JW, if you got determinate maters no need to prune. If they are indeterminate then you probably want to just prune out the sucker branching and they should all ripen good.

Sup stuff.

Determinate grow to a set height, kinda bushy. They have a determinate height and shape
Indeterminate grow long and viney, stretchy. They have an indeterminate height and shape. Will just keep on growing.

Temperamental. A choppy ride. Quarters are nice but i prefer Tennessee Walkers for the smooth gated ride.Love the one I have now. big boy and smooth as hell to ride.
The Arabian my daughter has now doesn't want to ride by himself, is scared of his own shadow, dogs, bags, dirt, rain, wind, flies, breathing, day, night, you name it and is content as hell to just wander around the property looking at shit and eating. He's a fine looking horse and was qualified for a huge horse show when we got him. She's won a lot of 1st and 2nd place wins with him, but he is one quirky fucker that just pisses me off.
Had one as a kid and he was pretty much the same way. Damn fine looking but an all around pain in the ass to deal with.
don't get me wrong, I love the way they look, conformation and all that, and they can't be beat for endurance riding, but at some point, it's like damn. Just damn!!
for what it's worth, I really dig the hell out of Percheron's. Nice big horses.
