Wasn't there a bill his year to make the legislature meet every year? Did that pass? If so maybe only 1 more year of growing

If this bill passes, I won't renew my mmj card. I refuse to pay to get screwed, even in Pahrump. I hope nobody renews and these dispensaries become ghost towns.

Well, the card saves you from prosecution in case of possession. I'd say renew or not renew is up to you, but buying in dispensaries is definitely akin to cutting a tree you sit on.

I think we should at least tell the Senate Finance Committee that some of us won't renew and accept this new program. They need to be told that this isn't the financial windfall that Tick is selling.

yes indeed, I thought we beat the Nazi's in the big one, but there are always holdouts. I live in northern Nevada and am a registered patient, I joined this program to get away from drug dealers, and look at who it is ... the drug dealers dressed in suits and calling themselves our elected officials, I spent 20 years hiding these plants from these fuckers! And now look, they want to force me to buy from them...I'm at a loss here guys, but I do know we can't go out like this, lets fight these bastards! What can we do? Any ideas?

Write your state reps as this has to pass by 2/3 vote. Write the Assembly Reps on the Assembly Judiciary Committee if this passes the Sen Finance committee today. That's where it'll be heard next. Post comments on the Nevada Legislature website.

Raise all the hell you can! This is suppose to be a democracy where we have the right to raise hell when we're being screwed over. Let's see how that works out against the ruling suits.... We're probably screwed huh?

Hearing just got over. A patient from Las Vegas made a very good presentation; but they didn't give a shit. Start writing the Assembly Judiciary Committee and demanding your right to continue growing! I do think we're screwed though. Ticks guy said their reason to take away our grow rights is so they can control the black market. Ain't no black market here with my little 7 plant empire!

Ticks guy is right you just didn't understand what he meant. You are the black market. Their store is the white market. They put it in there to eliminate you. The black market. Any market they don't own is called the black market.

100 $ says that once the first store opens. Ee start hearing about patients getting checked out possibly locked up like the next day. I am picturing a room full of pigs and pollititions sitting in a room sweating and jerking off to images of patients and tjeir 12 plants getting ass raped by swat. Like pausing and rewinding shit as pregnant chicks and dudes in wheelchairs get tazed.

Man.. frustrating, but not unexpected. That's just how cookie crumbles I guess. Does anyone know when this atrocity will take effect? It is basically once the dispensary opens withing the county limits we can't grow? If so I wonder how long it will take for that to happen?

they were told that tonight.
law enforcement wants the no grow rule place in the amendment so that they "can track" every bit of medical marijuana sold in the state. The senators on the finance committee didn't even know that amendment was in there. When asked about it, that pussy Segerblom wouldn't even answer it.
>>>Senator Mark Hutchison R Clark County

^^^This is the guy that put the amendment in there.

When

Senator Ben Kieckhefer of the finance committee

said that he saw where they were going to raise the plant count to 13 but he didn't see anything at all about the no grow amendment because it wasn't in his copy of the bill, Segerblom just stared off into space and finally Hutchison had to answer the question.

They had all their witnesses come up and talk about how much money the state was going to make. and that in addition to the $10.00 transaction fee that there may be an additional fee added regionally so that each county or area can benefit from the additional fees. Like this is a GREAT THING to do!!!

They talked about how busy the Arizona dispensaries are. How much the dispensary fees bring in. yadayadayada.
Right up until they were told that all those numbers sound great but they were just being led on.

That Nevada has around 3600 patients and AZ has over 34600 patients.
That all the moneys coming into the State sounded like a great thing for everyone involve....EXCEPT THE PATIENTS
The chairman of the committee sat and stared with that "damn I haven't heard any of this" look on her face.

They heard about how compassionate the dispensaries would be and that they would be like pharmacies.
They heard that $70.00 for 3.5 grams of marijuana is a lot of things but compassionate isn't one of them.

