I grew out Mega's GSC forum cut x UK Cheese, if that was really the male... Anyway, I called it "dirty girlscout". I sent a few packs into the server fund, and Mega got a donor tag. ha ha...

In the early samples I took, DGS3 was the winner as far as flavor and aroma are concerned. They're all fire, so its going to be hard picking a clear winner. GSC is a great breeder plant. I'm probably going to have to grow most of them over again to make a decision. Not to start another blumat fight... but I grew these plants with blumats, and some of the pots were heavier than others. Its really not a fair comparison of plant potential. Luckily I have clones of each and every one of them.

Dear Diary.
Day 2 of trimming. The box of buds next to me seems to constantly replenish, with no end in sight. As I pull the branches from the pile, the branches beneath are pulled up to the top, fluffing the pile of stems, leaves, and buds. It really dampens my moral, as there has been no visible progress made, other than the lb of trimmed buds on the other side of me.
Yesterday I went out and bought 2 new pair of scissors. The new scissors really seem to be making a difference. I've been dipping the tips in solvent to keep them moving freely. This helps to keep me moving along at steady pace. It would be nice if the people I asked to help me trim weren't working their regular jobs.
So here I sit... Alone. Trimming. Smoking. Eating. Its not so bad... but its going to be a warm day, and there's yard work that needs doing. I wonder if the lawn guy is going to show up? I need to buy a rake to clean up the sticks in the grass before he comes by. No time for that now... There's smoking to do.
I see myself in this position every 1-2 weeks from now on... and I really need to find some more dependable trimmers. Not really something I want to post an ad for on craigslist. What a dumb problem to have. Not something I really anticipated getting into this. 1lb= 1 day of work doing a final trim. There's only 7 days in the week, and I have many other things going on in my life. Luckily I've eliminated one of them temporarily. This should give me the time I need to find a solution to this problem...

For some reason some of the friends I've had help can't grasp the concept of precision pruning. They'd rather just take the side of their scissors and mow through it. Might work on some strains, but not these.

.... the never ending trimming but eventually you will get to the end worst thing about growing is the last part trimming

I'm not at the point of "way too much weed to trim" just yet... But I'm getting there. I need to nip this problem in the bud asap. Its worth it to me to hire this job out. Like getting my oil changed and having the grass mowed. Sure I can, but my time is better spent elsewhere.
I have had good luck when I do find a trimmer... I always tell them to leave more rather than take too much. I would rather give their work a once-over than have them hack the buds to bits. Especially like with this Headband, or USD. Straw dd is easy, nice indica golf balls and I can do more like 2lbs in a day.... Guess what I'm gonna grow the most of? Lol. Headband is just a vigorous bitch.

Yeah man I don't get paid enough to get every little bit... Haha... Or maybe I just value my time at a higher rate than other people... I want the end user to get the full experience of trimming the buds a bit while preparing them to be smoked. Its not just about getting high for everyone.
and I'm filling in a void, where sativas are lacking. If I had more competition, I might be more anal.
well atleast your lucky your trimming something i am months away as i shut it down as new place gets built so i germinated 1 seed of some S1 bubba kush close cut from original bubba i have been told
i got from a very good man on here that sent me some seeds looking forward to seeing what she does out door where i will take cuts and carry on indoor this fall here is a pic of what it looks like from another grower growing same seed... same batch... i really like what i am seeing wish me luck bro 24 hrs into germinating and its already cracked and sprouting

Wow what a slam at Bubblehead. I heard it was 1/2 hit is a coma hit and 1 hit is instant death to you and all your ex girls. Remember it was a mega burbank cross of death strain.

This weeks trip sucked... I have lots more water... but the pumps filling the elevated reservoirs weren't working. I'm kicking myself for only having 1 pump feeding each barrel. Redundant pumps just kept getting put off until I forgot about it I guess. I didn't have time to do anything this week thanks to life happening... So I just got the water moving like its supposed to, and adjusted the nutes. Everything else was straight with the plants. Though some were dehydrated, none died.
I had to change up the ducting... It was freezing less than a week ago, and 85F today. WTF is that shit. I think I'll take the plunge and go with sealed rooms soon. Should just be a couple more weeks and I'll have some spending money.
I only got off a couple shots of the main event. 3 weeks.
As for the newest super-elite Okra OG... After thorough sampling, back and forth through about 10 plants... I confirmed that DGS3 was indeed the winner in flavor/aroma and potency. It easily smells as strong as the SFV I've smoked. This plant didn't yield hardly anything. Maybe 1/2oz. Real leafy. I think I can do a better job of growing it, and get more swollen calyxes, less leaf. Its been a while since I went pheno hunting in seeds... Kinda fun, I miss the adventure.

Looks like that stuff was grown in "HARD MODE"!
Not huge buds, but looks like some frosty stuff. Let the party begin by cracking some seeds.
