what's up nature lovers! long time no see, uh?

gotta work hard now as the get baked and go fishing thread is catching up fast with almost 50k views while this humble NLT has only little over 60k hits ;)

This little bird was trapped between the window and the shutter/jalousie of my sleeping room. Godthanks :mad: in the morning, so I could let him free and he hadn´t to die.


And yes, I have to paint my wall,..........

These are pictures of a mixed species spawning swarm, laying eggs and fertilizing them in a mound of gravel\rocks on the stream bed. The orangish-red fish are breeding male Scarlet Shiners, and the larger grayish fish are Central Stonerollers :biggrin: They get the name from the habit of moving the rock with their heads and mouths to build the mound; in the second photo you can see one picking up a rock. The other fishes just take advantage of it. These are old photos and if I remember correctly there were a few other species here also, but I can't remember for sure. These were taken from a bridge with a 75-300mm zoom lens.
