I have the cheapest IR thermometer I could find on Ali Express. It works good enough for me. I'm sure the 3M or other name brand one is better. Mine was about $30 and the 3M brand is over $100; is it really $70 better? Probably not.
As far as the bucket shop vac goes... I have one and it is pretty janky, but it works. If I try to go suck up dry coco the filter is too coarse and it will just blow it all out of the top and all over. It is more powerful than the bucket is rigid and it has collapsed the bucket several times. It just looks like a aluminum can that got crushed by a ghost hand.
So for another recommendation:
Honeywell 3 speed fan
These fans are very good for the price. They do not oscillate, but they have 3 speeds and circulate air pretty well. You can get a Vantec Vornado fan that costs 3 times as much, but it is probably not 3 times as good. I probably own 7 or 8 of these fans and all of them are still functioning perfectly.

Ratchet Straps for carbon filters instead of bungee's
Behind-the-door shoe racks for holding bottles of cleaning supplies and additives and meters and tape measures and IR guns and spray bottles
reflectix works great on walls to reflect light, but it also works well for pot caps (to help evaporation and fungus gnats), shading cuts or nute bottles from direct light, and you can even fashion a quick and dirty mini room to control RH for drying. You can also line the room if you are worries about the fuzz doing a fly over checking heat sigs.
Grabber helps tuck leaves, nudge pots, hold hose,
Green glow flashlight. Has a very weak led flashlight and it can glow green(with or without the light) so you have a quick and easy way to sneak in the flower room with lights are off without disturbing the ladies.
caliber hygrometer, we've all seen this in the "curing your bud" thread, which it does well at, but having a bunch of these means you can put them at various places around your grow for spot checking temp and RH. I usually leave one velcro'd to the height of the canopy, as well as at the level of the roots.
Velcro strips are awesome to fasten most small items. I have these things attached to all of my hygrometers, pens/markers, small meters, my light meter, extension cord ends etc. Makes it easy to hang hygrometers around the room in different spots as well as my light meter to keep it out of the way.
I like the Blue Nitrile Powder-Free Gloves as I have short but fat hands that they seem to fit better than anything else. I use them every time I have to touch ANYTHING on the plant, as well as changing bulbs.(so I don't get any oils on them)
and last but not least, when its time to harvest
I don't really use this, but I've knocked my beer over more than a few times and have often laughed about wanting to get one of these.
It's actually not too bad for small amounts of liquid removal like runoff and such. However, I had to use it to change out a res recently, be warned that the vac motor takes up a lot of the buckets capacity, so it only ends up being about 2-3 gallons of liquid holding ability before it starts spewing out the the exit port.
Loving the ratchet straps idea, that would make installing big carbon filters with one man much much easier. I've been using the little light hanger yo-yos to get them up, it works but I wouldn't want to leave it hanging on them.
The door shoe rack is ingenious! Also as far as green lights go, I picked up one of those green LED headlamps (hydro store, I know, I know, but amazon should have them). It's invaluable. I almost never go in during lights on now.
Hell yeah, these honeywell fans are awesome for vert growers, I run the little ones (8" or so?) one under each bulb.
I gotta get me one of those infrared thermometers, that'd be great for taking leaf temps!
Never tried the buckethead but I love to have two of these around. One for wet and one for dry.
For those of us who grow hydroponically in micro set-ups I'd highly recommend 'Really Useful Boxes'. They make extremely sturdy storage boxes that don't crack or bend and come in a huge variety of shapes, depths and sizes.
I've been using their 9L tubs as a DWC rez and have had no issues with their durability what so ever. Just wish the solid black ones were available in my local HobbyCraft as ordering online is a bit pricey due to shipping costs. Nothing duct tape can't fix

with ya ak on that... always pick them up if i can find a sale..
run them 24/7 most of the time and get at least 18 mos out of them..i dont necessarily have the cleanest environment and i blow them out with compressor about 9 mos in... they are still going but i get rid of them when they stagger.. they mount anywhere... always have a couple rat holed and try to keep them stocked...
for measuring and dispensing large amounts of fertz I use a 60cc syringe fitted up with a length of aquarium hose to get down into the bottles.
the 60cc is the equivilent of 12 tsp so its quick, fast, easy and very clean mixing up 5-10+ gallons of fert solutions
or your rez.
i got box of 50 for $24 of the bay for my mycology doings.
also available at your local feed and seed outfit for about a buck or 2
used for injecting horses and other farm animals.
they have up 100cc syringes.
you'll never go back after trying 1 of these

I'm for sure going to be getting something like this in the future. I hate 'nute nights' with the pouring of each of the Fox Farms Trio nute bottles into a tiny measuring cup, multiple times per bottle, repeated with all 3 bottles for each gallon mixed. Glad to know these are out there. I think long term the solution I'm going to go for is a larger (5 gal?) tank with a dispenser nozzle that I can mix up all at once, then portion via the nozzle to gallon jugs. As it stands now, I mix then PH every gallon individually. Mixing a 2-3 week batch of nutrient solution and then pH'ing it pretty much kills a night.
One thing ive been using when filling 5gals worth of nutrient mix is graduated cylinders. I found them at a local school supply shop and they work wonders for larger measurements.
I got a 50ml plastic one for $3 and a 10ml plastic one for $2.

i have 35 and 50 spot cloning trays with 50-50 perl/verm mixture and when i 1st put em in i like to make sure they are watered from the top for the 1st 10-14 days. putting water into the tray doesn't quite make it to the upper regions of the hole.
the syringe make easy work of that, 20cc per hole does me fine

When running the Head formula it is pretty dead simple when mixing in a 10 Gal. 2 pump/shot glass Micro, 3 pumps/shot glass Bloom.

9mL x 5 Gal = 45mL (one full pump + 15 additional mL).
** in 10 Gal
it'd be 2 pumps Micro (60mL) , 3 pumps Bloom (90mL)
