3600 watt Flood & Drain in 1 gallons

Hi All,

Figured I would start a thread on what i have going on right now.
Since i don't see many people doing F/D with coco i thought it might be interesting. I have been doing F/D for a bit, and of all the ways i have tried this method seems to do the best for me. I'm open to all comments, and criticism. Trying to get this better dialed in.
This set up i am using right now is only 9 months old, an i don't have all the components i need yet,but am close.

So here is the basic room dimensions to give you an idea what i am working with. I will get some whole room pics soon.

Veg room__ 9' 7" x 12'
Bloom room__ 9' 7" x 14'

veg room has 4_ 2x4 trays with 4 bulb t5's over them. Also a 400 10k MH for the moms.

The bloom room has 4_ 3x6 trays with 6_ 600's

I am running 1 gallon rootpots with 85% coco 15% hydroton.

Ok. Here are some room shots to give you a idea.

Kind of hard to explain this, but ill try...
As you can see in the pic's all my hoods in the flower room are air cooled. the air is being pulled from the furnace room through hoods outside. like pulling air from the furnace room since that way no smell can drift into it!
I have a 1/4 horse chiller, and CO2 controller...just waiting on Livity gen to get here.
The first 2 shots are the veg, and second 2 are flower.

Nice setup, I use F&D while vegging my girls, they seem to like it but during flower I use flood to waste and had improved results.

Yes i see that people do dtw. i will do this round this way, an maybe next round try 2 out of the 4 trays dtw..

oh yeah never mentioned what i was running.

the big mom is dynamite, and i have a dozen of those also in the flower room.

had a major set back cause of damn mites!

Also have Hashplant x bluedream mom, afgan kush, and pineapple chunk moms..

What kind of lights are you flowering under? looks like ceramic metal halide? Very clean, looking forward to this.​

cool looks nice and tidy man.
do you find it hard to keep the ec and ph stable with the ebb/flow setup, do you find it changes much between cycles?
i have used a small recirculating coco drip before and found it tricky to keep things stable, i think the key might be to keep the ec slightly lower?

Ganjalove_ 600 MH conversion by ushio wish they had 600 cmh!
ppg_ running DM gold, hygrozyme, calmag, an silica.
TDlf_ I have a 40 gallon rez under each table. I go in at 5.7 an 1 ec...for flower.(to start)
since there only 40 gallons i have to top off at day 4, then go 4 more an drain.
ph comes out at 6.2 an ppm of 750..so ec almost stays the same.
With 600's i never hit more than 1.5 ec.

Have a lot of other stuff going on atm. I will get some more pics of the progress.

Ok, time for a update..

Been crazy busy which seems to be the normal. With 4 kids work n this...well no down time for sure. anyway to whats happening at the moment. Dynamite are 29 days in these pics. getting ready to fill up the rest of the trays here in a week or so. Finally getting back on track

Last one is a clone of the dynamite 22 days from cut...they took off like crazy!

Lookin good, updates?.. something I learned growing with halides and hps side by side, you'll def yield more switching to all hps. With the same resin production.

nice grow so far!

coco + flood tables = my preferred indoor method right now.

you and I run a similar setup, except i use two gallon grow bags, pack as many as i can into the tables, and veg for 1 week. I use House & Garden aqua flakes, IMO the very best nutes for coco recirc.

if you can find it, Botanicare's Readygro Aeration formula is the best coco for our purpose. it comes with lots of perlite and organics mixed in, can be flooded 6x per day easy.

I have tried so 2 gallons without much difference compared to 1's.
Maybe once i add the C02 it would make a difference.

Yes just running GH coco tek bales with some hydroton added. more of a pain in the ass, but cheaper.

Should have some quick pics up shortly to see whats going on in there.

Here are a couple pics...
Things are moving along. once i get the CO2 gen up an running a will take some better pics. But for now here we go..

The Dynamite are at 46 days..there getting there.

The other tray is moving along nicely as well with half the tray of Lemon skunk, and the rest are as i call my alphabet soup!
Got some seeds from a buddy that were freebies from attitude. well he threw all 9 seeds in one bag so i have no idea what they are.
The last pic is one of the freebies i had flower way before the rest.

Looking very nice, Greenlife1!! I didn't realize flood and drain was even an option with coco. I am just doing my first dtw with coco and really liking it. My prior experience was flood/drain recirc in hydroton and that went real nice for a few years.

Looks real clean in there!!
