tagging in!

how's the leaf curl issue?

did you spray em with Forbid or Avid at any point...?

When I received the clones I dipped them in forbid and then 3-4 days later I dipped them in avid.

Still seeing the odd leaf with some twisting. I'm going to do a heat treatment tonight just in case. Then I will have to decide if I want to do one more heat treatment at week 3-4 of flower or not???

OK i'm fairly sure the leaf twisting and growth issues we have both had are attributable somewhat to Avid/Forbid... i need to try washing it off before lights on. cause i treated plants with no signs of mites with Avid and boom 2 days later completely fucked growth like you.

So have you actually seen a live one? If not why you gonna go and stress em?

I saw a live bm on my last grow. The one where all my veg plants died. I figure do a heat treatment as a precaution now before I get into full bloom. Whatcha think?

The plants really don't seem to mind the hour of heat.

I guess I'd not do treatments unless I was sure of the pest. Have you seen any eggs? I know heat treatments not supposed to be too stressful, but I still wouldn't do it unless I was pretty sure I had some mites.

No eggs, no live ones, crazy amounts of chems and heat treatment already, so I think it's just more stress. And if you look at the phytotoxicity of of the chems you're using, it specifically says it looks like BM damage.

Do you think the twisting in the leafs could still be from the forbid even though plants received the forbid as a clone and are 20+ times the size now.

Lets see em

 fuck me. Your right!!!! Time for a update!! Lights just turned on, tomorrow when lights turn off I will snap some pics. I promise

I must say though, I think the plants look pretty healthy right now. A few leafs have those twists but other than that I'd say leafs have good color and look good. Did the heat treatment last night. Plants look completely unaffected by it. Noticed nice growth today. :tiphat:

So looks like the stars are finally in alignment for me!!! I will have 3 straight days off work this weekend and boy am I going to need them! Sunday is pretty much a right off cause of mothers day. But the other two days I can finally get some shit done. I will once and for all finally get my drip system up and running. Plus I have to take clones from these girls if I want anything for the next round. LOL!!! So this weekends tasks are pic up aptus nutes as they got delivered today:woohoo: get drip system up and running and take clones. Gunna be a busy one!!!

Will get pics taken tomorrow morning and uploaded. Thanks guys.....

You know setting custom white balance works really well :) Use a piece of printer paper directly under your bulb.

I just realized it has been almost a month since I posted pics in my own now-dead thread. I *promise* I will post everything I have tomorrow. I wanna see yours too LED!

I was going to suggest the same thing. I just point at a patch of Orca to set the white balance.

Comes out looking like this with the lights on. Nice and white.:)

I really know fuck all when it comes to cameras but I will have to try to figure out how to set the white balance that way I an take pics during lights on. Thanks guys.

Looking good third coast. You get a grow thread going yet?

Ya what the hell Romulus!?!?! Your worse than I am!!!! Update your shit already!!!! You get rid of your fungus gnats yet? You try the bio shark like I suggested?

You know I had a big fungus gnat problem last grow, an that was in the winter time!!! Now it's summer time, I'm using a medium that's always wet, and knock on wood, zero fungus gnats so far!!! I really think the combo of OG Biowar Tea and Bio Shark are what's making this happen for me.

I'm using a medium that's always wet, and knock on wood, zero fungus gnats so far!!!

This lost me LED.....I was sure that we wanted the tops of the soils to dry out between
waterings, to help control gnat issues. "always wet"....can you confirm and elaborate?

Thank you,

JD

My DSRL won't do white balance setting using the wall. No idea why, it's inches from where I hold the paper. I just got an older Cannon PnS for room only use, which I'll be using tonight. I'm definitely trying the wall first and will report back for fun :D

LED, shoot me your cameras model and I'll explain how to set the white balance. I'm not a photog but instructions for cameras are simple after playing with em a few times!

in coco you never want medium to dry out unless its beginning of transplant where you want it to dry some so the roots go searching. this is why guys growing in coco usually have more trouble with fungus gnats

most guys that run coco put a layer of hydroton on the top to help prevent evaporation and the top layer doesn't dry out. I didn't do that myself this round but may do it next round as the top layer is just starting to dry out on me but thats because I've only been feeding once a day. Once I get my drip system going this weekend and I am feeding plant 3-4 times a day the top layer will stay wet.

Finally some pics..... Canopy isn't perfect thats for sure but thats because I waited too long to get the trellis up. Lessoned learned, next grow will be ALLOT better!!
