That is the grandfathering language I assume. Even if patient new is not grandfathered in they can still grow under the "if there is not a dispensary" in your county exemption.

Let's get the Clark and Washoe scam-a-thon going already. And let's get some counties banning the bastards. Then lets get patients suing counties and the state!

I want this whole law to cost the counties and state a shit ton of money. They deserve to suffer for trying to fleece cannabis patients.

there has to be something way sinister behind all this, it just don't add up . anyone can do the math and see they cant make money . just not enough patients here to do it, plus the price they will charge is out of site, and the cost to do and D is ridiculous.

It's only $250,000.00 you have to prove you have in cash. They priced it at this number so the middle class can get in on it. Whoever runs against Sen Hutchison his next cycle should take that quote of his and use it to demonstrate just how out of touch he is with his constituents.

that's 250000 plus 250000 more for the growers lic, 500000.00 right ? no problem, I think I have that in my change jar. I guess we sure as hell aint middle class.

4000 patients, 60 possible disps so diluted 66.6 patients per disp. $500K to start up and if my competition sells to a med patient I can't get that customer till next month. and I can only legally sell 5oz per month to a patient (source needed).

5oz per patient 66.6 patients is 333.3 oz a month or appx 21lbs of dank. If I pay $250K to be a grow op, not going to be too happy with a 21lb a month limit on my customer base...

Josey Whales you hit the nail on the head. There is NO money in this for any disp, unless they have a huge chunk of Washoe or Clark, AND they can maintain that huge market share against other hungry start ups in those big counties. Can't imagine anyone investing $250k to open a store front, where they have to buy only from the states $250k clowns, and then they try to sell to a client base that has years of practice buying or growing much better cannabis at much lower prices.

Math doesn't matter in Nevada ;)

Now that patients will have access to shops, does anyone see a rise in MMJ cards issued in the near future?

A little maybe but I don't see the patuent count doubling soon. There is a provision in the bill about creating a list of doctors who do recs anf if they think you wrote too many they will dicipline you as they see fit. So I don't see it being like in cali where they have a little booth on the corner handing out recs like porn fliers.

Gillespi was on the radio today and he was askes why did he put the no home grow amendment in the bill. His answer "we don't want home grows. There has been a huge problemn of grow houses. "
Caller " there has been a hige problem with legal med grows?"
Gilespi "yes they have been growing too much."

Guess he declined to say that patients have been selling their meds. Just growing to much. Always tying in the "grow houses" with med grows. What a dick.

so to fix the problem of growers selling there product our government is going to regulate and tax it so they get the money instead of the out of work American grower. makes perfect sense now.

The police are happy!! Besides, they get funding for monitoring the program. Only in Nevada!!

Funding.......so does that mean there gonna use the drones with IR? Or use the money for neighborhood IR scanning with hand held IR cams. A very possible future for Nevada, only a matter of time. Can't have dem patients havin access to cheap meds, oh no sir.

One thing I have noticed in reading this bill . in the begining it describes what tjis bill sets out to do.
It specifically spellnoit to make it a cat e felony to cultivate more than 12 plants. Before rhis from what I understand there was no real law against cultivation just general manufacture of a controlled substance. I read it somewhere hydrosun prolly knows this better. Like a back door way to go xtra heavy on both outlaw growers and over limit patients.

Would seem that way. You know they did leave the affirmative defense section of 453a in effect.
