I know it has been gone over before in this tread, but I have a question that I would love answered. I know you can buy plastic that is UV rated and has filtered light and all that, but my question is, can I just use regular plastic for my hoop house? Just some home depot 2 mil plastic? Thanks everybody, fantastic weather coming up this week in Nor Cal, enjoy the weather everybody.

yeah they call it 'one year' around the triangle for a reason....you get about one season (if your lucky) before the UV from the sun decides to destroy the plastic and turn it itno a crumbly bumbly mess...

that being said I know of a few farms that use one year just in the spring, they clean it, fold it up nice and store it in a dry dark place...they have gotten a few springs out of those tarps...but yeah more than one full summer and its toast

The NutriRich pellets work really well too, also from stutzman. Theyre sawdust free...the sup r green is nice if youre using bagged potting soil because it well help with the C to N ratio and increase the humus content.

Good info hear guys, I've been learning a lot from the thread. Here are some pics of last year, grown in sandy/loamy soil within the alders.
1- devil 2-devil 3-skunkberry

I've got some seed started that are sitting in a window
Nepalese x KC33/afghani F1 and skunkberry mix

with some even bigger strains to come!
(Nepalese x KC33/afghani) x (??? x green spirit/god bud) F1
freezeland x texada Skunk/Durban skunk

Also I remember seeing a giant 5-6lb? plant grown in cali? but I cannot seem to find it in this thread? does anyone remember seeing this as well?

That describes most plants posted in this thread. Not sure what plant you may be talking about, remember a strain name?

I was thinking it was a trainwreck cut, but there was a TGA trainwreck or something a few pages back? This thing may have even been 10lbs it was literally 15-20 square feet and giant among cannabis plants.

This? page 367 post 5495 That picture is in Sept also, I would guess some other pictures of the Timewreck are in this thread closer to harvest.

sorry I didnt differentiate between the two, that was the timewreck but this was before that and was a monster about 3 times the size of that baby.

Not sure if this is what you're referring to, but here is the Trainwreck cut flirting with ten pounds in Nor/Cal, I remember it being a little under, like 9lbs-10oz or something like that.

Here's the average state of things here currently, a 1k mh coupled with an electric heater in the greenhouses has assured no checks in growth thus far inspite of the snotty weather. Near block Berry White, rear block Maad's Dream cut, on the floor in the background the old TrainWreck clone recovering from sitting in trays for too long. Off to the races. -T
