watch out for the budlight cans!

i remembering the era when these were made, about when i first started following your threads....remember the tied up mushroom head plants? you're certainly one of the growers most willing to experiment...i still have a pair of taped up stem crushing pliers!

Ran for 2 hrs...going off trail (at times) to do hill work...get those straight up the guts climbs in...rather than following side sloping trail switchbacks..nice to just drive the legs up..animal trails...avoiding all the brush and wash outs...slipping around Yucca so as not to be speared...avoiding snakes and cacti..steep drops...those off trail hills fry the legs...burn the lungs dry..knock me into orbit...fun bombing down them

but yeah...when on the trail...I ran into probably 20 peeps. Had to direct a backpacking family down the to the trailhead..and dodge a few bombing mountain bikers...but still was able to do my thing

Looking forward to the Mox Mox harvest...man...been a while since I've had some heavy DD laden nuggets to enjoy. I've come a long way..then I think...not really. Keeping it basic...swinging for the fence with every run

3 more weeks

3 more weeks

Have had temps down in the low 30's the last 3 nights...frost you know...that's why I never feel good about..grounding non frost tolerant plants into their summer holes...until mid June

So looking at the hot house...though I've given away some plants...you can see..it's starting to crowd. I've hedged up the tomato plants 2X now..lollipop(ing) them up...close quarter pruning..

7 gal smart pots of basil (couple variety)....1 gal smart pots full of pumpkin, squash, cucumber, and melon...seeing if the smart pots will keep them happy...as they don't dig being root bound...so detrimental for such plants...also have a 3 gal smart pot of parsley

Can I keep this afloat for 3 more weeks? That's the game. Keeping these plants in such small containers..I've allowed them to root down into the earth and coco...the coco recycled here to hold moisture around the pots...as it works: plants are sitting in a bed of coco fluff..their roots matting down under the pots..

actually flood the entire base..keeps the RH up..and provides moisture to exposed roots...however...

...I top water with blended molasses (worm castings some days), silica, epsom salt, and RO water...trying to keep the pH around 6.5...a time consuming pain in the ass...and at least 8 gals of water a day..but as I'm concerned for...the length of time all these tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers are staying in such confined pots...don't feel I can just water off the tap

* This 6' x 8' x 6'6"(though I've modified it to be over 6'6" tall by lagging into the railroad ties..ties needed to keep the thing grounded..buys me 8" more height) hot house....would be great to leave up in the summer...just to go in and sweat/stretch...awesome actually

I'll take the cover off in mid June...then plant some tomatoes within the frame...and use the frame as support for them as they grow. If I can keep them trained within the frame (maybe) I'll be able to cover them come fall...extending the season. We'll see how it plays out..cool though...that the cover comes off easy...and the frame need not come down

what usda zone are you in? aside from the lack of rain and the upcoming blistering heat most everything is coming along well,on my second crop of broccoli already,i can see i will have time to reseed lots of stuff, letting a dill and basil plant go to seed already, about to transplant the out of control mint plants to a planter box to hopefully keep them under control a little bit...i dont really use much mint but have 6 varieties going....smells nice....

Probably one of the 8s...but I could argue..a more defined micro climate...those are tough to zone. I've talked to several gardeners here...and it's pretty much an overall summary..the zone changes depending on aspect and slight elevation differences

With a hot house...it's not such a big deal...and in fact...the way to run. Gotta go into June at full speed..out of the hot house into the ground...no misses..time it right...push this thing through the summer strip. Summer Season is all about getting off the line quick and straight...launch the beast true

Back to the garage

* on the mints...yeah man...I have big patches of spearmint and peppermint...that stuff grows aggressively..transplants with a blink

huh,im in 8a and i started planting in ground in february.probably a bit early but on the other hand the landscaping plants that have been in the longest are handling the heat the best.(duh) still at only 2% loss as far as nursery plants, lost one tomato plant to 40 mph winds and a couple of cabbages to cutworms..

i noticed i notched over another 1000 miles on the bike odometer, finally managed to break something, took 9 months, blew a spoke out....loving this bike,i can hardly believe it was only 800 dollars...saving up for a touring rig, hopefully by summers end,and a nifty 1500lb capacity bike trailer...

you put non frost tolerant plants in the ground in Feb? No way I could do that.