Couple of the Senators asked what an ounce of marijuana cost in a dispensary and on the street. They were told by some of the senators ball huggers that 185.00 was the norm for it.
Then they were told, in Segerbloms on words from the newspaper a while back that 55.00 an eighth was the price charges in AZ so that would make an ounce around $450.00 with just the $10.00 fee added on.
They were told that a patient using edibles used about 4 ounces per month which in these compassionate setting would cost between $1600.00 to $2000.00.
That opened up a bunch of questions for Segerblom and Hutchison. Hutchinson did all the answering.

If you guys want this to pass just sit on your hands and don't do anything. You know, kinda like tonight went.
If you don't, ring their fucking bells until they get the damn message.

OK, but who to call? Our representatives? I emailed everyone I could email. I called. I don't know what else I can do.

You're doing your part. Call everyone that is on the Judiciary committee. it goes back to them now and there will possibly be 1 more hearing on it with them presiding before going for the vote. Call your senator and rep. they don't read emails. Talk with their staff. Get anyone you know to call them. This is getting serious.
Because I've been in their face for quite some time, I'll never be able to grow in Nevada again. Can almost guarantee that if they go checking after a dispensary opens here I'll be on top of that list.
And by the way, the new bill says that if a dispensary opens in your COUNTY, you won't be able to grow again. My county seat is about 125 miles away, lol

Don't tell me you didn't see this coming.

We are still falling all over ourselves to legalize and tax and regulate.

We will miss these good old days.

I haven't gone thru the back pages, so maybe already suggested...

There is a compromise that could be framed in a manner that the politicians could resolve within their existing mindset (or brainwashing as the case may be)... Allow for pat/cg grows, but license aand code and inspect like any other commercial operation a dip would operate. If u wanted to really bend, require all pat/cg grows to take place in commercially zoned areas, again open to licensing fee, regulation, inspection, code, the whole works. This could even be further restricted where those meds couldn't be sold to dips, or that dips weren't allowed to buy... Only for the pat/cg.

The last part really socks balls, but would fit in with the dip agenda and might make it more palatable to them. The licensing/coding would make it 'safe' under state guidelines, and an additional revenue stream. It would also preserve and protect a pats right to safe, affordable, highly specialized meds... That would be superior (and cheaper) than the dips.

Ud be cutting off the left arm to save the right, but better than no arm at all.

Just wanted to say good luck guys. Try to do what you can while you still got a chance (even a small one). This is coming from someone in the only state to pass medical marijuana bill in the fucking 1970s and still to this day we are sitting on our asses wondering where the hell our meds are... It would be comical if it weren't so sad... Bills gotta be worded the right way or you get fucked.

Ironically, this whole bill came about because the ACLU of Nevada threatened to sue the state because they were not fulfilling there constitutional responsibilities in passing legislation allowing dispensaries.
Maybe they would be the organization to contact, either here or in Reno, about our right to grow. After all, they are representing the half of patients that apparently can't grow while the state is fucking the half of patients that can!!
Maybe load them up with complaints?

I thought about it long and hard and it probably wont change anything, but we are not losing anything by trying. We need to organize. But considering doing it live is impractical I think we should create a petition that is sent to literally EVERYBODY we want to contact. I think some of the petition sites like Change can do that. This way we will get more people behind it as its always easier and faster to sign than to write from scratch. Also spread that petition throughout social media and basically ask everyone we know would care to sign it. If we have any chance to move the needle is if we organize.

However, the petition must be effectively written. I would try to take a crack at it but English is my 2nd language and it would literally take me days to get it grammatically sound. If anyone here with a better control of language could help I would gladly do all the leg work as far as opening the account getting all set up and finding the email addresses of everyone we want to blast. I just need the letter itself.

So what do you guys think? Can anyone help? Even if we are destined to go down at least we can go down fighting... somewhat. I cant ask everybody here to call or write their own letter because I know what time it takes and that majority wont do it, but I think I can realistically ask everyone here to sign a petition. So that's my thoughts.
