OrGnKiD put out a xxx og / triple og. A cut he found from his many s1s. The cut has been around for a while probably 04-05, one of the first ogs with a added tag. Supposedly named xxx because those guys loved watching porn. I have one finishing up right now, I'm quite impressed

It has all the telltale signs of an og cut and it is legit. The reason it looks so bushy for an OG is bending and topping. Tastiest OG cut out there. Unbelievable afghani taste that lingers. I started a thread on it. In my opinion its the tastiest OG out there just not the stoniest, but straight fire none the less.

Hey guys wanted to check in and give an update on my dud problem as this might be able to help someone else...

It looks like I have root aphids.

I had scoped my coco on three different occasions and never spotted anything but last night I dropped some cut potatoes on top and was able to find the aphids on the potato slices. Sooooo small. I never saw any fliers in the room or anything on the plants either.

I kind of walked into a perfect storm of first dealing with the broad mites, having had past experience of sour double duds (and this looking just like them), and missing the aphids on the scope. It has been a very costly mistake and am barely squeaking through on my feet. This has been quite humbling. Thank you for the help and input. I'm thankful for our community. Peace.

I noticed that gnat larva really like sprouting cannabis seeds since moving to southern California. If you ever see some seeds that seem to fizzle out, take a look at the taproot and you will see 1mm worms munching on your shit. I keep my domes completely sealed now and rarely refresh the air now because I'm paranoid -- fungus gnats love laying eggs on the damp sowing medium.

barely visible white things with black heads on a slice of potato? sounds like you've got gnat larva to me. knock em down with permethrin. shut em down with gnatrol.

aphids are pretty big compared to most other cannabis pests. they will appear as a)ant-sized creepy-crawlies on your roots, b)hard waxy cocoons on the surface of your medium, and c)agile fliers that will avoid you like a housefly rather than gnats which just buzz around blindly around the medium and in your lights. aphids will more probably kill your plants than cause them to dud.

anyway is this maybe an infirmary issue?

and the adub

i can't recall ever having actually been angry with a plant before, but after a long night of wrestling her stinkless buds from my trelisses, i proceeded to bury my adub mom in a hole in the ground. i wouldn't give those genes away.

I asked my buddy to post that in this forum... Many people on here have been struggling to figure out the dud issue. He was having similar issues, and his desperation de-lurked him after a couple years of silence. Turns out he had root aphids ( phylloxera, maybe? ) but not the larger black kind that look like spiders, he has the little ones that are very very small. They are just about the size of a piece of finely ground coco, which makes them very difficult to spot - he had to look 3 times to find them, but they were there all right. And they certainly can cause the symptoms that we've been referring to as the dud. I suspect that many people who had issues with duds actually had these tiny trespassers, but they didn't see them.

So, if you have what you consider to be a dud, you should stare intently at your medium. Smack the side of the pot to get them to move around a bit, that makes it easier. And if you see nothing at first, just keep staring in the pot. The answer to your mystery might just reveal itself, and you will feel tremendous relief when you can finally pinpoint a culprit. Plus, you might get some piece of mind knowing that your plants are fine, - the problem is your medium. I'm not going to drone on and on about it, as there's an ample thread in the infirmary, but I will say that many brands of coco, soil, and rooting plugs do come contaminated with the little bastards, and the answer is imidacloprid...

Wow indeed! Angry wrestling match, huh? That doesn't sound like a fun trim job. You didn't mention anything about the effects though...I'm wondering, how was the smoke? ( Personally, I don't think I could feel angry after I hit the Adub... )

Same way I felt about the adubb I grew, in fact there was so little smell that it even smelt like hay unless you squezed the nug supper hard then you got a faint diesel og smell ..Then I saw the buds of adubb they were offering at the cup and thought to myself I either fucked it up big time or I got hosed completly and got a bunk cut.

Dt7 is kool if you like ether paint thiner smelling herb (not my thing) but that high doesn't live up to the smell. High is mild if your asking me, id rather smoke blue dream or green crack..

Since were on the subject

i hope i did get a bogus cut. mine looks the same and came from the same place as a lot of the legit ones (which is a clone mill, admittedly). i can also rationally exclude mites, verticillium, aphids, etc. as culprits. i'm open to trying one directly from someone who has flowered theirs and says it's the business. can't speak to the effects as i'm on smoke hiatus at the moment, but that will be over about the same time that the adub has gotten a good jar cure, so maybe it's just as well. it's not even dry enough to get a second hand report yet.

dubtech smells like a sour wet dream. acrid and biting like it should carry a prop 65 warning label instead of SB420. it's not quite as pretty in the jars as i expected it would be from looking at it growing, but i ain't bitching. all reports on the effect are that it's solidly potent but not a destroyer by any stretch. we'll see if they get burned out on it in a week or two. you can get burned out on anything though.

the gems from this run were exactly the ones you'd expect. valley, diablo, and the forum cut. before they're even dry (let alone cured) folks want them for more than i thought herb was going for in CA these days. i'm pleased with that.

for yield, running time, and overall crowd appeal, that purple bubba / fire faux-g is still the hands down winner in my stable though. only minus is that it waxes up dark and goopy. and that's from top notch looking trim and popcorn too.

but i'm withholding judgment until i run that gorilla glue and another supposed top-notcher that i've had on my radar for a minute now.

that indoor dt7 doesn't look that much different than my sun grown dt7.

No one likes the smell of adub from the jar. fine by me. shit hits ,me like dabs.

How the fuck did i get unsubscribed?...user error i guess. I've been so busy with the new job i didnt even realize there were multiple new pages of dankness going on.
My Black Dogs are @ week 4 now. I'll get some picks up soon. Out of the 8 phenos im testing this round 2 or 3 seem to be raising to the top.
Glad to see everyone doing their thing!

Ace Pure Purple Haze at 24.5 weeks (171 days!). Still flowering but pretty and getting closer. Figure another 3 weeks before everything seals up, I think "200 Day Haze" has a ring to it.
