Mycorrhizal fungi, where do you get it?

Roots Organic (aka Aqua Serene aka Aurora) sources their product from Mycorrhizal Applications out of Grants Pass, Oregon like the product Kcar posted from D-T-E

hey Clackamas, I actually know a dude that used to manage the filler(compost) pile at Mycorrhizal Applications
he's been trying to talk me into starting a Mycorrhizal Biz going.
This dude is about 70yo and he is cool and he knows some shit too, his profession is permaculture designer , he told me if I got an airstream camper (his favorite fungi grow lab) he could grow me any kind of mushroom I wanted ...and good too. I'm not that into it yet, though it is interesting stuff....maybe someday?

You welcome CT :) I just got back form the AG store with 5 pounds of Bahia seeds, good compost and verm! And I got Trich free AM fungi from the grow store :) My T-5 is ready to go! Maybe I will post some pics once I see infection of the roots...

All the best

I for one would NEVER use Roots Organics AM fungi due to the 25% yucca! That's crazy...and bad.

NP.

So you then mean ecto don't 'work' with cannabis? Where did you read that? I am curious as I have not looked into cannabis and ectos'.

Thanks!

From talking with MM on the phone yesterday....We were discussing the merits of cultivating and offering the live AM at some point in the future. I need to do more research in general on AM and read through the studies you've posted. Thanks for doing a lot of the research on here, it's greatly appreciated.

Huh?

I don't understand what you mean. Molasses doesn't kill AM fungi, unless you mean by level of P but I doubt there is enough P to hinder AM fungi. What about oat bran? I think you are confusing matters, AM fungi don't feed like regular fungi.

To explain what I mean. Although species of fungi which can be ectomycorrhizal with other plants/trees but are not obligate (if that makes sense) may be beneficial to cannabis but are not mycorrhizal with it. That is as far as I know so far. Always bear in mind we are still learning.

Is it worthwhile to innoculate with mycorrizhal applications products during seedling stage or are live cultures started from grass seed the only guaranteed success?

The short answer is yes. There's a better myco thread floating around that I started with some good info from MM.

For cannabis, you want glomus intraradices. The cheapest version I've found on the market is Mykos from RTI. Can't say I'm a fan of their sales staff, but assuming their label is correct it's the most affordable option that's readily available in the States that I've found.

I hope this is okay. If not please remove.

Yea the spore count in myke pro is impressive MM. However, when tested in the field it didnt compare to this product. There were many, many brands tested. This myco is produced independently. Not a big conglomerate. Ill support the little guy anyday!

Lets see the test results.