Working out in the garage...a neighbor stops by...tells me how hard hit he was by frost...heard other peeps talking about it over breakfast..3 nights straight...not me man...no reason for me to gamble plants..doesn't buy me shit...I'll play them close and in the hot house 'til mid June

we are some gardening fools here..many of the neighbors are way into them. pretty wild...the meeting of gardening minds...sharing seed...sharing experiences...talking weather lol...always talk weather

Should do a reality show...make a drama

I was thinking that since the Pablos are gone... and his last wish was to delete his account and all his threads... that out of respect we might want to wind this one up and move along to some other grow projects and threads...

I'm just saying... :)

I thought to start another thread...but then I thought..why bother?...as I will just talk about the same stuff anyway. This thread can be moved wherever..don't want to confuse anyone

Wearing and Tearing

* Appreciate Payaso looking out for the thread. Good stuff.

Returned from a couple hrs of bashing up and down hills...running some fire break...and an unofficial trail (not sure who maintains them..but this one is even flagged..illegal traffic flows in there..I know that..biologist too)

Been jumping the same dead fox for 4 months...watching it decay...think it must be diseased..as no other animal messes with it. I remember it fresh dead...in the snow...and now..its yellow skull is exposed..ribs patched over...here and there..with fur...teeth in a grimace..rather than a smile. Still there..

I waste shoes and socks...modify as I do...my shoes with silicone glue...when brand new...fixes some stock design flaws...and I get more milage out of them...but still...I need new shoes every other month

My big toes come through the socks...in just a few runs. Actually prefer my toes exposed like that..get a better feel and grip

Fucking foxtails...it's that time of year...annoying traveling seeds...can't be avoided..feel like toothpicks jabbing into my feet..rubbing and sticking..must have carried home a hundred in each shoe

You runnin' fool you ;)

WHAT UP!! Had a feeling you'd pop back up. Your big toes look like mine kinda...
I've got some of the ChemDD from you crossed with my Dcong coing now and few Prune Juice going at the moment. Dcong XGreen Haze/Panama too., Prunes are funny little girls . The most indica habit but the ever present DJ nute sensitivity thing going on too. They are very fast flowering fro what I cam tell. This batch is organic soil, Been a long time since I stepped away from the coco.

Keep rockin it your way my man

Howdy LG...yeah keeping the runs going...in no organized way..sometimes even running twice a day. Don't really calculate milage...some days I go far...some days I go not as far...but concentrate on speed or boulder bouncing...do a lot of off trail running....living the running lifestyle..which is..run run run...my feet are not much more than callused appendages

* Put in a couple of your DCong not long ago...topped and should get pretty big. I took clones of them...they should root...but I didn't have any males I liked...so I shouldn't be dusting them this round. Want to see what is what...but I'm thinking these are from the green side

Have another female still vegging in a 5gal smartie...think she might be a Deep Chunk expression. She's sensitive to everything...and slower growing.

** Prune Juice are pretty fast....the BB leaner I had was the longest at 68 days but most look ready in their late 50s...couldn't get mine to fade in flush. Yields were not all that...not my favorite type of high...but other peeps really liked it...flavors were on the berry/grape side...tasted like they smelled. Too indica for me...but I could see me using them in outcrosses...and the cross is now safely into the 3rd generation (used 6 females and 2 males)...imo the cross is a solid promise to Blue Indicas

I've offerred my "shoe testing" skills up to several companies...good responses..but no takers yet. In my mind...I feel I've paid enough dues on the trails...that I should be clothed for either a discount or totally free.

really like these Altra "Superior" shoes...soon to be on my 3rd pair..but none of the shoes last more than a few hundred miles..before becoming compromised on grip...and action responses. Summer running...because the ground is so much hotter...really softens up the foams and rubbers...I feel the shoes fade faster.

Socks are stupidly priced...I stick with the Injiji toe socks...actually cheaper than the smart wool toe socks and hold up better. I like being barefoot in my shoes...but in these shoes...it's better to have the sock as a liner against rubbing...so I go with the thinnest model made. Also get my shoes a 1/2 size small (a padded sock would cramp my toes)...as unlike most runners...I want my toes right at the ends...so I can feel the crevices in the rocks...I need to be able to feel my way through sections. Big toes are what find the proper pathway

If I didn't modify these shoes...they'd rip out around the inside and outside..where the balls of my feet are...about their only flaw really.
Other than that...they are zero drop from heel to toe..about perfect padding (they come with rock guards...but I take them out)...the best shoe i've found thus far...for what I do. Slightly less than $100...so not that bad...but still..and at least...a 2 for 1 deal would be fair I think. They are made in China...for probably...next to nothing...which bums me out

I have my wife running in the same model...and she's been happy with them as well.

