Ba-dump-BUMP! These girls gettin ready to go outside Phillthy? Sure would love to seems em do there thing outside under the sun and in all their glory! Updates?
Hey Dr. P! Phillthy and I have gossiped a bit about these in PM -lol -
Phillthy - looking at your last picture...I see a black sleeve...on the bottom left...plant 1 in the bottom left corner...then go right, plant 2, now go up one. So, second plant on the right from the bottom..
THAT plant - is it the only one with the sharper / more jagged serrations? Either way - that plant catches my eye - would you be so kind to make a note on that one and help me follow her (if a her) as she goes to flower! I'll throw a prediction out and bet she has a more durban high / taste to her...
Looking forward to these - these 12-14wk plants Dr. P?
Dr.P .... Which Durban did you use? Clone? Pack of beans from a seed co or straight outta jo-berg?
And what was your deciding factor(s) as to which males made the cut?
I bet these would do nice outdoors .... My durbans had zero mold and finished late September during the rainiest grow season I've seen in the NE for a few years.
Whatcha veggin' these under Phillthy? They seem to have stayed pretty squat w/ some fatty leaves up until this point. Usually the Durban likes to take over, but seems you'll have a few nice ECSD leaners in the bunch. Looking forward to see what they look like at the flip!
@dank.frank: Don't let me find out that you're talking behind my beans back man! -lol- Glad to have so many respected ICmag'ers checking out Poison Genetics! As far as flower time on these, you can actually expect them to be done under 10 wks. Doc's Durban, while appearing to be an almost "pure" sativa in appearance and effect, actually finishes pretty dam quick! The fast flower time, vigor, and disease/pest resistance is what has made Durban Poison such a popular outdoor plant over the years. She's perfect for the sativa lover who want something that grows big, stands up to mold/pests, produces an uplifting and energetic sativa buzz, and fully matures outdoors before the frost. The ECSD was selected to add some flavor, a bit of body to the stone, and beef up yields.
Please allow Phillthy to show off the end results...
@DJXXP: Glad to have Phillthy running these for everyone to see! Hope he finds a keeper for sure! Keep it Killer!
@Gemini G: Doc's Durban male was selected out of seeds that I was lucky enough to obtain thru a close friend of an "old timer" who had focused many years of growing/breeding specifically on the great sativas of the past. I was able to sample a few of his outdoor treats and was completely blown away by his Durban and SSSC Durban Thai High Flyer! He was kind enough to gift my buddy a few seeds that he had described as "Old School pre-hybridized" Durban Poison. Unfortunately, we were only able to sprout a few males from which I selected Doc's Durban #1 and #2 for the most sativa structure and appearance. We have no further contact w/ this old timer, so I am forced to use these males and work backwards to try and lock this classic strain back into seed form. Recently put out the SOur DURBANs, which will most likely be used as the gene pool to select for a stand out female to work into the Doc's Durban BX. And yes, the Durban Poison is an excellent choice for the great outdoors! Thanks for the support!
nice grabbin a seat for this one! i was hoping to get some of rez's poison diesel beans a couple years ago but they never dropped. cant wait to see ya kill em phil.
