Space Queen Bag Seeds (+ a Grapefruit)

Looks nice man, good effort.

Hey thanks, Tonygreen! Nice soil recipe there.

Since my last little harvest (including a catpiss OG Kush), something's been amiss. Yesterday my grow area is started to stink again...things are getting back to normal! I fed the two girls in flower yesterday. Tried not to give 'em too much nitrogen.

On another note, I gave some seeds to a friend earlier this year, and he has dutifully planted and nurtered two Kandy Kush kids. I got a clipping yesterday, so I'll probably start a new thread on that.

Fed all the girls on Saturday. I just love the way compost tea can froth up. The marbling reminds me of how the wort looks when brewing beer:

Speaking of beer, here's some Cascade hops coming up for their second year in this location:

They have been going crazy with the warm weather (70's) we've been having. I threw some compost on top of them and they've been getting the dregs of the cannabis waterings.

Space Queen #2 hasn't been put into flower yet. I have been LSTing her, and am trying to get more bud sites on the third branch. I messed up when I topped that branch, apparently.

SQ#2

SQ#3, smelling narcoticy, 3 weeks of 12/12 as of today.

Started sprouting pistels very quickly after inducing flowering. Good resin production. Finally slowed down the stretching; just 2" in the last week.

And my dark horse favorite, the Grapefruit Bag seed from Red Lodge, also 3 weeks into flower, slowin' the stretch, and poppin' pistels like Annie Oakley:

Seems to be a more copious resin producer than SQ#3. Mostly parsley smell, however. Maybe she'll be niiiiice and sweet...?

Thanks bean!

A quick update without pics:

Space Queen #3 and the Grapefruit have been flowering for 4 weeks today. Nice development, stretching is done, had some heat issues but everything's looking good now. The trichomes on the GF have developed faster than anything I've grown so far! Been feeding them every 3-4 days (compost tea, flowering regimen).

Got the A/C put in Friday morning. We have been in the 80's and lower 90's up here near Crow Country for the last 4 or 5 days. Looks like 70's today!

Space Queen #2 was put into flower on Friday.

Clones of SQ#2 and GF are doing well and reside in their little Lowe's buckets. I have managed to muck up all my other clones so far. The other day they got too hot and looked like boiled brocolli. In the clone area now are 5 basil clones (?!?), and some clones I took from a friend: White Widow, 3 Kandy Kushes (2 of one phenotype, 1 of another).

Grapefruit and Space Queen #3 bag seeds, day 30 of flowering.

That's the GF. I am very pleased with her. She didn't have much of a smell, parsley maybe, until lately (last few days). Has a citrusy smell, also a sickly baby poop smell or something. Lots of resin production. Crazy, wild-looking trichomes. Buds are putting on some mass. Fed both of these girls this morning with a compost tea (compost, water, molasses, high P bat guano, rock phosophorous, kelp meal) that's been bubbling for a few days.
Here's SQ#3:

Early yellowing due to heat. Got my temps down so they're looking happier!

Space Queen #2 went has been under 12/12 for a week now. I am pretty happy with the LST job I did on her. Lots of bud sites, and she's stretched about 4 inches so far.

And my backups of SQ#2 and GF:

And the growspace, lookin' pretty vacant. Moved all my garden stuff out to harden. Really rainy and dreary today so they're all in the kitchen. The babes are out bein' watered and photographed!

Thanks, guys! I'm pretty happy with these bag ladies. Here's Space Queen #2 at 15 days of flower. I'm feeding her more phosphorous since she's pushin' pistels :)

And still looking impressive, Ms. Grapefruit.

Smelling fuelly, baby poopy, sorta citrusy. She's a slower feeder than SQ. Coming along very well in her 6th week, 38 days. Thinking she's gonna go 8 weeks, but that's up to her!

And SQ#3 after a feeding, also at 38 days. She's progressing well, abundant trichome production and starting to smell...sweet? Some citrusy notes?

On to other news...really got turned on by http://gilcarandang.com/ and have started some of the fertilizer recipes. Some stuff I harvested down by the river:

Here's a bloom fertilizer I got going with squash, bananas and sugar:

Aaaaaaaaaaand some happy hop plants!

Here's a new bag seed, my buddy started. It's nice and stinky!

picture.php

picture.php

Here's the two Kandy Kush plants he started from my seed gifts a few months ago. Two phenotypes; the one on the left has thinner, more sativa-like leaves. The one on the right is a frikkin' monster. This pic is after he took 13 clones off her yesterday. That's the bag sprout in the middle.

picture.php

I have been trying to get my cloning dialed in. I took two clones from the sativa-ish kush. My two clones of the other one are surviving so far. The plant on the left seems to be suffering from a nutrient overdose. My theory is that my buddy put too much bone meal or something in the pot when he planted the seedling. He has been flushing it and most of the plant is healthy. We'll see how the clones do!

I did have two basil clones (out of five) survive, so I transplanted them tonight. They smell good, so I think they'll be okay.
Hope everyone's having a good season! :blowbubbles:

They both look great and smell even better!
Looking forward to more pics man.
Thanks KGB! A little update here, GF and SQ#3 starting their 7th week of flower (day 43 yesterday when I took pics):

There's the Grapefruit, here's SQ#3:

They are both citrusy in smell, with the GF continuing its (pleasing) baby poo smell. It must be my wishful thinking because I get whiffs of pineapple from SQ#3. My gf says I have bat guano in my belfry...

Here's Space Queen #2, comfortable in her trusses, at Day 19 of flower (3rd week). She was at 11" when I LSTd her down to 7". I'm happy to say that she's back to her original height, and then some! No standout smells from her yet.

And my two remaining backups, SQ#2a and GFa. Did some LSTing on SQ#2 to keep her short like mom.

Got the itch and had to pop a seed from the 12 Sagarmatha random seeds I ordered last year. Gave 5 of them to a friend and he has started germinating them. I'll start a seperate thread on this side project!
