california supreme court decision saying that dispensaries can be banned should be a benefit to prices? wonder how long that will take?

if the people down in the united states pass a nationwide "Tax and Regulate" like Washington and Colorado states, then you can probably start welcoming the heavy hitters into the field (monsanto, ConAgra, Phillip Morris) albeit, you are still correct where the top notch medicine will bring top dollar. you will still have problems of non-organic outdoor grows on a wider scale contributing to bad land management as well as a flooded marking bringing prices down.

just some thoughts.

I'd say the point is you realize you don't want to do this forever. it's all part of an exit strategy. I do see your point though hash. I used to do a lot bigger commercial ops and be busy 12 hours a day too But as I got older I realized I'd rather not have so much stress and would rather take a pay cut and have more time to spend with my lady and my pups. Now I still have a decent amount of work but I do get to enjoy the thins I like to do one daily basis as opposed to busting ass for a we months then taking a breather vacation only to come back to the same madness.

You could work 4 hrs a day and plan to do this for 20 years or you could bust ass and go balls to the wall for 10 years, cash out with let's say half a mil and retire like a king for the rest of your life on same random island if you really wanted to.

Believe me I've known quite a few immigrants that came here learned the trade, made that half a million and gone right back home with it pretty much set for the rest of their life. It really makes me question why in the fuck Im So damn set on still living here in the US? But that's a whole nother story.....

oh the exit strat, I see. Ya i am an overgrower and growing is my passion so I plan to grow weed until i cant lift clones, but 4 hours a day is enough. With the proper balance I can enjoy my life and my job and not burn out.

That's awesome for you guys. But you have to understand growing isn't a just hobby for people like me and jack. It's my only source of income. I've never had a Job but I will tell you breaking federal law for the rest of my life doesn't necessarily appeal to me. Hence the reason for having an exit strategy. As it is I feel like I've been doing this way too long.

^it is my only source as well. understand though if you have your doc rec for 99 plats, stay under 99 plants, you are in a med state, are not a violent felon, and have no guns with the grow, then you wont go to jail. There is no minimum sentence for under 99 plants. Even if you take your time it only takes 4 hours a day max to take care of under 99 plants. Jack's set up is serious and if I went that route I would have more doc recs and have it split up into more rooms leased to different individuals. then each person is still under 99. also those beds he does are a lot of work. I would just use flood drain tables. It takes me 3 hours a day to do everything at a leisurely pace listening to head my phones, and my quality is not lacking in the slightest. go check out my album called vert stuff to see. It was already good. I took Jack's advice and it got better.

I will always grow also no matter what... I love what I do and I love this plant and this plant is Medicine... But ive been working 12 hrs a day since I was 16 years old if I retired tomorrow I would go crazy... But I will be moving to the mountains in a few years and start slowing down maybe an 8 hr day tending to my land...

thats the eventual goal...getting that mountain land! im surprised you havent gotten acres sooner jack! its the shiet mang...grow outdoors, greenhouses, and indoors, ride quads and dirtbikes, shoot guns in your backyard, bass fishing, jet skis, party boats, hiking.....hopefully you will come up to norcal and be a neighbor one day.

i intend to stay in the cannabizz as long as possible, regardless if its black market and grinding packs till im old or if it goes legal and i can finally run a legal shop just like a microbrew company....im following alot of the mega shops in CO and trying to emulate their progress on a smaller scale.

honestly CA is getting fucked pretty big time compared to Colorado....out here people are still getting busted and shut down for small time shit, but in CO some of the big companies are setting up absolutely massive grows....im willing to bet theres some kind of government involvement or protection for some of the companies, maybe they are the feds test experiment, but they are fucking up the prices for black market growers for sure...you can get OZ of good shit in CO for 100 bucks an OZ now, 200 tops for the elite organic shit.....

^I imagine in the future when the market is saturated nation wide, a 1000 a pound will be standard for the good shit, and the "shwag" or "econo kush" will only be like 250 a pound.

At that point is when it could start becoming more like wine. certain years of out door or certain good indoor crops will be notable, and will be vac sealed for long storage. vintage weed and hash may become an actual market. terrior would be a big factor at that point. For instance, I can usually tell if bud was grown in the humbodlt area, because it has a very distinct terrior that other places dont have. It stands out as a feature in every bag of OD I have ever gotten from the area.

It would not keep as long as wine, but I'm sure with modern sealing technologies weed can be kept nice for at least 2 years.

I am also guessing green house tech will be the new standard. environment controlled sealed green houses with intake filters, humidity control, temp control, c02. basically just using the sun from out side. It is a superior light source, and will probably be the only thing economically viable for competing in the market of higher grade stuff produced in mass quantity for retail purpose. electricity will never be more efficient than the sun, but OD and unsealed green houses will never be as consistently dank as indoor with controlled environment. However organic soil has it benefits for flavor and that can not be produced with out real sun and soil. combining the best of both worlds would be ideal for quality and cost of production per pound.

seems really random here is San Diego. we have a friendly mayor but then new raids with feds using san diego sheriff.

Outdoor is great if you have a location for it. I'm still happy growing inside and I feel safer with the plants inside locked away from spying/stealing eyes. I cant Complain, getting 2800 donations from the local club for my Larry OG Kush that produces on the average 3zips a plant. Not bad in a city that is flooded.

The whole 'donation' and 'med' thing is just so funny for me. Been smoking since 1974. People selling herb today no different than almost 30 years ago. I guess now that it's 'med' it's politically correct? Too funny.