AWESOME dude. I have a few Satechism IX1 unsexed in veg....don't think you can go wrong with this cross. I'm going to keep working on it...as I still believe BS 2.2 works nicely in outcrosses. A few more tweaks and bends in the genetic pipe...and I think it will be an endless flow of expression

Glad other growers are seeing the potential...and finding fruit. Props to you...my friend

Reverting

Reverting

The only Queen Mox clone...transplanted into a 1.7 gal square (few days ago)...is now starting to show normal growth. Looks like a clean revert from flower stage to veg stage

* I keep harping...but don't care...I know a great plant when I see one...and this expression is kill

** as of yesterday...I have one Mox Mox sister in flush

So...as I told you dudes...while I was gone (and a bit before) I was having trouble with waves of seedlings dying on me. Still don't know why...but that's not the point

The point is: I went through hundreds of seeds. I tried Hell Hound IX1, Strange Days, Salvation, Revolver, Jaundice IX1, U-Shine, OG Kush X Blue Satellite 2.2 IX1, Candy Loving, Satechism IX1, Hell Hound IX1S1, and some others that have no name

I'm not joking...how many I had up and going...then wilted and dead. Day after day....week after week...the horror.

What survived...what few plants made it? Not many.

Strange Days = Blue Moonshine X Blue Satellite 2.2 (one female?)

Salvation = I-Hop Highend X Hell Hound IX 1 (one undeclared)

Hell Hound IX1S1 = Odessa IX1 X OG Jam (2 females)

OG Kush X Blue Satellite 2.2IX1 (2 females)

Satechism IX1 = Casey Jones X Blue Satellite 2.2 (3 undeclared)

Hell Hound IX1 = Same as above (2 undeclared)

Pitiful....but I'm looking at it differently now. By god...if that's what survived the plane crash...I'll use them. It's been the worst plague of chaos I've ever experienced in these studios...bar none...felt like kicking the shit out of empty air (but instead...put my head down...and took out aggression on the trails)

...and it opened my eyes to errors in my ways...the errors in my style. Maybe the message is to slow down...become sound...and be thankful for what has already been revealed...accept the lessons...endear myself more to the individual expressions who have gotten me this far along. Stay with them longer...stop being a slut

Queen Mox is a gift...I know this in my gardening heart. She was found for a reason

*** You may notice...there is a lot of BS 2.2 in these latest plants. I'll knock on the 2.2 for lack of potency....but aromas, flavors, resin, and structures...are desirable to me. My plans with 2.2 have always been about empowering them with more kick....different kicks. Never thought the 2.2 complete enough for me...

**** Koot has a great idea combining the SFV OG Kush with the 2.2...and maybe he was thinking kind of the same thing...add ons to potency, profile, and structure. Anyway...if you never tried that cross...I'd get on it...the OG expressions are wild

I Fell...I have Fallen...Falling

I Fell...I have Fallen...Falling

...but what can one do?

Get back up...fuck it all..fuck the fall..there is only now...and now is now

In Jiffy pellets (why not..so easy to deal with) are some very freshly harvested beans (Red Krox)...sprouting. Harvest Sprout Harvest Sprout

Red Krox = Red Kali Most F5 X Mox Krox F1

Mox Krox = Mox Mox X Grape Krush

Mox Mox = Chem DD "Deliah" X TFlux

TFlux = Original Flo X Chem DD

straight off the vine...soaked in a shot glass of RO water overnight..then into the pellets

* Where is Mr. A? The RKM F5 beans used to make Red Krox...of course...are his

** being so used to watching seedlings fold on me now...my expectations are moderate..at best. Been a couple/few weeks since I started any...maybe the ya ya voodoo curse is lifted. I'm like a general...throwing more fodder onto the battlefield? More waves of life sent to...their annihilation?

You fall...you get the fuck up...and if you fall again...you get the fuck up
