well f2 is my plan if my beans germ i have 11 oringinal jhonnys got a pack before they sold out ,

fingers crossed for a decent male and female or even a few of each

I see, so you're in the same boat as me. I thought you had already made the f2's. That's prob. about when I purchased my beans also. All I can say is, if they don't pop rite away don't give up on them.

i have a pack,, was going to pop some just the other day but i don't have the time to wait on another nevs haze cross,, but nevs and djs blueberry both independently considered two of the best highs around..

have some killer F2's made by a former member here..he gifted me a nice amount..he used the used a very Nevilles Haze leaning pheno to F2 them...the parents were total foxtailers..

Wow is that alive fox, I'm a city boy don't see them.
It looks like both of you got more of the haze side than I did on my first pheno.

Well, I got some bad news. That little sprout that I manually cracked out of the shell didn't survive. SO now I'm down to only two besides the female I already got.
I've got some SLH coming out tonight, so I'm going to put the one in. I'll try and get some new pics too.

Ok time to get ready for some cookouts. Hope everyone has a good holiday weekend.

Here's the baby JB3 with some nice roots. Up potting to airpot.

I've been using Regen a root from CX Hydroponics, and I have to say that I can see a very noticeable difference.

Look at this stem, just like the JB2 it's just so wide.

My first time growing that I was glad to have a male.
Turned out I was right about JB2. That was the one I thought might be my stud. Here he is.

With good news sometimes comes bad.When I went in for some pics I saw a stem of my JB1 bent onto the floor.

She's at 59days of flower.

You might see a few nanners, but that's another assache I'm dealing with.(light leak, I think i fixed)

Collecting some pollen

So I moved the JB2 male out of the flowering room a few days ago. I plan on keeping it on the 12/12 schedule by some shop lights in another area.
This will only be my second time collecting pollen, so feel free to scold me if I'm doing anything wrong. A few days have passed and a few sacks are opening. So first I cut a bunch of foil squares

then I held the foil under some of the sacks that were dropping some gold.

I did this with a couple squares, but there are only some ready. I will collect more in the next few days.

I'm going to the fold up the foil packs and freeze some until I have females ready. Just in case I screw things up I took a clone of the male.

awesome man , save many many packs as ya can , it lasts years , i know someone with pollen like 7 years old thats still good. not sure if ya have to dry it a few days or not but the freezer is the plkace to store i think. for some reason i think if ya freeze it wet it might explode some and wont be as viable, good luck !

Like Bag said, dry it out first before freezing it.

I put pollen in foil packets like you are, and then i stick them in a small ziplock with some Damprid (dessicant) for a couple days to suck the moisture out of the pollen. Then I vac pack it in small wide-mouth half-pint jars that I store in the freezer. Pollen will last for many years with that method.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll be sure to dry it out before I freeze it. I was also reading up on the sticky for storing and collecting. I think it said you could also put it in the fridge for a few days before the freezer. I'm gonna try and grab some dessicants today.

a little handful of rice will do the job more gently and just as quick

and you can throw it on a wedding when your finished )

F2 and beyond should be fun to explore if you have the room. An accidental pollination gave me a greatly improved THC SAGExJB that is still a keeper after 4-5 years along with lovely JB mom from my second run of the seeds.
