Wow! That's a crazy THC/CBD ratio, I'm very interested to see how you like the effects and if high CBD strains live up to their apparent medicinal value.

1:1 is the new thing for medical use. A human clinical trial is currently recruiting patients who suffer from IBD (my disease) notably Chron's. It's in Israel. The patients not in the placebo group will receive 10mg of THC and 50mg of CBD each day. The 5:1 ratio should completely nullify the high, but still provide the appropriate dose of cannabinoids to register medicinal effects.

Im very excited to try it :)

Yeh, I would be too!

My partner has been questioning why she smokes lately, which puts me in a bit of a position to have to think about it too. I told her I love smoking for winding down after work, thinking outside the box, back pain, IBS and anxiety in the mornings.

We both then had a laugh because I'm always chasing the sativa strains....Only thing that helps me with is the "thinking outside the box" and actually makes insomnia etc far worse for us!

Think we have finally hit the age were "getting high" isn't number one priority.....It's still up there though!! :bongsmi:

@Brennye Do you guys smoke all day? Getting high is not something I particularly enjoy all the time. Evenings after work I will vaporize two small bowls immediately (in the Solo) and then before bed two bowls of an indica to help me to bed. Otherwise, I don't like feeling high all the time, I usually feel less motivated.

The Kali high has changed passed the 3 weeks cure - it has mellow'd out. I have a few very fat branches left in the tent which I think I will harvest today. No amber trich at all yet, but that's the point isn't it? ;)

Almost done with the harvest guys! Harvested 300g worth of wet buds this morning and I have one batch of equal size left to do, I'm giving them another week.

In spite of the light leak, I've got some very nice heads. Two or three were the size of a human hand.

I predict a final dry weight of 373.4g or 13.2oz ;) We'll know in about two weeks. I'll be well over the 0.5g/watt for sure, so that's a victory on its own for me :D

That's a very impressive result, particularly given the fact that that wattage with movers could cover a considerably larger area / more plants. Doing your research and getting things right the first time (as far as possible) pays off.

I have a final official dry weight.

472.38g
16.66oz
1.04lb

This a yield of 0.738g/watt, which is above the minimum target I had set myself (0.5g/watt) but below my "ultimate" target of 1g/watt. Which leaves room for improvement on my next grow.

Summary report

First branch was chopped at day 70 of bloom, but could have been harvested as early as day 65 according to the trichomes profile when I reviewed my journal and photos.
The last branch was chopped at day 98 of bloom, but since this plant was affected by a light leak, it shouldn't be used as an reliable indication for this strain

Issues encountered that may have affected yield:
1. A light leak encountered a few weeks into bloom delayed harvest on a plant significantly and caused visible stress in the form of multiple, large single-bladed leaves appearing all along the stems.
2. A severe nute burn occured during a 2 day period mid-way in bloom when PPM shot up to 1230PPM due to lack of supervision
3. A lack of plants vs available resources. I could have easily stuck 4 plants in this tent, which would have sped vegging by a lot and would have made better use of the screen

I hope you enjoyed the journal, I know I enjoyed writing it and sharing the experience with you. I'm extremely happy with the results, and I am thankful for all the help I received.

This is a good first harvest, I hope it presages a good cultivating career :) CBD Yummy, here I come!

Amazing job man....A pound of Kali Mist!

Could I bother you for one of your beautiful photos of your favorite looking bud?

Also, are you still enjoying the sativa high?

My friend just gave me some of his Kali Mist (same pheno I'm growing) for the first time in a while, I forgot how much I loved it! Looks terrible though, really airy and small buds. Which is why I'm interested to see your dry buds ;)

Sure!

I've got a few bigger buds in another jar but for storage purposes I already trimmed down the buds quite a bit.

Also, are you still enjoying the sativa high?

Post cure the high is entirely different, much more relaxing. I might have harvested too late if I wanted to preserve the energetic high. Next time I'll try to harvest at 65 days.

Well, compared to say my Quebec M39 which produce intensely dense buds, my KM is indeed airy. In fact it's about the same as that critical mass ounce I had two months ago.
