do that I think affected the outcome.

Hi MAD :)

Your grow is goin well , let me ask that how much was the yield?

i've never tried 18/6 before. was there a thread or something you read that pointed you in that direction?

18/6 would be considered old school compared to most everyone doing 24/0. It's actually the other way around smoke_tayo. There were threads that pointed me in the direction of 24/0. I already knew about 18/6. Although personally I didn't grow, back when I was a teen, 18/6 is what everyone I knew did. There was a thread on another site where a long time grower told me that when making the transition from 24/0 to 12/12, the plant would not flower quite as quick. And that going from 18/6 to 12/12, the transition to flower was a little quicker. For me that has been true. The 3 that I have going now are probably about 2 to 3 weeks ahead of where I was at this point last grow. You know, it's mostly preference. I'm more old school and prefer 18/6.

Thanks krc. You know I didn't weigh it all. But I would have to say about a half oz to an oz.

Hey MAD DAWG just read thru the thread. Some nice pics in there. Im on my first grow & doing white widow & dame blanche which is a similar strain but 75%indica25%sativa so should be a slightly more buzzy smoke. It'll be week 6 of flowering 2moro after a 5 week veg & their looking nice with loads of trichomes. I got some pics in my album if you wanna check em out. (cant figure out how to attach them). I started with 10 of each but 2 WW & 1 DB are well behind so gonna switch them back to 18/6 once harvest is over. Hoping for an Oz per plant (fingers crossed).

It dosent really matter if you 18/6 or 24/0. I do 18 cause its cheaper to not run the lights 24/7, and i shut off the lights during the hottest part of the day to keep em cool. I would suggest using a PK booster in your next run. Something like Kool Bloom or M.O.A.B. PK boost is super important during the flowering cycle. Using one will make your nugs bigger and harder! When you dry they wont shrink up so much and weight will stay. Most important you have to keep your PH in line. In FFOF 6 is safe and you prob wont get any lock-out problems. Just mu opinion homie, ive had the hobby for some years now and looking at your pictures reminds me of past learning grows. Wait a few years and look back at this I bet you'll laugh. Good luck and grow on bro!!

Looking great, they look nice and sticky too! :D Keep up the great work.
Hi Maddawg! Lovely sticky buds, but looks a little streeetched .This may be due to light fluctuation, and as far as yellowing complete leaves, that is part of the natural depletion of N during the flowering process, but I'm no expert on autos, and blueberry alone can sometimes need tweaking..Iwould suggest M deficiency(minimal)Epsom salts,1tsp per 5 litres, and a TINY drip of nitrozyme or super thrive. Also ,blueberry ,though a special smoke,is not a heavy producer,so if you can super crop autos, that might give you more bang for your buck.Hope you have a special day.Good luck dude.
