Confused scrog grower need help please!

Good solid advice for anyone i reckon mate, milk them for what they are worth! I have been sharing the love around so i have a few to take stock from now.
Nice idea adding young cuts into the flower room, by doing this are you giving your self a window into the future on how the plants grow giving you an idea of how your scrogs will perform/behave? i likey! Will try this method one day when i can!
Wow, nice grow man. Like your sativa's i see? How is the nl x haze or is this your first run?
I have somehow forgotten or missed the mod scrog in my research, though i check out verdant greens journals and it's a killer concept.
I will try to get pics up soon just have abit to sort out on that front, but yeh can't wait! lollipopping has begun, so it's all coming along

Ahhh mate c99,just find her glass slipper. She take's you somewhere special from what i here I have been eyeing it off for a while now and ready to order some once i find what seeds i want, i am thinking nugshiners look tasty.

I will keep that in mind for when i start some seeds up thanks mate, i am all for saving time if i can and because i am still a novice grower i am not sure my plants health is a1 so i will try to avoid tipping for the most part. As it turned out i ran out of head height for a lil while there and the tipping may have helped some with that. On that note i am stoked with my tent, i was able to push the cieling up and sit the hoods on the support bars ;P

Thanks for explaining the fans for me, i will change it around so i have the 2 up top together like you mentioned and still one below the canopy.My exhaust/intake are like you said. Is it alright for under the canopy to be around 8 degrees cooler then up top? it is winter where i am and i have been relying on the lights for heat.

I checked out some of your journals mate and they are inspiring to say the least.
I have to admit that i doubted leds, but i just didn't look hard enough obviously.

the mod concept was an eye opener for me, only been using them since i started believe or not... Verdant green was one of the few people to inspire me, still remember that day..i searched google and came across his thread and thought wow,, i'll do that never looked back..

you should try taking cuts some time.. you'll enjoy it..! not too many tho as water becomes a pain in the back!

will be first time growing sativa.. never grown nl5 before. recently harvest nirvana NL which is curing now..tasting pretty good. after 3 weeks its very tastey! so only expect more from this since the seed was almost double in price.. let you know how it goes..

think its good to have the roots cooler. apparently if the cooler your roots the higher temps they can cope at canopy.. read somewhere.

Thanks mate, i will be trying it once i get sorted and i think it will come in handy for when i am picking through some hybrids i plan to make, i grow in perlite so i will just use hempy style for the cuts.
I have been inspired by vg to give breeding a lil bit of a go for personal use, i have always wanted the shiva skunk and it has just occurred to me i can make my own with a blueberry twist! Will hopefully be spraying some bud's with some ionic silver i have on hand, once i feel i have the info i need, still some searching to be done.

Oh first time growing sativa's no worries, you'll do fine mate. The nl is such a nice strain, the flavour for me is almost like bubble hash.As far as i am concerned, for our use's it is topshelf! Some very nice stress and pain relief, so yeh enjoy mate, it only gets better in the jar as you know!
The nl5 x haze sounds kick ass mate, hope it's as good as it sounds for you, from what i have read, it seems most strains crossed with nl creates a good hybrid

Make's sense, we try to keep our root's cooler so and most my buds been scrog, are in that sweet spot anyway. It was just something i noticed and had a mini freak out about, i will check it out but the devil is in the detail and my focus is getting chewed up big time with growing, so ima chill a lil! catcha mate, take care.

Greendream looks like your in good hands for advise mate. Hows everything looking at the min? Iv taken some pics but not sure how to load up on here cause i only use my phone to come on ic.

Verdantgreen i only top at the start when in germ room at 4/5 nodes and i do this well in advance before they are due to go into veg/flower room so not to have the same problem as the time when they hermed on me at last min after being topped. Just gives me a little bit of time to play with in case of any problems. Then lst'ed in veg.

what is this scrog mod concept of vg's? (il check it out soon)

Also what strains are people have good experience's with for scrog?

I know c99 is a good strain for scrog and iv just finished G13 Pineapple express witch im very happy with the results in scrog.

the modular scrog just means that the screens are individual for each plant and attached to the pot. this means you can raise/lower each plant/screen to give a nice even canopy.
not so easy in hydro but i have seen it done with DWC buckets to good effect
useful for running different strains together in scrog.

pretty much any strain that stretches a bit is good for scrog... running your cuts a few times means that you know how they behave and you can dial them in.

I get ya. I personal dont do it that way i just put up pea netting around the tent (1.2m x 2.4m) but i do know what you mean thou now.

All about finding that perfect keeper strain (nice veg/flower times, taste, potency and yield) for myself then working with like dreadlock said to the point you know everything about it

Hey toppin thanks mate yeh the help has been tremendous! Things are beginning to hit the smooth sailing part of the grow, i think anyways and hope! To be honest everyday seems touch and go, as still don't quite know what to expect, plus life atm has me quite vague which is not helping but enough of that. I think maybe having a journal up here with pictures might be beneficial, to have more experienced eye's monitoring my plants so to speak.
Umm struggling a lil with my res and how to properly maintain... I feel as if i cant keep the nute levels right, i only just got pens for this grow and since transition to flower, it has been hard to find a good level. I made a mistake and gave them to much ferts on the second res. And ever since then have been tring to correct by starting of weaker and working up... i am slowly getting it, but i am lil lost on topping up procedures?
So my question is, how do you top up your tank?
I started out by topping up with fresh water then slowly adding nutes until my ppm was the original value, i found this bad when i still hadn't found my stable nute strength. Atm, now to be safe i am topping up with fresh water and then every second top up i use 1/3rd strength solution ( add back 10 litres, 1.25 ml is a third of full stregth, so i will add 12.5 ml)
Ah well i look foward to seeing your pics when you do sort them out. I will keep an eye out! How is it all going btw mate?
I like the idea of mod scrog because i want to run perpetual in my tent.
Setting up screens in my tent is very awkward, i just have one big screen tied up with rope coming from each corner of my tent and tied to the roof for weight support making it hard to move around,mod screen would allow me to move more freely compared to having my net tied up from the corners of my tent, my 50 litre pots should support the mod screen nicely!
