Just caught up with your grow. Somewhere I read this was your first grow. Looks like you did some homework. Two thumbs up.

Wish I could advise but I just jumped in on your grow out of interest for the strain because I like its parentage and have heard good reviews.

I dont use PK 13/14, but they say to start at week3 because by then your plants will need it. Just continue to feed until flush, regardless of the length of flowering time.

Hello guys, ladies are flowering nicely :)

@Biosynthesis thanks for stopping by, when i first heard of SLH i was so excited that i immediately knew it will be the first strain that i am going to grow indoors. But you need to be ok with low yields, long flowering time, some pretty much fucked up phenos, stretching like hell and really LITTLE room for error (it is very easy feeder and you can overfeed in seconds causing lockout) So it is definitely not a beginner strain (which i am) especially not in hydro medium but i am doing my best and hoping to get some good results:tiphat:

No, where i live you cant get any clones and i am pretty sure that i am the only one in my country that grows SLH haha. These plants were all from seeds, i bought two packs with 3 seeds in each, all of them germinated but one of them was completely mutated so removed it others are pretty similar to each other except one of them has more indica characteristics. If you want to know more about phenotypes of slh look up in this topic https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=123794

Hey guys sorry for not updating for so long but i have been really busy last month. Plants are getting towards the end of flowering and i will start flushing them in around 10 days since i will leave them flowering as long as possible since i want to increase the yield of this low yielding plant.

all the pictures are 3 days old.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, i also love the colors. :D 4 out of 5 plants have now been harvested (plant no.5/sativa pheno 2 is still standing and lower buds from all 5 plants were also left flowering for another week or so to increase the yield as much as possible) the back row was wet trimmed but then i read the thread which said that dry trimming preserves much more smell and the buds dry slower which is also better for taste, smell and overall appearance so i will be dry trimming the front row. i am also going to use simon’s technique of curing because it looks promising especially for such a tasty strain.

@Reg Dixon
Box was built entirely by myself with some help from a friend it was quite a challenge since i was doing it for the first time. I think i did pretty good job but i also did some mistakes which i will correct in next round one of them would be holes in the walls for the cooltube hoses which should definitely be higher since they take out a lot of valuable space and light. I spent around 500 euros maybe more for entire box and equipment ( wood, pots, seeds, fertilizers, medium, ph and ec meter which were damn expensive, ventilation, filter and a lot of other small expenses) i already had lightning.

@redbeard909 the plants are still drying/curing and it will take approximately a month for accurate yield. But i am guessing it is going to be around 200-250 grams because super lemon haze is a very low yielder and this was also my first grow.

In the end i must say i am quite pleased with results. But i should have chosen different much less sensitive and much better yielding plant than super lemon haze for my first grow. I immediately fell in love with this strain when it was first presented in 2008 (awesome smell, taste and high) and promised myself that it is going to be first strain that i am going to grow indoors since where i live it is impossible to buy anything else than stinky "skunk" that makes you feel like piece of shit with no energy. But when you actually start growing it downsides start to appear like incredible nutrient sensitivity, very unstable phenotypes ( my garden looked almost like i would be growing 5 different strains) and of course very low yield. But in the end i still managed to get quite decent yield and A grade bud with awesome colors which is not bad for first time grower.

Next round will be 4 power plants (dutch passion, awesome yield, very stable, sativa what more can you ask for? :woohoo:) in diy DWC system which i am building right now since hand watering coco was just not practical for me. i will open new thread in hydro section soon.

I am also going to post some after curing photos and smoke report in this thread in a month or so :)

first round after 6 days of drying ready for cure!

Hey guys :) final yield was around 370 grams(big and small buds) which is much much much more than i expected :D that is 0.73 grams per watt which is quite an awesome ratio for SLH. The end product smokes very nice. Bud tastes "earthy" with a slight hint of fruit and some nice skunkish smell.... i was really hoping for some lemon candy tasting bud but it just didnt happen fuck it better luck next time i guess:)

Bad ass first grow sir :tiphat:

Welcome to ICMAG!!!!

I think you are being hard on yourself. You did a marvelous job and that smoke must be dankiezz!!!

Don't let go of the SLH its a good plant and if you kept up with documenting your grow - you can probly dial in the pheno you liked, if you cloned it, with the next grow.

Link us the to the new thread!

:good:
