Its because you foliar fed them, I've had the exact same thing happen to me. I'm sure someone will disagree but you really shouldn't foliar feed when plants are in flower, those pistils are so delicate its very easy fro them to get burnt or go a bit mouldy (which looks to be the case here). Yea you might be able to get away with it but why risk it? KISS, there is no need to foliar feed 10's of 1000s of growers get great yields without doing it. Its just one more factor that can go wrong. Aim to have as few different factors as possible, each factor you introduce creates an possibility for a fuckup. I don't even know why you're bothering with tea, aptus and all that bollocks. Juts get a basic feed formula and stick to it, concentrate on getting your environment right and dialling, not fucking about with potions and powders which will make minimal difference to final yield.

Stop foliar feeding and I'm 95% certain you won't have this problem again

Loving the set up mate

:)

Contrary to alot of what people believe about growing marijuana, plants need to be regulaly sprayed and/or misted. Plants do and will feed off of nutrients supplied to their leaves with a nutrient solution mixture. Foliar feeding can give your plants a quick boost for a bigger, better, and overall higher yeilding harvest. Foliar spraying will not replace your regular program of root feeding, but this technique will supply valuable supplementary nutrients to plants quickly and efficiently
because of the very rapid absorption of plant nutrients through the leaves. ia stomata Foliar spraying applications of fertilizer will provide almost instantaneous results. The best time to foliar spray is early in the morning for outdoor growers, and as for myself i like to allow room to cool down from its 87 degrees c02 induced to around 70 - 73 so 3 hrs after lights out i will vent room with fresh outside air and foilage spray with water ( MAKE IT RAIN ) or if i see some minor def i will add some greens 1 -1 -1 perfect foilage mixture in
Also in flowering stage i will foilage every 3rd -4th day not drenching plants but giving them a good mist of water and yes even on the buds and starting week 4 - week 6 give them 0.002 zinc and 0.002 iron till final week with great results problem is proper air movement and running dehumidfiers are needed to control humidity
and this is what leads to bud rot not wet leafs but amount of humidity i think of it like sweating get that air moving all around and in plant and you won;t have no issues

Everything you say is true DrFever, but in IMO you should be able to provide everything your plants need through your normal feed. With the nutes available today I don't see a reason to supplement via foliar feeding unless there is a deficiency. I think it's different outdoors though, in my limited experience they seem to take and relish everything you can throw at them!

if you are going to spray in full flower mode go lightly on whatever additives you use, i can spray up to week six (outdoors) successfully using silica, potash, seaweed and stimuliser. clean soft water is also important, hard water i found can also brown off pistils...

otherwise it is looking good...

Keep it simple and stop foliar feeding after week 3 is complete. Then there no risk of icky shit
Just my 2 cents

Well it's about time for a update. Day 42 pics. 21 days to go!!!!

Between last night and this morning I have roughly 2.5 hours into defoliating these bitches!!! Now I see why you say Kush isn't great for SCROG's, just way too damn leafy!!! At week 4 I took about 1/3 of a garbage bag of leaf's off. Today I pulled a full garbage bag of leaf's from these girls and they still look pretty darn leafy to me!!! I figure when I get 1.5 weeks away from the finish line I will pull all of the remaining leaf's off except the ones that are in the buds.... What do you guys think?

My hands and arms were covered in some seriously sticky ass resin after defoilating!!! Washed my hands 5 times and still just as sticky!!! Had to wash my hands with brake clean and then rewash with GOJO and hands still smelt like these dirty bitches!!!

Couple days ago finally got a chance to transplant clones into 4" pots. Second time cloning and again 100% success getting roots!! Not sure why so many struggle with cloning? Been the simplest thing for me thus far!!! :tiphat:

Tip Top JOb MAte, that screen looks bloody beautiful, if mine looks 1/4 as good as that ill be happy:)

Congrats on ya cloning success its not real heard ay :)

Very informative thread, great job, LED!
I am very much concerned about efficiency and best utilization of available materials, so the new discovery of the Sunpentown DC fans was of exceptional value to me!

hi
great set up really nice and tidy but I think your maybe worrying too much and adding too many nutrients? if your EC is running out higher your feed is too strong, lower it way down so it runs out the same or lower.
also switching from 3 feeds to 6 will also have helped raise your run off ec. (less feeds per day means a higher ec, where as multiple feeds will normaly be a lower ec)
also when you foliar feed the plant absorbs less through the roots so again this probably added to your high ec run off, I personally wouldn't spray anything after 2 weeks in flower, and also it I think It best to leave a week or 2 between foliar feeds?
less is more! and maybe have a bit more patients!
but yea looks great and good luck!

BTDT! Wear gloves man! Like the others said, oil will take it off no problem. I just don't keep olive/canola around my spot, and I don't want to stink like fresh herb when I get home, so I glove up.

Screen looks beautiful!!
