Hi guys. I decided I am going to make a thread to document my breeding projects as I work my lines.

I plan to update this thread periodically and share with everyone for advice. These are just my personal projects, I don't own a seed company and am just getting into the science behind breeding. I welcome anyones advice or comments!

Here is a break down of what I have done so far in the last year...

Killer Queen Redux

I have f2 seed stock I made also these hybrids:

KQR male x Ice Cream

Blue Satellite 2.2

I have f3 stock i made and also these hybrids:

Blue Satellite 2.2 male x Ice Cream

Blue Satellite 2.2 male x Killer queen Redux Female

This is the other seed stock in my inventory:

Casey Jones f3 (Loudogs)

Casey Jones x sour bubble IX1 (Loudogs)

Sour Bubble

Deathbubble (courtesy PK)

Sam the skunk mans original haze x skunk #1

I am focusing on my hybrids I made right now and have a few going for the first time. I'll update soon about those.
This is a thread I hope to share my failures and success (hopefully) in.!

First up my Blue satellite 2.2 f3's and my Blue satellite x Ice cream...

Blue Sattellite 2.2 male x Ice Cream female

Blue Sattellite 2.2 male x Ice Cream female

Here is the Ice Cream plan.

1. Cross my Ice Cream mother to a Blue Satellite 2.2 male to make f1's. - DONE.

2. Blind small test run. - IN PROGRESS
A. make a blind f2 line using 2 most similar phenos- IN PROGRESS.

3. Large mother hunt through F1's FUTURE
A. Clone selected mothers for selfing genotype testing.
B. Self selected mothers

4. Run a row of progeny from each mom with 1 clone of the mother at the head of the row for comparison. FUTURE
A. Run a row of blind selected f2's for comparison.
B. Determine the mother with most similar offspring.

5. Run a room of the winning mother from Step 4 and select another round of mother selections for self genotype testing. FUTURE

6. LETS SEE IF WE CAN GET THIS FAR BEFORE GOING FURTHER.

Open for discussions on weather you'd like to see the line go toward the indica or sativa side so feel free to chime in on all things Ice Cream! This will be the initial general framework, open for discussion on traits to be selected for etc!

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Thanks s2, I plant to attempt to do something about the Ice Creams variability. Since it was an s1 it already has been started down the inbreeding line a bit. My mother cut is the hand grenade pheno that blows up giant nugs bigger than your hand! The Blue satellite was also surprisingly uniform and you can see that come out a bit more in the f3s I made, it presents wonderful trich coverage. Hopefully I can do something nice here, the end goal is a more stable Ice Cream line.

I plant to continue working down the Blue Sat line I have to hopefully make it more homogeneous than it already is and select my males from this line mainly for outcrossing.

One of the next things I am planning on doing is looking for a Sour Bub mom to use in a cross with a male from my blue f3s. OR vice versa possibly. They are my most inbred stock from separate gene pools atm. :)

I really enjoyed this plant, my mother is a very indica presentation of the line and produces super dense rock hard nugs with a super pineapple smell, a 2x or less stretch but with vigorous veg growth, She is a bell ringer, I have however seen frostier presentations of KQR, I am hoping to get her frost up and select toward that very indica side that Res championed when he chose his c99 mom for the KQR project. Gonna pop some of those for the next run!

@ Subrob, thanks for the words! I frickin wondered about that for ages... :tiphat:

It would be nice to see someone focus on the science of breeding. Some peeps get confused about what f2s etc are. Likewise, some are not really sure what it takes to get to the IBL stage too.
Anyway, I find working some seed lines is a lot of fun.

This will be a really slow paced thread due to the nature of its content but some gems should pop up from time to time!

There will surely be some science talk in here, im no expert but learning as I go.

Just threw some ICx Blue Satellite in to flower and some Blue satellite f3's as well. We'll have something to look at in a few weeks. Just having a peek while I finish of some other stuff, next round I'll take a bigger look. Excited to be growing my own cross for the first time!

Hi TonyGreen. I think the SB x BS2.2 will be a hash bomb.
I found an excellent sour bubble and a couple more not as good, from a pack.
