This is a tough one for those music fans out there. I don't care who you are but, Marley, was, freakin huge. This guy took rock steady and island sounds and helped birth out the reggae groove which we all love. He is the man. The rastafari from dem blue hills, where de Rasta cut your head off man. The king of live reggae taken from us much too soon. Not many people have even dared cover Marley. I can't even think of anybody but one.

The one is good, they call him slow hand.

He is Clapton.

Is there anybody else who ever covered Marley well?

was alot about the heart and soul with bob surely and not many men have enough of both to speak the same words as passionately and with such a deep meaning (understanding) as he did,, just my :2cents:

LOL WTF? Rastas cutting heads off?
Most reggae artists cover Bob Marley.
Sublime songs have a lot of bits and pieces of Marley.
Zimbabwe, Real Situation and all the acoustic stuff came out great. Trenchtown is also amazing.
Marley's sons do some pretty good covers, too.
Check out Natural Mystic by Alborosie with Ky-Mani Marley.
Stephen Marley does some great shit. Someone To Love has a Bob Marley sample from Send Me That Love. So sick!
UB40 does a really good Soul Rebel.

lol

I used to work as only whiteman with a Jamaican crew at an Apple Orchard. The guys used to joke with me all the time, that the Rastas in the blue mountains are MEAN MAN, that they CUT YOUR HEAD OFF MAN. This was in response to them telling me to come visit them, even though they kept joking that all I wanted to do was go see Bob Marley.

Sorry for confusion, but its Jamaican Lore, from the source.

The same guys used to tell me... "Marley was good for sure. The second best. But in Jamaica in the 60s and 70s Jacob Miller was the king reggae artist"
