Im working on uploading pics.. time consuming to say the least. Im adding extra pics with more details since I have to go back and do it anyway might as well make some improvements while Im at it. So something to chew on til I get caught up. Here are some pics leading up to harvest. I went ahead and waited to chop as Veg and Burn1 suggested. I was not disappointed. 101N did throw some nanners late in the game but none opened far as I could tell. Increasing the light was a good choice IMO, these buds are some of the tightest and frostiest Ive ever grown.. @ day 55 and 56 :)

Can't speak for FE, but we use the Peppermint at 1-2 tblspn per gallon. The mint family in general is good for pest maintenance.

Those 101's be swole FE, nice job man.

Yes, Peppermint Dr. B's

They have unscented too if you were in flowering... 1oz per gallon for maintenance and 2oz per gallon if you got live enemies crawling.
I dont use anything else. If you have bugs use it every three days. I recommend doing it just before lights out, dont worry about mold the stuff is waay alkaline, rinse the following day. If you dont rinse you may notice some leaf wrinkle after a few applications, leaves begin to look like they are drying out. I got this from "Fillthepotmore" He uses it with yucca and an atomizer..Although I have to say at least when I tried it in flower, I lost trichromes, enough to consider. If its lose the plant or lose some trichromes then you know what to do. Also I was using a pump backpack sprayer so that may have been the difference vs the atomizers light handed fog application.

From:"Fillthepotmore"
I recently added this post to the, "Growing Big Plants Outdoors" thread...

Dr. Bronner's = Eradication of Mites? We shall see!
"Insecticidal soaps are a rather mean way to kill mites. Derived from organic soaps like Castile soap, insecticidal soaps kill mites and other plant pests by compromising their cellular integrity, causing cells to rupture and die. In other words, insecticidal soaps dissolve the spider mite from the inside out, slowly turning them into mush.

I came across this information concerning the dreaded Spider Mites last evening... Apparently Dr. Bronner's Soap should do the trick... (Coincidentally, my wife picked a new bottle up today)... Farmers add canola oil as a wetting agent; plus, garlic and jalapeno peppers as a compounded deterrent (I apply this on rock borders to detour slugs, goats, dogs and other pests around garden beds on the Islands). However, I'm going to add Yucca with the recommended 1TBS per quart or 2oz per gallon of soap to water and do a tester spray this morning on a small mite colony recently found on a Blue Dream tree. The Blue Dream has another month until it will be ready for harvest. If it doesn't damage the plant then I'll be bringing the atomizer to the forefront and introducing the "soap" solution this weekend!

UPDATE: I applied the Dr. Bronner's Soap and Yucca potion to the Blue Dreams that had had visible signs of Spider Mite infestation... And it worked wonders! In fact, I ended up applying this solution three days in a row. It didn't harm the plants a bit, while diminishing the signs of the Spider Mites significantly. As a safety precaution, I ended up atomizing the entire Blue Dream Blvd. A note of caution: I wouldn't apply Dr. Bronner's "Peppermint" Soap if harvesting within a week or two for the peppermint essential oil and the soap compounds could effect the texture, flavor, and smell of your flowers. However, if harvest is beyond two weeks the Bronner's soap should have plenty of time to wash off and deteriorate in the Fall weather.

"The recipe for Insecticidal soap is 1 teaspoon of real soap, not a detergent, in 1 quart of water. You only need about 1 percent soap solution to be effective and you do not need oil or anything else. What makes the insecticidal soap effective is the fatty acids from the animal fats the soap is made from which is why you need real soap and not a detergent. Those fatty acids dissolve the target insects exoskeleton so they dehydrate."

i got mites about 4 or 5 years ago, but was able to eradicate them. i battled and lost many, but i won the war...made me very proud really b/c soooo many had said, once you get them, you will always have them and i had watched many people "maintain" as if this is a regular "problem"

these things are a small ninja army that doesnt know quit.

