Casey Jones Grow Along

Hmm... Can't say it's like the colored cut... She's not the fastest in veg, but certainly not slow by any means either...

Quick growing, hollow stems, vibrant green... All points to a thai/tw leaner from the casey side... I've seen those thai leaners just dominate other casey plants and crosses... Such quick growth

Early maturing?? No idea, especially with the 12/12 from seed as I don't know how either react to that... Could be some sour bubble goodness passed in there... Sour b likes lots of leg room for her roots and makes those nice dense stalks... But if she's outgrowing all the rest, she's obviously unhampered by any sort of restrictions, so who the fuck really knows!! One of my sour b females from the original sb x cj cross (not cj/sb ix1, the generation before) would throw out reduced fingers and start stacking tight nodes like she wanted to flower when rootbound, but I'm just guessing here...

Man, if she has the vigor and growth of the thai, with the potency and fast finish of the sour b, strong enough stems to hold her head up, cause those thai girls stacked some massive buds... I'd say you got yourself a very nice cut there for cropping... ;)

Here's a shot of my cj 9 from the original pack... She was definitely a bit more tw/thai, fast growth, and huge yields...

never heard the dj thing ,but i dont see anything wrong with quicker maturing plants

from what your describing sounds sweet to me it = less veg time imo

Amazing what ya can pull out of coco and perlite when there aren't little critters all up in there!! ;)

Got some lime warp s1s that are looking very tasty by the way... One is a leafy bitch, 4 others are looking to be some fine ganja, with bits from both the lvpk and the neville depending on the pheno

One can always hope, lol.

This one was fastest out of a bunch of CJ x SB and White Jones x Live Fire seedlings, but may not stand out amongst strains known for being fast veggers.

That might be very interesting, I've had some CJ hybrids that seemed to lean more toward the Diesel side so I look forward to seeing if that's true and what the differences might be.

I've grown both White Jones and WJ x LF plants from 12/12 without seeing anything that I would call "accelerated" maturation. In fact, this is the first time I've grown any plant 12/12 from seed and have seen alternating nodes early in flower. Usually they still have symmetric nodes even during flower, which leads to large baseball-shaped colas that are prone to mold, like the White Jones pictured below. Notice the symmetrical nodes and round cola. Although I don't have pics of it later in flower, the cola got much rounder and larger, and I ended up losing most of it to mold

You saw the roots I posted above, they were all pretty much like that. Maybe root-bound, but not apparently causing any problems, and it's not showing any signs of slowing down after transplant.

(I should point out that the plant pictured above convinced me that I should never try single-cola style when growing from seed. I'll top 'em all from now on, lol.)

I've never experienced Sour Bubble, so I won't be disappointed at all if that's true. I'm hopeful that these are good signs.

If I get one that's anything like that I'll be pretty thrilled :D

I'll keep ya updated as she progresses, hopefully it'll be an interesting pheno in the end. Got the cuts taken, hopefully they'll root and I'll get to run them proper in the new setup in the future as well.

Thanks for making those beans, I'm excited to see what I can find in 'em.

:thank you:

Monster-cropping gets crazy, huh?

I'm always thinking about crosses I could make someday, lol. I guess it's a bit of a preoccupation. I'll never be a "real" breeder, but I am still fascinated by seeing what I might get from my efforts, however meager and uneducated they may be. Gonna spend some time finding the best Casey hybrid mom I can, however long that takes. Then you know I'll be looking for a good male outta everything I got, including any blues I have at the time :D

Wondering how the CJxSB and CBxDB would play together, since both crosses have Sour Bubble and Thai genetics in their makeup. I aim to find out one of these days :dance013:

I have been pondering this since I read your first post! There will be some gems found in that genetic mashup! The first male I find in either line will be getting its pollen spread around all over!

damn wish I treated that CBxDB male I found, a lil better a few months back, oh well too late now.

Maybe I can hope that this CJxSB seedling I have popped is a stud!

Looking stellar, love the group shots and the furry fan leaves. Looks like a heavy harvest is headed your way. Keep on keeping on JM

Lovely jm... :D

Can't wait to see what ya can find in the BX1... The male was the same as the f3s, so hopefully that should make identifying any leaner towards the colored cut a bit easier... And man does she stink. Got my last casey plant jarred up and passed on... So as of now, the colored cut only lives on your beans and any other BX1s!!

Peace casey lovers, keep it sticky!
