Wow... nice and thorough!

First thread in QUITE some time I've actually read all the way through... i was supposed to be sleep hours ago....but NNOOOOOOO, I had to stumble across this gem.. lots of good info in here.. I'm building a flip flip room very shortly, and will need to rig up a window banger to cool 2 flower rooms, via sealed-"ish"... it may actually be sealed if i get it set up the right was...or should I say, if it works the way it does in my head lol!
I bkmarked that Breeze... may be my next buy... $1700 is a small price to pay for what it'll give you in the next turn around...

On with the show...

Hey G, if you don't mind, I'd like to ask a couple A/C q's....
Ask away, always willing to lend a helping hand.
You can find units that cost less but unless you already have the tools and know how, that to me is what makes them worth the extra coin. I bought a diken 24000 btu a few weeks back for just over 800 bux. then got paid another 600 to install it. So from a growers stand point that couple of hundred for a true plug and play is worth it for safety.

Thanks for your help along the way. I'm glad I took your advice and kept the two rooms separate with two AC's.

Sure the window banger is not ideal but it will have to do, at least for a little while.

:tiphat:

Just says 110, nothing about 220.

i knew a couple old timers who ran great shows with window bangers. in shed out back on their properties. i may be buying 2 for myself right away to get me through the summer months in a couple smaller spaces

Shit man, that means a lot to me. I've been on the other end many times trying to finish a thread before getting off the computer. I'm glad you found it interesting.

I hope there is some knowledge in here that can help some folks down the road like so many threads here have helped me.

Yeah, at the end of the day it does what it is supposed to. The veg room is only 8x13 so another mini would really be overkill.

I got a few pics of the veg room as it is set up now. Subject to change.

Here is the final veg station. A 3x6 tray with 2x600 hanging above. The 6's are run on 240 with a Titan Helios controller.

picture.php

Next to the 3x6 is a 2x4 tray with a 8 bulb T5.

I think I am going to swap out the 2x4 tray and T5 with a 3x3 and a HID. It would fit better and be an extra sq ft. I have some 4 bulb T5's that will go in my bakers rack below my cloning/seedling shelf as seen here.

I got a wall mounted fan installed today so the box fan is gone. Still gonna need a few shelves for storage and need to finish picking up but almost done.

And finally some pics of some Sativa ladies.

I hear ya!! Hopefully I'll have have that same cheesy grin soon...

Hey 3rd, regarding your T5's you notice a shitload of heat kicking form them? I have a 8bulb 4ft setup too, and that bitch is hot! I had to take it back down, til i get it into the other room, with better ventilation...

Work in progress..

@G, yai hear ya...that's why i want to get that Breeze...I'm pretty crafty, but haven't messed with freons lines and the such b4, i don't know anybody that i trust that knows how to do it...so the plug and play it is lol...

Yeah, I read a lot how "cool" T5's run. In my experience they run pretty hot.

Maybe a 2 or 4 bulb 2 footer would be cool but not when you get into 8 bulb 4 footers.

I'm gonna replace it with a select-a-watt Galaxy I have and run it at 400 or 600 with a halide. I don't expect a 400 would put off any more heat than the T5.

Ya, I'm thinking I may need to aircool my unit...I have the Sunsystem one, I've seen some units that simply have computer fans mounted to the top, and I may do the same to help pull that hot air off, but if my veg area gets built like planned, and enough air moves through, I may not need too...

Hope you get it worked out Incognegro one way or the other.

Speaking of fans and air movement I got my new fan mounted today. Glad I got it in before I needed it. I'm sure summer temps will hit in the next couple weeks.

It certainly moves some air no doubt. Don't think I'll have any problems keeping the barn within a few degrees of ambient.

Hooked it up to a light switch for easy on/off.

Here's a pic of the room.

Nice!!

My builder and I were discussing if I should add an attic fan or a turbine... I've seen a couple solar powered ones..

How are the temps working for you with that Breeze?

The Gavitas?

Temps are staying at 78 during the day and 68 at night. Exactly where I want them. I feel confident I could throw 2 more Gavita in there and the Breeze would do fine.

Loving the Gavitas as well and glad I got them when I did cause it looks like the price went up since I bought them.

What is the inverted trap for? I hope thats not your drain. If it's the freon tubing that is okay. And if yor fan didn't come with a t-stat I can guide you on setting 1 up. All that is needed is 24 volt transformer, set of a/c unit contacts and a little wire.

Finally got a pic of the finished condensate line. The "trap" was just where I had tried to pull it out.

picture.php

Today I got back to it and opened the line set and pulled the condensate line all the way out and set it to drain into a storage barrel.

Like your rooms bro, nice:comfort:

Thanks Vegan! Still fine tuning some stuff around here. I swapped out my 48T5 and 2x4 tray for a 600 MH and a 3x3 tray.

2x4 tray went in my bakers rack and will now has a 44T5 above it(got it hung after these pics were taken).

Not too much left to do now. Still would like to get a pond liner down in the flower room and I need to get a screen door for the entry door. This will allow the proper passive intake(recommended 576 sq inches) for the exhaust fan.

I also think I will put gutters on the barn and collect rain water since I don't have plumbing in the barn.:dance013:

Thanks sureshot66. Yeah that was part of it, it's also nice for hanging stuff. Lights, fans, ballasts ect. don't need to mess with finding a stud or using drywall anchors.