i own a health food store, therefore i have access to the bronners all kinds on the regular and i always reccomended it to people b/c of the way it seems to really help the solution stick to the plant and does a 2nd to none job at breaking down the neem and emulsifying it into a form that the plants can really use.

strange to think i got rid of my problem b/c of just the bronners, thos ethings are not defeated until drastic attention is paid... but i know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the unscented is the best/cleanest ingredients soap on the planet imo

Regular maintenance ie IPM or Integrated Pest Management is the only way to remain free of pests. An ounce of prevention ...

you gotta be kidding me!!!!

amazing ladies!! imma read this thread fully, then friend you, then come spy on you via google earth father earth, cuz i want what you got.
lmao.

seriouisly, ill be suckin the K from your left lobe incessantly. sorry about that ahead of time, the small bit of pressure you are feeling on the side of your dome, is just me with my teeth sunk in.

Top Shelf Dank Medicine:tiphat:

imo i think most of the prevention is overrated unless you are trading clones around...i understand your point on prevention, but this is not a virus, this is an infestation. the infestation was, and is most commonly started via clones not put through the proper steps to varify cleanliness. i havent gotten a clone in years....and i havent had bugs. fingers crossed.

i still do some of the same treatments...neem/protek/bronners if i have xtra time after transplant...and right at the beginning of flower. i feel like these 2 treatments get the plant ready to start taking off.

usually ill mix the above seperately, then add my aact to that and spray. :ying:

This run wasnt so much about how many per light as it was filling the footprint with my allowed amount of plants. Maxing out light potential with my legal numbers by not wasting space on walk ways etc. All areas of usable light were utilized. Also seeing if I could get the awesome results I saw outside with using LOTS of dirt, more than most people ever imagine using for 1 plant.. With the pot, at chop time the tallest was around 6ft a lot of them were closer than 24" to the light, some of them got light burn from this but I ran out of room to move the lights up. As far as the yield, I aim for par, and for me that is 1 gram per watt of light used. ;)

well ur doin more than somethin right!!! shit is looking dank!!

how much dirt ya talkin??

Some mung bean enzyme tea brewing per CC's recipe
I used this right before the plants were put into the large beds I used alfalfa sprouts and the week before flower I used mung sprouts.
I tried making a similar tea using 1/4c chia seeds and it didnt turn out too well and smelled horrible had to toss it...the chia seeds didnt sprout btw..
Although I have a hunch the gelatinous material they make when soaked would make a great surfactant..

I also do this, except I ferment them with lactobacillus which I grow in milk. It kind of makes me feel like a shaman or wizard or something, haha!

Running a side-by-side grow testing them out.

Post number 4 talks about how much dirt I use...

I am currently mixing 2 yards at a time which equals one 400 gallon pot, using kiddie pools for mixing bowls.

So total almost 6 yards in that room...

Hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I did. Next run will be in a much bigger place if all goes well. I still plan on cramming it full :p Since unforeseen circumstances are forcing me to move I cant keep these beds running no till and all. I have considered bagging it and taking it with me though just because.. So since Im not doing another run I figured it best to take all the fully developed tops and leave anything that looked like it could fill in or mature more. There was a lot of bud in that canopy. More than I thought was possible to be honest. Sometimes when chopping colas out it would seem like a magicians never ending handkerchief trick, like where do these buds keep coming from?! Next time I think it would be wise to screen the whole thing. There would have been so many more giant tops. I found lots of half developed ones lying horizontal in the canopy some just took nose dives in and were hiding. The whole canopy was leaning against each other Id chop one cola and find three more hiding or using the one I chopped for support. All in all it was good, but it can get waay better. So anyhow I left lots of little buds and scrog'd the leftovers. Gave it two more weeks to fill back in, aiming for maybe 4 more units out of the leftovers... we will see :)I got a load of pics I need to dump off before we can move on, so here it goes. ................
