I meet subcool once upon a time on the west coast. He gifted me some beans and alot went hermie but he did warn me they were not his best sales stock. Like people said I think his strains are not very true breeding which sad to say is like an important factor for a breeder to consider before releasing a seed line...

Vortex - will not be a commercial strain but TGA states medium yield,
outstanding very dank super potent -get it ! The stinkiest of the stinky, odor control challenge. Easy to see this winning a contest, it is a must have.

Agent Orange- all this talk of huge pheno hunting TGA is over mentioned, most standard ( and fem) seeds these days will take some sorting.
Agent Orange, had only one seed which turned into a female and....damn, the finest Orange strain I have ever had( I have tested them all), better than Cali O or any others . Incredible smell, great taste with Jack the Ripper potency. no more phenos needed , got " lucky" apparently.

My one Agent Orange plant grown from seed smells incredible! It´s like orange candy. Hope the smell transfers to the taste, but ít´s very promising already

HAHAHA, I third that! I got a five pack. And do to user error, I ended up with only one viable female and its real nice. It's not a sour diesel, but its potent. More potent than the chernobyl and a13bx. And the trichome production with the agent orange is very high which is the case for all the tga strains that I've grown. But the AO has been sickest in that category.

I have two different vortex females that I'm running now...First time the phenos actually seem the same...the only difference is one rooted faster and stank earlier. I can't wait to see how they smoke!

Out here, lots use the AO for tinc, hash, budder, butter, etc also because of what you mentioned. In Subland.

Like someone said..its more like re-releases of older lines...or inline f-gens and slight hybs at best...so with that said..remove TGA and sub from the picture and the Plants/Lines used are prety damn good...but even when I look at my runs its a 50/50...which isn't bad for any % on a seedmaker really IMO..
Far as strains we've run and greatly enjoyed..

Subcool and TGA have gotten so popular because he very openly flaunts it. Rather than most seed companies/breeders that have some degree of discretion. Has merch, various forms of marketing.... gotten into the "mainstream" grow scene.... and he's involved in his customer base.... with his YouTube channel, in-person seminars etc. And spends a large amount of time spreading the word and teaching people how to grow. One thing is for sure, he is indeed very passionate about cannabis and there are surely some keepers amongst his gear.

I obtained a cut of Qrazy Train that is very nice that I've grown before and am growing right now... good potency, nice vigor, awesome unique smell and taste. Just about to chop some QT that filled half of my 4k room this weekend actually. Along with a few Plushberry and JTR phenos that came from a couple of 5 packs. Some of which are very nice, some mediocre. I can give a full opinion once they are chopped. Facts about TGA is that there is definitely instability... I might have a keeper or 2 out of 7 females.... BUT LOTS of variation. I will surely keep one Plushberry pheno, maybe 2, very nice to grow and smells amazing. Just have to see how it smokes. Don't believe I'll be keeping any JTR... horrible bud structure on the phenos I got and possibly some ninja Hermie action, found a seed forming in one of the colas. Altough very frosty and an awesome aroma coming from my JTR phenos. I've smoked much more TGA than I've grown, mostly a couple different phenos of Querkle and Qrazy Train, which I can easily say is some great herb.

One thing I don't like about Sub is he does spread some misinformation at times when it comes to growing. Also, his pride is a bit more abundant than it should be. Compared to the breeders who have done real WORK... growing thousands of plants, stabilizing and selecting traits etc, he is a pollen chucker. Undoubtedly.

He has indeed done quite well for himself, I will give him that. Theres a large amount of TGA fanboys out there who grow only TGA and nothing but... and spread his word like wildfire. I just wish those individuals would realize theres more to life than TGA.

All that being said, you will find keepers, but I can't say how frequently. I can post some pics when I'm back at my laptop.

Hmm all I can say is I toss one plushberry in for giggles a while ago and grew up to be very nice male....I introduced the young fella to a pretty little beyond the brain girl....the seeds are comming along nicely but I won't know what the kids are like yet......I'm still holding 9 of the plush berry and have a 10 pack of the a13bx...I'll keep my fingers crossed...all nine of them.Oh that male was the fastest male stinkiest male I've had in 20 years of dirt farming only time will tell.

What was the lady in the Plushberry cross? With my 4 PB ladies I have on day 53 right now, I can say that there is definitely some nice traits and variations amongst the strain at this point, albeit a lot of variation... I've heard of nanners popping in the PB but 2 of mine are pretty much finished and I've seen no sign.

I'd like to see some more A13BX.... lots of hype there.

The main purpose of a breeder is to find traits and reinforce them in the offspring so they breed as true to the traits you want as possible. If you don't do this and your offspring are "50/50" you are not really a breeder just a hobby hybridist.

I was wondering that too, but he uses the same male for most of his crosses so it's hard to fuck it up.

The that I female is a Mandela beyond the brain......so far she has been fast growing and prolific in flowering...I have some photos from this afternoon that I will post after the kids are in bed......I am extremely pleased with the beyond the brain plant so far.

I only have experience with JTR, smoked way, way, way more of it than I'd like to admit via another local grower. The experiences ranged from, "Jeeze I should feel higher than this for just having smoked 5 grams" to straight up zero-headchange shit. Terrible fucking strain, he ran it so much because it was pretty and yielded well. If you are interested in the game of pissing people off with horrible potency grow out as much JTR as possible.

As far as tga, it's a group of breeders...The youtube room is not the primary breeding room...Sub is the founder and main spokes person, but others are growing out more strains and slinging more pollen.
