this is fucking brilliant. I'm upgrading my 12/12 room and after doing my head in reading so much about leds decided to go for 4 x 1000w air cooled. Good job I hadn't bought them yet coz this has me all worked up about the leds again.
So, 4 x 900w over 4 square meters? Too much/not enough?
also, are people buying these from the one seller on ebay?

I think the seller on ebay is the only one with this type? Thats where I ordered mine mate. I have also taken the plunge into LED as the summer heats this year have been unbearable.

Dank Demon promise you youll never look back. A hid has only 30% of its lumen available to the plant as the other 70% are the wrong spectrum and cant be seen. I've used hid's for years and always had good results but after buying my first led light new it was the way forward. The only negative if you can call it that is during cooler months they dont warm the room up so you need additional heating.

If I'm going to do it it I'll be close behind dank. Room should be finished in a couple of weeks then I need to get the new lights in.
heats always an issue in summer but in my place fan noise is too. with leds i wont need a second fan for aircooled hoods.
what area are you gonna put that 1200 over?

I normally use one light over about 1.25m square. The first light on left is a 600w the one on right is 900w. Never used a 1200W but would keep it to within 1.5m square.

Yield is a tricky one couldnt say for definite what the exact increase in yield is. But each time i replaced a hid with an led the yield has gone up plus the colas are noticeably bigger defo healthier from start to finish.
dirkdiggla you gunna make this a grow diary then from now till bud shots?
really wanna see a led grow to the finish theres not many great grows out there with led and that chemmy jones looked good to me so would be nice to see the journey till the end

Hey Harry my 3 1200s wil be over a 7' long by 2' wide SOG with 9 clones under each light about 2' square in a staggered formation, using a halo spray ring around the bottom of each 3 inch net pot x 28 in total and under that is flowing water like an undercurrent system.

hey dirk nice looking pics,so how many grows have you completed with just led lights please?
also any rough idea of gpw you were getting, also if it goes wrong do you have to send it back to china to be fixed at your cost? those plants you were growing under the 600 hps looked super too,i will be converted if you get anywhere near the size of buds under those led's as you did with your 600 hps .i will bake a cannabis cake (hat shaped) and eat it.
