I saw a couple of your Sour Orange pictures in Dr.Pentothals Orange thread, and they looked like resin bombs.
I would love to see more.

It just shows the quality of some of the smaller hobbyists seeds, some of the best i have ever seen.
And i can only imagine the smells, orangey sour noseburning chemical funk?

Yeah blue green, sour orange sums it up. No funk or skunk or spice on this pheno, just sour orange candy. Kinda sickly sweet tasting.

So all 13 BK2's ended up germinating the last one has been corkscrewing itself back into the soil. It seems like it is headed in the right direction now but we'll see.

It's a been a slow start here. I've been busy as hell working on my new rooms and shit that wasn't automated kinda suffered a bit. Things are slowing down now so I can focus a bit more on the plants.

Got 12 up, #13 was runty so it's been culled. Got them in straight coco under an eight bulb T5 and due to being so busy they have been receiving full strength food. Everybody's been getting the same nutes whether they like it or not. Just haven't had time to tailor to their needs.

I topped these a day after this pic and was surprised to see they are already showing preflowers. Haven't sexed any yet though.

Oh yeah the other 2 are in another tray.

No real great progress to report just a nod to Karma, let him know we still at it.

Hey there SmokinErb. I saw your thread over at the other site, I'll be checking it out for sure.

Well I had a sexing session and found 6 confirmed males and no confirmed females. It appears the males are quick out of the gate.

Last test I did for KG I got 8 females out of 12 seeds(BHOG). Maybe the law of averages is going to catch up to me on this round.

Oh well, still six to go, I'm sure I will get some ladies.

Question for Karma. On the plants in question did the male flowers show up after introduction to 12/12 or before?

Reason I ask is after culling 6 "males" I have one now that has a male flower at the internode where it was topped(like the 6 I killed)but the upper growth now seems like it is going to show female.

I have a feeling I may have screwed this test if this is what we were looking for.

I thought I'd be looking for females that showed a male flower after 12/12, not a female that showed male first. I've never had a plant show male pre-flowers and then turn out to be female.

Either way, I have five unsexed still and will proceed with the grow.

Was just thinking, if I put mine through a early sexing session to get rid of the males early, is this going to screw up what Karma is looking for? I'm expecting them to show well into 12/12 with a few nanners down low to pluck, hopefully to never return.

But, if they show in veg... early sexing isn't going to help at all.

Well I'm even more confused now. The "male" flower that I had saw has now withered away to nothing leaving me scratching my head.

I swear to god it looked just like a male flower but then right next to it started growing a miniature leaf, then they both shriveled up and died.

Now all I got are female flowers. I'll keep an eye on that one for sure.

In this test, you cant be scared to fast, and take à cut So you can run them again.

Wait with killing till real small buds , ore clear male flowers are there.

No problem Karma. After a rough start the BK2's are finally healthy and happy. A little leggy but no big deal. Time to get a transplant done soon into a bigger pot. I'll get some pics up soon.

And then there were four.

So I got three females to put in flower and one very stout stocky male that I can't bring myself to cull. He is not like the other leggy, viney plants, well he is, he's just short and compact.

Got three nice females that have been moved to bigger pots. I culled one more male and two unknowns that were runty and just not getting with the program.

Ladies will go into flower soon.

Update time for the Bikers. Have three ladies going to flower in about two weeks. They will first get a bigger pot.

These are honestly the most difficult strain I have grown to date. Having a real hard time figuring out what they like.

They are also difficult to sex. The female calyx don't seem to open in preflower so I still haven't seen any pistils after months of growing. The preflowers are there just not open. I've never experienced this before.

All in all, Not a strain for beginners I'd say. Okay, now that I got that off my chest, some pics.

#1 no problems to speak of with this girl. Have been giving cal mag plus extra Mg in the form of epsom salt to all the Bikers.

#2 not sure what is with this girl. She is just not happy, looks like Mg def to me so hopefully with the extra epsom she'll come around. Strange spotting, a bit stunted and vein chlorosis going on.

#3 seems to doing good as well. Mg hog as well.

The leaves on this one(and #1) look much better than #2.

Seems to be growing with vigor.

Hopefully they do good in flower. I'm kind of nervous to be honest. I've been trying to feed at the same levels as my cut of True OG which is doing great as seen here.

I'll get these potted up in the next day or two and cross my fingers.

P.S. Karma, you got any suggestions on keeping these ladies happy?

none of mine have shown sex either. thinkin I might keep a male if I find one. havent decided.

Well I got good news and I got bad news.

Good news is all three clones are rooted.

Bad news is the three girls missed the bus to flower town and I couldn't have them getting any bigger so they got buzzed a bit and we will wait for another couple week and hope the timing works out.
