Got a new portable vape today; The Da Vinci

Looks pretty solid, I don't know much about the subject but I didn't think a lot of the portables did oil and bud?
Was also curious about what ppl meant by tincture 'recipe'? Are there different ways to make it, don't really know anything about it. I didn't think generic e-cigs worked too well for oil and/or bud? sorry for the n00b questions!

i am still learning about the tinctures and hash oil, but i understand how its done.

this da vinci will do either hash oil or a tincture i believe, dripped into the oil canister which has a cotton filling.

i also have a vape pen in route, that with the right cartridge and .5 gram of hash oil, you can get 200-400 hits from. if your lucky enough to live in a med state you can buy some of this stuff, i'll have to make my own. no problem, i will enjoy every minute of it

i even plan on making some flavored tinctures. vanilla, caramel and a caramel/vanilla mix. this will mask any hash or cannabis smell so that i can use the vape pen or the da vinci in public

no problem, but i chose the da vinci for the temp control and stealth look.

the solo is also bigger than the da vinci.

with that said i may buy a solo in the future as i have heard only good things about them.

so i ordered the extra accessory pak and the snorkel.

i also have moved away from vaping with the canister. you can just get bigger hits and it holds more without the canister. so for dry herb, i will just end up cleaning more. it's okay, better hits.

anyway, got this pic from fuckcombustion, it's not mine. but i DO NEED a bubbler now

If I don't use the can I keep the bud whole easier to clean. When drawing on the can I make sure to draw hard pulls the hot air in, true a bit much but still good.

just got it today! haven't had a chance to fire it up yet...I guess fire it up isn't the right words for a vape...

I got a question for ya...when you received yours was the box wrapped in plastic like you see in just about every other 'new' item that you purchase? mine was just the box, no plastic wrapping. makes me wonder if the place is selling 'seconds' or repaired items. I bought mine off Ebay like you, the store had close to 2000 sales, alot more than some others who were selling these.

i got a vaporzone e-cig today. trying some 0 nicotine e-liquid to see how it vapes. not bad, not bad at all.

gotta harvest so i can make a a tincture to try in the vape pen and the da vinci !!!

Hey GP73, how do I tell when the vape has a full charge? The directions say it takes 3 hours to fully charge it, but is there an indicator anywhere on the vape that lights up when it is fully charged? I've had mine plugged in for more than 3 hours and that little tiny charge icon still is moving like it is charging.

if the icon is still moving it's still charging. i vaped after a 3 hour charge(mine was moving too), but while it was still hooked up and charging.

Just vaped on the Da Vinci for the first time. It works excellent. It delivered good exhale vapor the three times I hit it. Taste was excellent, all bud and no plastic smell/flavor at all. I didn't have to struggle at all on the inhale, very easy to smoke.

I only have had one other vaporizer experience...I think it's called the "purple daze" or something like that. My feelings on the purple daze when I bought it were quite positive, but I had nothing to compare it to. Now, after smoking the Da Vinci I realize that the PD was a bit of a struggle...at least compared to the DV. Might also have to do with how tight I packed the bowl, I think I may have packed the DV less densely which would account for the difference in draw.

Anyfuckinways...hehe..I took 3 hits, the DV works beautifully, and I only had it turned on for about 3 minutes so it has lots of time left before recharge. Last night before I vaped any bud I ran the DV through the paces to see what one charge gives me. If you turn the DV on ready to vape....it takes about 2 min for the vape to reach the preset 375 degrees, and then I didn't touch it, it turns itself off after about 10 minutes. When it's on, it is constantly maintaining the heat at the right temp. I got about 4 or 5 of those 10 minute sessions (actually 12 minutes each). Not sure if it was completely charged before the first evening pace run though. I think it only had 3 lines on the battery, not the 4 that indicates a full charge. The manual says it fully charges in 3 hours, not sure that is true because I charged mine for more than 3 hours last night and it was only on 3 lines not four.

At Fuck Combustion, the thread for this vape has a lot of comments about a strong plastic smell/flavor when first operating the DV. I think the first session I did where I didn't vape anything probably got rid of the plastic smell problem. My bud tasted fantastic...so much more pure flavor without combustion. Thumbs up!

Bottom line...I'm frickin happy!

if i remember mine did have a slight plastic flavor at first, but that quickly went away and the taste of vaped bud is FANTASTIC !!!

in my oil can for the da vinci this afternoon. worked fairly well. i was using a flavored tincture and would really like to try a non-flavored, thicker tincture and i will soon



but it worked well. it also seemed to vape the best when i put the temps between 385 and 390. got probably 10 or so really thick vapor hits before the clouds dropped off. i know i can go back and hit it in the AM and get fucked again

anyway, look forward to future concentrates in this unit
