I have 8ft ceilings. If I suspended this unit say 4ft off the ground do you think water would even collect below it? Thanks for answering all my questions bud I really like to research something well before I go and make a purchase!
Hat makes no difference to the output, I just have not got it on in this situation because it is such a small space it would be hitting one or two of the plantsAlso do you run the directional hat that goes on top of the unit or open top like in that pic? I would use the directional hat in my application
Nice healthy even canopy mate. How tall are they now (roughly).
Thank'sLooking good...
Glad you think so tooI also like to train plants to create multiple heads, single large colas are a pita when it comes to bud rot, also the lower buds are usually quite small in comparison. As you point out many medium sized colas are the way to go.
No doubt about that, where I am I do not need to worry about sentencing, the reason I don't mostly do TRUE SOG, Is when doing larger grows, getting 1000+ healthy clones is sometimes just not possible, but I DO love true SOG.Would rather run lots of clones (SOG) like 30 per 600w light, because I can't stand the time it takes to veg plants, Lol!! The numbers put a lil shiver up my spine since the sentencing guidelines were released not so long ago though
Never heard of them thank's for the heads up, you got a link?Started to use these plastic things called 'bendz' to get them into shape now, not sure if you've seen them at your hydro store or not, but they save the hassle of having to break necks daily and is also less stress on the plants.
Oh yer.... how the heck did you manage to get the 10" acoustic ducting to fit through the small intake openings at the bottom of the tent

Hey there GreenScience,
I've read a little about NFT, but not enough. Are there any threads you could recommend for me to get a solid understanding of the grow style?
Aside from that, I appreciate how clean your setup is. Everything looks symmetrical, makes me feel good inside, haha. The OCD is a blessing and curse!
Definitely subbed

Thank you mate, welcomeLiking a lot.......
No need to worry about sentencing aye, wow! I need to move to where your at!
True, clones are a pita to get hold of in such numbers unless your doing them yourself. Even then it's a headache maintaining so many.
Yes bro, here you go:

wow, great work on the NFT...
i don't see many growers using that style on here these days.... way to go!
Looking awesome man.
I always know someone is good at doing this when their rooms are so clean and you have everything meticulously set up.
That humid in veg is really interesting. I've heard people claim it makes them grow faster, but I have always been a little skeptical. Is there a scientific reason why these things do better in high humids?
Also you put your temp/humidity meter not under the lights. Maybe I'm just dumb but I always put my therm. directly under the hottest point of my light to see where the hottest point of my tent is. Like to keep all the buddies cool.
Stay safe man and thanks for posting. This site has become my bible over the last few years, and a LOT of people have great advice. When I checked other forums the discussion was never in depth or as detail oriented that I liked.
On here its awesome I can see what you guys do and just look at all your pictures and mimic my favorite set ups. I don't know how you older heads did this without the internet!
GS, thanks for sharing ....
BY the looks of things youve got your environment/room crisp,, its all in the roots!!..which u got handled by the looks of them beautiful colas.Gotta love s.o.g...
