I've been quietly following along. Awesome show Gnome! Can't wait to hear about your final pics and results as well as the autoflusher.

ok,
most of you know ive been using Mh in bloom,
last year i was trying hps and mh and thought the hps may have ripened the buds a bit sooner
so! after flushing the soil 2 wks ago i put an hps super eye horti in one of the hood in this grow,
under it is 5 IBGs and 1 TF
under the MH hood with the $21 bulb is 2 IBGs and 3 TFs.
here are the results....
the pics aren't the best.
here is a pic of the lone TF that was under hps, its in the forefront, the 3 green budz and in the back ground are the other 3 TF that were in MH, the leavves are flushing out chlorophyll like crazy and I'm getting purpling in the flowers.
another wider angle, its hard to see but the TF in the front that was under the HPS is still very green, absolutely no coloring while the plants behind the HPS TF have noticably yellowed out.
its a much more stark contrast in person,
the pics isn't quite getting the stark difference.

Do you think the HPS is forcing it to continue to try to uptake nutes and grow, vs the MH causing some form of lock out which might cause the plant to think its time to ripen?
You can see the difference in color, pretty well... although I do imagine as you say, that in person its much more vivid.
Also the MH seems to have caused both strains to get more swell than the HPS did for the other plants... what are the densities like on the swollen MH plants vs the HPS?

hey syz, i have no idea why HPS is greener and Mh is so far ahead in the finishing process?
but this my last grow using HPS for anything.
everything being equal, some strain produce bigger denser nugz than other.
5 out of 7 IBGs have rock hard nugz, the other 2 are so so.
its mostly genetics imo
but other things factor in,
like distance from the light can effect density and size

growing seems to be the easy part for me,

this grow, it seems the tse fly are going to take top honors overall in taste, yield and potency which I didn't expect as
buying the tse fly was a fluke because i needed to spend $30 more to get the 20% off my entire order so I pretty much wnet with what was the cheapest and the best....
doing a quick look at what to get i saw a tse fly grow on the mosca forums
and when i saw the huge cola's on the 1st page I said.... tse fly it is then!
I remember my daughter's(grown adult) reaction when she saw the tse fly's and ibg's at 7wks...

im super jealous of your c99 bx! been looking for her for a long time but shes sold out of everywhere except the 1 place i refuse to order thru cause they have an "attitude" lol this is an amazing show youve put on man, congratulations!

All I can say is, I can only pray to have that kind of relationship with my daughter when she is grown. It seems to go in the opposite direction, more times than not when kids see their parents doing something "illegal" and are brainwashed to believe is "bad".
You have sold me on the Tsi Fly, and I am so damn interested in seeing how well those Azucar you are holding perform as well. I know in hands like yours only good things can happen.
Also on a side note, I will most likely be stealing the MH bulb thing from you, you have inspired me to do a side by side from day 1 to help solidify your findings next time I can get a controlled set up running.
Those otibg phenos look great will you run them again from clone? It also surprises me that tsi fly is your favorite.

I had a lot of fun logging this grow,
doing it from seed it was unpredictable
no one knew what was going to *pop up*
adventure at every turn

C99BX1 is still available at the place i picked mine up
if you try Mh in your bloom run use a 4000K bulb or as close as possible.
i just picked up 2 bt36 3800K bulbs to fit into the cool tubes used in veg.
the 4000K BT6 bulb is 7" in dia.

growing up my kids were never exposed to anything I did, smoke and fungi. i taught them as best I thought about *drugs*
the real dangers of some and the baseless demonizing propaganda against others but regardless drove home the point they are very illegal.
I told them when they grew up and became adults they could make their own decisions.
when my daughter did find out i smoked, and did fungi
she had no idea at all.
I didn't want my kids thinking and probably idolizing
the things i did.
its funny now because now she loves to smoke
and i rarely do anymore lol

i gave my man the final testers yesterday.
it looks like its going to be pretty disappointing for the otibgs
there is only 1 stand out since day 35 and I don't think it will be a producer,
3 pheno's lack very little to any taste and are a 7s, mids by 49days
they all looks absolutely top shelf hoping,
the 67 day bloom run changed that.
now the tse fly's are all 8-8.5 to 9,
huge cola's, copious amounts of resin with a aromatic aroma and tasty tasty!
my tester has nugz from 56 days/8 wks so i will probably give him one more round of the post chop nugz
and no... my daughter isn't involved in the *testing* process

That tsi fly must be some killer chronic if it knocked the otibg out the box
Personally I run a cut more than 5 times before I can it, if I didn't I woulda lost some pure fiyyyaa over the years

the #1 ibg pheno's is top shelf,
ive yet to find out how it stacks against the best tse fly yet.
and l do somewhat of a confession to make that may have a direct impact on the otibgs....
i thought i had broad mites around. 3-4 wks, they showed signs, stunted bud developement,
very few /dead pistils. although i never saw any I thought they may have been inside the bud structure.
back up to my march-april grow.
i started a new fert program that i believe enhanced greatly resin and bud development.
i was seeing buds @ 30 days that looked to 45+ days
5-7 items need to be mixed and some are hot, with only a few ml per gallon
and i had never used some of these items before.
on the otibg gro, i checked my run off at 30ish days and had a stunning 4900ppm runoff.
the otibg's were the most affected,
TFs were some but not near as much as the otibg.
i flushed a bit and suspended the fertz except for some liquid karma.
i saw things quickly change and the otibg buds bounced back quickly.
how much of an effect, lasting or not, it had on my final product i don't know?
the #1 pheno is absolutely superb in taste and potency!, 4-5-6, no taste mids potency,
2-3-7 are better, waiting for results from the last bioassay.
but all looked topshelf with resin oozing and great calyx formations
but there it hangs....
hoping today i get the 8wk tester report.
