Huckleberry Hound (PurpleberryBX*TreStarDawg) by Chron Inc.

Yes Demon, the Huckleberry Hounds you have are F1s. The female used was extremely purple, while the male had little to no purpling, However so far most females have turned out to have purple flowers. The ones that are green up until the final weeks have been the best smokes.

I can't tell much from your pictures, if you clean up your lens I'll give you a run down of which parent yours are taking after.

Hope these are a little better, I'll fiddle about with the setting to try to take a better shot. I couldn't find my camera for ages so it's a bit dusty and I'm still a bit vague on what setting it needs to be on for close up shots :p

Hmmm not quite worked it out have I?

But I think you can make out how purple they are and I do have a plan to try to fix it :p

Yes I can tell that they indeed are purple. If they have been purple from about week two on then they are more then likely mostly purpleberry leaning plants. The color trait does seem to come through later on most other plants, about week 7-8 at the latest.

I look forward to your next set of pics, third times the charm as they say.

Thanks :) I really couldn't be happier with them,

Big thanks to Tony for letting me grow them despite all the technical issues I've been having they've got the nicest purple buds I've ever seen :) really dark purple on one plant, more like pink on the other and both super crystally :)
I've got a few seeds forming from pollination with another indica, I'd like to make a cross from those back to the seeds I wasn't able to plant this time round :-S

and obviously try to really bring the unusual leaf characteristics out :) The cupping and decreased serration appeared on these ones just after flowering time began which would certainly help make them look less like weed :)

The roxanne's I had planted turned out to be males (what's the male name equivalent of roxanne?) but I'm excited to see some females in future too :) I have enough seeds left to do another better run at a diary when all the shit in my life settles down :-( so after the smoke reports (there may be a bit of a gap) I'll hopefully get back with germination rates and seedling (and maybe see if anywhere sells "budshot cameras" so there's less blur in future) ;-)

If your camera has a macro setting, or a super macro setting, that is normally how I take my pictures.

From what I can see you look like you're doing pretty well for yourself.

Anything going wrong for you? Any signs of intersex expression? Difficulty growing?

I'm looking forward to what you think about the smoke.

No intersex at all :) not a single "banana"

Have you had any hermaphroditism in them?

They're really good, very quick growing, thick stems growing on a very upwards trajectory, the one problem I had with the girls was with the one I pruned back most, it had some kind of problem with it's leaves when I let the grow area get too humid (some kind of leaf infection) which caused a bit of stunting of growth after that. It was my own mistake that caused that though and actually bud formation on that plant went really well.

My camera: I found a display that looks like it should be for setting the distance away from the object... just I can't actually work out how to change how far away it expects the object to be :-(

I'm looking forward to the smoke :-D

There is an occasional herm plant out of the bunch in these, but they normally do not show until 8 weeks or after. The ones that have hermed have been ready to pull by the time they threw male flowers so I would still be on the look out on your most purple plants.

Thank you for the good journal, Hopefully I'm lucky and you figure out your camera in time for me to see some good finished bud shots.

So Purple and Crystally but still struggling with the focus :-(

BullDogUK has some hung up and drying already and his camera seems rather better with close-ups :p

Since I'm making some seeds I'm waiting for most of the seeds to be ready before harvesting.
Think it'll be another week for them to be ready :)
The lower limbs are still blooming bigger and more purple, and they weren't pollinated so that'll be interesting :p

Also just got some bubblebags :) so hound hash should be on the way soon after :p

Just jar'd it up for curing today! Unfortunately it seems to be lacking any purple coloration besides some very small areas inside the nugs themselves. I've only chopped the top colas anyway so perhaps the lower areas might show some more promise :3

Thanks for the updates guys, can't wait to see some pictures of your finished meds.

What did you pollinate them with DP?

Thanks for posting that link DP! Great shots in your thread UK.

Here is a pair of males I'm holding back for F2ing the huckleberry hounds this summer
