Installing the air cooling
This luminaire requires active air cooling.
All heat generating electronics are mounted in the 150 mm tube. Mount the input of the ducting to the side which has the electronics and the Wieland connector. We recommend approximately 50-100 m3/h to cool the plasma electronics, depending on the input temperature of the air. The luminaire has a double temperature safety circuit which will switch off the power when the internal temperature reaches 70 degrees Celsius. In case of failure of the first temperature safety the electronics themselves have internal temperature safety circuits. When installing more luminaries in line increase air flow. To tune the air flow measure the output temperature of the air: for safe use it should not exceed 50 degrees Celsius.

It's never good for electronics to run high above their average operating temperature, it will not prolong their life. It is not intended to be used like this and damage due to it is not warranted. But I don't think you have to worry about 2 days. As said, they have a double temperature safety feature built in to prevent direct damage and failure.

Of course it is not good for electronics to run above their average operating temperature!

But in my case I have to supply some light to the plants since they are growing at the moment.

Everything will be up and running on Friday hopefully!
Will take some new pics then!

Still having problem with the seed coat though..

in your case I would at least pop in a $5 computer fan in each tube to control the operating temperature instead risking to damage your very valuable electronics and emitter.

I have all three fans on now, and I have removed the earlier ventilation setup.
So there is some air moving through the LEP's, probably more than what a $5 computer fan could move.

All done with the ventilation setup now!
Blueberry skunk never made it, and it was really close that the Black Widow didn't do either.

So I started to germinate two other seeds (Critical+ and Chocolate Heaven) so I could replace them.

After a minor "surgery" with a tweezer and microscope I manage to get the seed coat of the Black Widow, and it survived.

The Blueberry skunk however wasn't that strong so it never survived.

Survival of the fittest huh?

Full scale panorama picture.

yay! they are probably no longer failing on you ;)

They better not, if they do I will blame you! ;)

Was at my brothers house today, noticed he also got himself a Closet Grow.

Although he's growing Bonsai and Chili, it's still something!

Quick update.

Going to veg the ladies until 14th of May (a month exactly), then switching to flowering.

I also got three new LED panels (5w chip, 200w each so 600w in total), but I am having some heat problems now.

Each Module:
11 x 660nm
3 x 630nm
4 x 460nm
1 x 6500K
1 x 730nm IR
1 x 380nm UV
Without the LED lamps the temperature is ideal (about 26 degrees Celsius or 78.8 degrees Fahrenheit), now however the temperature is too high (from 30 - 34 degrees Celsius or 86 - 92.9 degrees Fahrenheit) and I am only using two of three LED panels at the moment.

I installed a fan on the wall, didn't do much though except getting a nice breeze in my closet!

So I am thinking, since I already have two holes to the kitchen (which by the way is way hotter than the rest of my apartment) I can't do another hole there.

However, I might be able to drill a hole up through the roof..
I was at the attic (see attached picture) and thought that maybe I should move the larger fan (intake fan at the moment) and put on the attic and then extract even more air out of the closet and then have a passive intake (160mm intake hole that I already have).

The bigger fan moves quite a lot of air, so maybe I could even add a 600w HPS in cooltube?
For the micromol..

What do you think?

Sure it can be risky, drilling another hole out of the apartment but since I live at the top floor and no one is ever there..
I could cover up the fan nicely and also add a silencer to it.

7 days left in veg.
Before switching I will be cutting off the dead, and almost dead, fan leaves.

great room, i can say from my experience when i was growing in the closet, extracting through a fan to the attic was great for my plants. Good luck with your grow, cannot wait to see them flowering!

The blue cheesed turned out great.
But I liked the Amnesia Mystery the most to be honest.
I'll be updating soon again, with a new strain.

I am a little but worried about extracting air through the attic since it is a "public" attic and anyone can get up there.

But if I want to add an HPS, I have no other choice.

nice setup man...

Thanks! :)
