I'm trying to get there with sour d right now.... in the picture of your manifold that's in each rez I don't see any sprayers or holes... how does it work?

looking dope!

Thanks Chunky!

That pic was taken before i drilled the sprayer holes. Each manifold has 16 red sprayers.

little sog update @ 24 days.

Topped out at 3 1/4 sir ;)

The reason why I asked was I think if you are going to run 1200w over that amount of space your reflection needs to be improved.

If you are giving less watts/sqf than popular opinion supports (I have done it tons) then you have to make sure that none of your precious watts are lost. Reflect that bitch with orca and tell me your yields don't significantly increase. Wont cost you more than 100 bucks to do that whole sog.

After this run i just might do that. Those hoods i got are huge, i wonder if i just build a tunnel, but still use the hoods it would work to up the yields?

Yea I definitely think just building a tunnel would improve things. If I look at the sides of my tunnels I can barely do it without having the close my eyes.

Now... you know I am gonna hassle you about building the top reflector because...

You will notice you have less issues with heat because those metal hoods are like heat traps that just keep all of that radiant heat trapped there.

But the main reason is because all of those hood and popular market reflectors use mylar based reflection which will result in specular reflection. A significant amount of the light actually stays in the reflector itself.

The orca liner will result in diffuse reflection so all of the light will be bounced away from the panel but be kept in the tunnel.

These two pictures are great demonstrations.

Notice the area above the lights. ALL of this light is being shoved back down on the plants whereas with typical mylar based reflectors you are losing tons of light to a "hot spot"

Notice the side panels. Look above and below the top reflector on the sides to see exactly how much light you are saving. So even if you skip the top reflector look how much light you save by just doing the side panels.

Bare bulbs and reflectix/prodex/orca on walls and angled ceilings where the room itself becomes it`s own air-cooled reflector is what I ran with my ebb and flow bucket flip rooms with dialed results for several yrs....

Just wasn`t a tunnel/gable end design but rather angled on all 4 corners in the rectangle for a "hip" design ftw......

3-600`s mounted vertically instead of sideways with the angled ceilings bouncing lumens up , down , and all around the grow area....anyways....

FHC...Respect....Keep doin what you do.....Horizontal reflectors are waaaay easier than all that DIY shit I`m used to , so it`s all good my buddy.......yields increase with repeated run in any setup....

Peace....Freds....:ying:.....

Do you have to get inside the root zone during the flower cycle to do any cleaning of the sprayers? I run the red ones on my cloner and I get roots clogging them up sometimes.... do you use filters?

Thanks for the pics. I noticed that you used 1000 watters in this tunnel.. and i will probably go with that to at some point if the 600's dont perform. Orca sounds like a good product.

Iv'e been running these ezclone sprayers for about 4 years and iv'e only had a couple clogs, and that was from some leaves that got inside. If one does happen to clog then there are 15 others that will get the job done. I never open the lid. I do have a port hole i can lift up and see the roots, and i check them regularly.

Just wanted to say orca is a great product! Bldswttrs and myself have done testing with light meters to prove it. Oh and the sog....... :respect: is all I have to say about that
