Punishment Italy???

Hi there,

i have a question. Right now i'am living in Holland, but in 2 months i'am moving to live in Italy (Salerno).
I'am going to live in a big house, with a room left

Now i want to grow there,.. That is what i'm good in
i'am thinking about 6x 600W HPS (54 plants, 9 @ 1m²)

But what is the risk in Italy?? What will the judge give you when you get busted.

I'am going to work for 3 years in Salerno.
I grow plants for 8 years now, on hydro (slabs) and soil... so i know all the ins and outs

I'am only curious about the punishment of the judge by having 6x 600W and 54 plants..
Is it worth the risk.....

You can't grow 1800w in Italy if u don't request a bigger electric meter because the standard is 3000w.

Whit 54 plants in SALERNO (not the most peaceful place in Italy) u go in jail for years.

Italian law says that if you grow just one plant you're charged of drug producing from 6 to 20 years jail (apart the fine I don' remember).

That's the actual law. I know you can think it's weird. It actually is!

For us Italians (I think for everyone, foreigners included) you can shorten the processual time by admitting you're guilty.
If you do so, the punishment is reduced till 1\3.

If it's your first time and the final punishment time is below 5 years you can ask a suspension of the penalty and stay basically free.

If after a period of 5 years you have not committed the same offense, you are full free.

That said, a lot depends on the judge...sometimes people found with some plants get free, but 54 plants and 3600W mean dealing for a judge and 99% he will charge you with 6 years.
You admit you're guilty and obtain 1\3 of 6 years (usually) that are 2 years.
With 2 years charge you can ask for a suspension.

I think that's what you want to know, and I hope I didn't write bullshit! But that's what I know.

If you have a few plants can survive it (in fact, for "personal use" is often not given any punishment, sometimes the home or social work), but if you can not defend yourself and what's more with 50 plants, prison is virtually assured!

Hi Duch, Noreason's answer is complete. In Italy if you grow, or if you have much of 50 grams you are seen as a pusher, also if you are in your home. It's quite depressing our situation...

1 or 50 plant at the eyes of laws is equal, not the some at the eyes of judges..
but sure, here if police find you 54 plants in home they start a party for celebrate the discovery, you ll go on news on press.. and you ll stay in jail for a lot of time..
sorry for the news, in italy you must be care and not tell to ANYONE of your growing..

We have one of the toughest laws worldwide.
I may add that it really also depend on how much you earn per month so that your lawyer can tell the judge to chill a bit as you are not producing with the intent to sell as your financial condition is stable enough. This is a card most people with stable jobs and family play ....sometime the judge doesn't care ..sometime it has been taken into consideration....
Rest assured that if they bust you with 54 plants, you will make it into national news coverage !!!
There are people with large grows but they know what they are doing and to whom they are selling so please, for your safety, do not attemp to do likewise specially at the beginning of your trip.
Enjoy the food ...enjoy the people and the seaside ...but try to stay out of trouble !!!
Keep your mouth shut about your grow even with your new italian friends.
Don' t smoke in pubblic.
Don 't sell under any circumstances .
That being said i hope you'll have a pleasent stay in italy and will now tell family and friends about how italian growers risk every day their freedom, their job, their reputation to grow our beloved plants.

Hi, Sorry but is not true... In Italy if you have any ammount of hash or weeds you will/can be punish...and if you have a discrete, not even big quantity and some cash, the pollice Will charge you as as a pusher, then if you are lucky with the judge the charge drop as for personal use, That is meanless because the law in Italy is punishing the possession and consume with no difference...


So is all up to the judge, meanwhile the news Will cover the notice all over...

In Italy you can just stay with a very low profile, even to can smoke...
All rest at your own risk, hight risk... And more you have more low profile, more people Will know you have or produce weeds, more risk you take.... No needing to expalin why right?


My advice is to Grow only once you Find a right pleace and don't use more That 1500 W, so for 54 plants, forget, about the hps, you can still have a good croop with other lights.


Italy.... Not a good pleace to Grow, smoke and since some years even live...
Beautyfull country.... But not more a free country...
