No I'm not zam. He was an influence on my thinking when I first joined here though and I always loved his avatar...so I shamelessly stole it.

so... anybody still using Brix Mix foliars?

I have some left over from two years ago, but I would love to get my hands on a fresh supply. The dry part might be good still but I am writing off the the two gallons of liquid I have left over...

Is anybody mixing up big batches? I'm a bulk buyer at a reasonable price.

Here is a list of ingredients: Ingredients- Proprietary blend of Earthworm Castings and ingredients necessary to restore the natural and productive relationship between soil and plants. This product contains stabilized beneficial soil microbes, nutrients, minerals and trace elements to develop a healthy soil to produce healthy plants.

When I bought this product I got it from a worm soil farm. The guy was super knowledgeable and he recommended this product after I told him I was concentrating on high brix gardening. He also recommended using this product as a foliar spray, but you can use it as a soil drench.

Ive been just adding each part of the wet to my tank in the right ratio and then spraying. Its a lot easier than keeping the concentrate around.

Keeping 13 ingredients around and mixing them together every week is easier than using a concentrate? I fail to follow your logic.

I will dig around for the recipe. It's an old product from PVGS, discontinued in 2010... They gave out the ratios when they stopped making the product...

Sorry to change the subject but Ganja Rebel hangs out here sometimes and I have been watching Seedbay for some of his Blue Dream BX....did I miss the opportunity to pick some seeds up or have they not been released yet?

A lot of the stuff in the wet is redundant. Ppd, kelp, malt, molasses, fulvic, humic and flowable sulfur was getting the same results. Your milage may vary. I posted the formula in this thread maybe 2 years ago now.

BlueDream bx is all sold out for the moment. Here is GRS subforum, start a thread or ask in a thread already started. GRS visits his sub forum quite often, and can better answer your question. Good luck.

P.S. Some blue dream bx x 5g's still up on the bay. The 5g's is super fire.

Veg n out, Nomaad - This what you were thinking? Found another persons quote, but it seems like the same product.

this is the recipe that PVFS sent me if you would like to make your own......

The following are the proportions of ingredients we used in our Brix Mixes

Feel free to change the blend to suit your needs and the availability of the ingredients. You do not have to use every ingredient for the mix to be beneficial. For example: if you don’t have Phytamin 4-3-4, you could sub a liquid fish or a dry fish powder, like HFPC hydrolyzed fish. If you prefer, you can use a liquid kelp extract in place of maxicrop. If you don’t have a trace mineral deficiency, you can do without the MB powdered chelates. Keep in mind that kelps, such as maxicrop, do provide some trace minerals. If you don’t have access to a liquid sulfur, just leave it out of the blend.

Liquid Brix Mix

16.5% Molasses

16.5% non GMO pure Malt

25% Phytamin 4-3-4

24% Humax

16.5% liquid sulfur

1.5% Therm-X 70

Dry Brix Mix

13% Maxicrop

19% Fertall MB Powdered Chelates

31% Powdered sugar

37% Diamond K soluble Sulfate of Potash

When you get right down to it the micros in the Brix Mix are what is important. There are some excellent amino chelates out there...or you could chuck enough glacial rock dust or basalt or just micro sulfates in the mix to make foliar not needed in the first place.

I really like basalt...get some paramagnetic properties going on.

You can't give them all the corners to the puzzle, it makes it too easy. :tiphat:
