I'll be going to Berlin first time to Germany, I speak 0 german. I'm from Toronto, Canada.....any english speakers from Berlin or anywhere else i guess? that would be cool. also what places should I go and what is happening in sept/oct for festivals/parties/clubs? and are there any weed-friendly areas or coffeeshops/vapor lounges? sorry but we are kind of tired of these threads in the german subforum... every month some tourists wanna know where to score weed...
most of us dont even live in berlin, and even if we would, we won't go to a meeting to hook a tourist (that we never met) up. the laws are a bit stricter than in canada... we dont really have medical marijuana available unfortunately.
BUT dont worry. berlin is very multi cultural. a lot of people speak english there.
weed and berlin get a long very well... many smokers live there. in some more liberal areas of berlin, like "Kreuzberg" and "Friedrichshain", you can even smoke INSIDE pubs...
smoking on the streets is normal... but when we puffed up in a packed bar i was kind of surprised that NOBODY looked at us funny.. except the one guy that wanted to get some weed from us...
"i lost my weed" he said - my friend (she lives in berlin) just replied: "we are smoking our own pot, fuck off"

Damned, I don´t know the name but in Berlin-Kreuzberg is a great park with a scene as I read in the newsmagazin the SPIEGEL.
i could help you out with some infos about clubs, etc.
just have to know into what kind of music you're into.
about weed: eugen already made it clear. the posession of weed is illegal, overall in germany.
it's just happens to be very relaxed in berlin. if they catch you, you'll most certainly only loose the weed but dont have to face any penalties. that's how it goes for local people. dont know about tourists.
i still wouldn't recommend you getting weed from the streets/urban parks cause it's almost every time impure, in most cases with brix.
the only way to get some decent weed is to know somebody. the way it always is.
@herman: you probably mean the "görlitzer park". it's nowadays the most famous source to get weed beside "hasenheide" in neukölln.
it's still impure in many cases. and if it isn't, it's still crap. haven't bought anything in 12years and i even wouldn't smoke it if they give it away for free.
it happens to be the place too where every now and then some people are pulling up a soundsystem on a trolley and are playing minimal/techhouse music.
perfect place to chill out on a lovely summer day. good vibes. there's also a wonderful jazz bar located directly in the park.
more infos later on if you can tell us what you're looking for. cause it's just too much i could tell you about berlin.

yeah, if ya looking for street shwag, go to "Hasenheide" or "Görlitzer Park". both are green areas where apparently ya can buy weed...
it's a real shame but apparently that is where our youth is getting their weed. i also know a guy who cares for disabled people. unfortunately due to the fact that these people dont know any growers, they also get their medicine at those parks. makes me feel very sad

Stimmt Görlitzer Park war das. Man kann sich sogar aussuchen, ob man bei Türken, Albanern oder Afrikanern was holt.

hasenheide ist noch so eine "area", die ich eigentlich immer meide. in berlin habe ich in den parks eh immer ein gefühl, als ob dort nur dealer und kaputte sind. da sollte man echt nur im absoluten notfall sein (un)glück suchen. eher würd ich nen taxifahrer oder nen barkeeper fragen.

Hehe, wollte ich auch erst so schreiben.
Aber besser als nix vermutlich, das Streetweed, better than nothing.Nur so eine, na ja Anekdote, als ich 1990 in New York war bin ich auch durch die Parks und habe es mir da geholt. Natürlich immer in die Parks wo im Touristenführer vor gewarnt wurde. Ein mal haben sie mir stinknormale Blätter angedreht. War in Brooklyn in einem Park im schwarzen Viertel, konnte ich nur leider nix machen als Weißbrot aber sonst hat es immer geklappt.

Ne Bronx war noch ne Nummer zu hart, da bin ich gar nicht erst hin. Manhattan Bryant Park, halt da in Brooklyn und dann noch mal in Brooklyn in einem Park unter der Verranzano Narrows Bridge. Da hätte ich das beste bekommen, was ich bei meinem Aufenthalt hätte bekommen können. Leider hatte der Typ nur noch für 50 Dollar, war zuviel weil ich 1-2 Tage später wieder abflog. Crack und Heroin hätte man an jeder Straßenecke bekommen können, viel leichter als Weed.
