Dinafem Diesel + DNA/Reserva Privada Freebies

I made my first order for seeds this year, and germinated the following 4 seeds:

Dinafem Seeds Diesel
DNA Genetics LA Confidential
DNA Genetics Stacked Kush
Reserva Privada OG #18

The diesel and og18 are a week older than the stacked kush and la confidential....week 4 for the 2 outer plants. They are rootbound in 1 gallon of soil and waiting to be transplanted.

The diesel and og18 have not been fussy at all, but both the stacked kush and the la confidential already seem to be showing deficiencies at week 3. The stacked kush has already recovered after a mild feeding. The la confidential was fed also but hasn't changed yet.

Soon they will be transplanted into 5 gallon containers and put into the tent with 400 watts of mh, then after a good veg and some clone cutting, switched to 600 watts of hps to finish off.

Pulling up a seat for this one as I just dropped the same seeds into soil today, except for the Dinafem, my 4th seed was LA Silver from RP. Were your seeds fems?

Good luck with yer grow.
I'll be watching closely.

Greetings HYF, mind if i take a peek at whats goin on??

I'm running the stacked aswell, mines at 4.5 wks 12/12. My pheno is VERY nute sensitive, starting to produce fat buds and some sugar.

The aroma of my pheno is very distictive, passed down from the sharksbreath(iv done before), lots of limonene but something else to distinguish it from typical citrus, perhaps overripe melon.

Anyway you got another follower, i'll be lookin on with interest man.....

peace and good luck with the grow:canabis:

Hi Sean, looking good. I'm 1 week into 12/12 with a Dinafem Diesel among others. The Diesel is quite stinky and has been the hardiest of the four different strains I have going.

I did over feed her once too soon after a transplant but that was entirely my fault. Other than that she's been really happy overall. I flushed and she has recovered. Originally during veg (30 days) I tied her down once and also FIM'd the baby. I'm running a 400 in a small place so I've had to make the most out of available area. I trimmed some smaller, stretching shoots to beef up the main ones. I am currently left with the main shoot and 3 'secondaries' that are all the same height, nothing else underneath. I'm looking forward to some dense buds forming on these four shoots. Unfortunately no pics at the moment.

When do you plan on going 12/12? Straight grown (no topping, LST)? Lookin real healthy.

Ive grown the diesel and 18. Both are excellent. The OG18 would be my favorite out of the 2.
The last diesel pheno I had tho, was not flavorful at all, but a hella producer.
What the 18...shell get tall.

Week 5 Vegetative

Vegging has continued in the 1 gallon containers while waiting for room in the tent to clear up. This will be the last photo of these girls in their 1 gallon pots under cfl, next pic will be 5 gallon pots under mh. I broke the top of the OG18 while bending....I stuck it back in place and let gravity hold it together, she doesn't seem to mind. The stacked kush is doing amazing after the early feeding. The LA confidential is catching up to the others but clearly she is way behind. The diesel basically stopped growing while waiting for her new pot, she has become extremely bushy though.

Your set-up looks awesome. Love the strain choices. I've grown dinafem's diesel, it was real good, rock hard nugs that smelled like grapefruit candy. I've also grown the la. It's an awesome plant outside, and indoors it was in the running for whitest strain i had growing, and serious power in the smoke. I did the og18 as well. I did not care for it at all. Grew real good and rooted good, just real small nugs, and not very potent, great taste though. The stacked kush is new for me as well. I just planted a seed of it yesterday, so time will tell.
I see that your using 5 gallon pails. Did you ever think of setting the pails inside another pail. If you do that you can plaster the bottom of the 5 gal the plants are in with holes. Set it in another pail, and look where the bottom reaches down to. Just under the bottom of the pail with the plant in it drill 1/2 inch holes in the bottom bucket all the way around. Now you can water the piss out of them, until you get run-off, and the extra will collect in the bottom pail, and the roots will have all the oxygen available they will ever need. Maitentence should be easy, as all you have to do is remove the top pail to drain out excess water.
I said all this because of the grey lowes pails. I grew a plant outside in the setup i just explained, and i got 8+ ounces from it, and it wasn't even in direct sunlight!!!!!!

lookin good .. keep it going.. i just started germing my outdoor seed plants.. and took a ton of clones for outside too lol . get it done!!!

Thanks everyone. Frank, I will consider the stacked buckets. I can spare the 4", especially if it encourages me to water my girls a bit more. I have tended in the past to run them wet-dry-wet-dry. Those cheap grey lowe's buckets are actually pretty damn sturdy. I have run 3 past grows in them already and they are showing no signs of wear. Ofcourse I meant to keep the lowe's "ad" out of my diary, but when I have spent 2 hours transplanting, at 2 am.....I become absent minded.

The stacked kush definitely has a smell to her, as does the diesel. The other 2 are kinda meh so far.

Week 6 Vegetative

Turned my light up to 600 watts, still metal halide. I've done a bit of training to keep everyone even with the la confidential. The la confidential is stunted even further after I accidentally snapped her main stem while bending (there was no give, just a quick snap).

Note: la confidential has a hollow tube structure with strong but thin walls. I expect her to be able to support weight well, but I'll have to be extremely careful when bending.

I also managed to tear open a small wound on the stacked kush by "twisting off" a leaf, which ended up being much much harder to do than I expected. I'll be using scissors to remove any large leaves from now on. Speaking of scissors, I accidentally clipped a top off the stacked kush when cleaning up my tear mistake.

Otherwise it seems they are growing very well. I plan on flipping to 12/12 in the next 4 weeks, probably 2-3.

From top left, clockwise: LA Confidential, OG #18, Stacked Kush, Diesel.

Week 7 Vegetative

Everything has gone pretty smooth. The plants are growing at a healthy rate. I have put a small stand under the la confidential pot to even out the canopy, allowing me to bend her without feeling like she would disappear under the rest of the group. I am more concerned about getting some clones off the la confidential than yield. Same goes for the stacked kush. I have more seeds of diesel sitting in fridge, and I just don't like og 18's desire to stretch.

Picture of health mate. Good growing, those freebs are serious.

My stacked kush is coming to the end now, it is beautiful, my favourite of my current grow.

Week 8 Vegetative

Things still running relatively smooth. I have added a second 240cfm fan and ran some longer ducting. The temps are down slightly with the extra airflow. The route for air is...outside air, intake duct, through intake fan, into tent, swirled by small fan, sucked through the reflector, exhaust fan, exhaust duct. I am running without a carbon filter for now, will very likely change that this flowering cycle.

There are some signs of burn/deficiency, which I am attributing to me overfeeding them when the soil they were in was pretty hot to begin with (I'll be using fox farm from now on). It hasn't stunted them visibly or seem to be getting worse, so I will go back to a regular feed schedule starting next week.

Speaking of next week, I have flipped the lighting to 12/12. I may take a few more clones from the la confidential since 1 of the 2 I cut seems to be dying off, otherwise these girls are ready to rock. I am very much looking forward to a tent smelling of kushy goodness!
