"Today, ..., I would like to proclaim: 'We are treasure towers shining with the light of happiness!'

"A giant and magnificently adorned treasure tower appears in the Lotus Sutra. What does this treasure tower signify?

"The Daishonin clearly explains this in a response to a question from Abutsu-bo, a follower from Japan’s northern climes [of Sado Island]: 'In the Latter Day of the Law, no treasure tower exists other than the figures of the men and women who embrace the Lotus Sutra.... [T]hose who chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo are themselves the treasure tower' (WND-1, 299). And the Daishonin concludes: 'Abutsu-bo is therefore the treasure tower itself, and the treasure tower is Abutsu-bo himself' (WND-1, 299).

"In other words, your life itself is the treasure tower.

"The life of an individual is not something weak or powerless; it contains within it potential as vast and limitless as the universe. The treasure tower of life remains solid and unshaken, no matter what hardships may assail it. No one can destroy it."

I hope everyone reading this message actually reads this entire thread and the original Chanting Growers Thread in my signature on this site. Please make a mental note of all the guidance written throughout these pages on both threads. I have royally fucked myself over by getting arrogant and forgetting from time to time that I am a Thus Come One of Original Enlightenment, disciple of Nichiren Daishonin. Sometimes my ego can overcome the 7 years of faith and conviction I've been developing, but only momentarily. All it takes is one big fuck up to ruin tons of progress. Please know that I'm trying my best to recoup my percieved "essentials", but I recognize the only essential thing is that I keep chanting "Nam-myoho-renge-kyo!" no matter what.

Thank you and keep practicing to the best of your ability everyday, even if its only one daimoku blowing through your lips! Thank you!

and...courage isnt the absence of fear...its having the faith to face the fear...realize its an illusion...and come flyin' out the other side victorious...

like plants, faith grows..

i water, nourish and feed my plants so they will grow to their maximum potential...a plant is nothing without healthy robust roots...

i chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo to build my own roots...when my roots are healthy my faith is unshakable...so..
